This was absolutely neat to watch! I would never have thought that horses can have their own "Dr. Scholl's" shoes!
That frog looks like wood!! I have never seen one that hard! Now it looks like he's gellin'
Your videos are satisfying ❤
Better if he told us what he is doing and why. I'm going to go check out another channels to learn more of why.
I think the gel is used because the frog is so hard to make sure the horse doesn't have any problems walking cause the frog is a important part in the hoof
So question, why are you using gel on this one?
Cushion for the hoof. I do not know for sure, but if I was to guess, maybe has coffin bone injury, bruising or crack.
@@melanisticmandalorian the v shape thingy I always forget the name did look pretty rough
@@Lomon_0 the frog is what it's called
@@pokemonwatcher8340 ty I'm probably going to forget it but do you know why he used gel
@@Lomon_0 I mentioned above as to why he would pad the bottom of the hoof, but I forgot to mention it could also be used to give support to the frog, to help circulation.
Satisfying Video
Greetings from germany
thanks brow
Why was the frog so hard? And why did you use the gel on this horse/hoof?
Do you hold your breath when it smokes like this @3:43 ? I do just watching the video 😅
Is the gel suppose to give more stability or cushion? If neither, it would be greatly appreciated if you could clarify what the gel was used for, thank you!
My understanding is pads offer cushion and protect from trauma; as well keep the hoof from drying out.
@@litheran69 awesome, thank you for helping clarify what the gel is for!
i would say is for asepsis, horses don't need cushion
@@leandrokanguroo1ones that are healing or injury prone do.
@@litheran69 fair enough, but that seemed like a healthy hoof
Question
Do you burn the shoe on the hoof to kind of level things out?
I think it's to see how the shoe fits on the foot...
I’ve never seen a frog that hard. That’s a weird sentence. Do you think that’s caused by the gel?

wait so doesn’t it hurt the horse when you scrape out all the dirt and stuff? it seems like you’re doing it very aggressively
If the horse was in any pain it would be making sounds and struggling. This trimming actually wasn’t super aggressive, the trimmer was just having trouble getting the hoof to stay at the right angle. He’s holding it between his thighs and maybe he’s already tired from a long day of trimming. But I assure you the horse was fine.

Los caballos sienten dolor al hacerles eso?
No, es como cortarse las uñas.
