Great video! Hartman Rocks is such an awesome place. I spent a month and a half, last year, hiking/biking the trails and checking out all the rock climbing. I have a few hiking videos of some of the trails on my channel. For anyone who hasn't yet been, there are over 50 miles of hike/bike trails, tons of dispersed campsites (most with fire rings) and more than 14,000 acres to explore. There are vault toilets and porta-potties scattered around the area, as well as a 160 acre area at the entrance that has a large parking lot with loading/unloading ramps for dirt bikes/atvs, and several shorter flowy trails. You can camp for up to 14 days for free AND it's literally 10 minutes from downtown Gunnison.
Yoo, I plan to buy the torque al 5 also in the same color as there is. I'm 1.74 and have an inseam of 86cm I'm 15 years old so I'm going to grow a bit. What do you recommend? I'm very hesitating between 29 or 27.5. I mainly ride enduro and jumps and bike parks, but I also often have to cycle to trails. What do you think of this bike actually I was curious I had heard that this bike has a lot of chainslap is that true and that the rims were apparently very bad that they apparently break quickly... This will be my first fully so I wanted to keep it reasonably in budget and then throw upgrades on it…
Hey there! According to Canyon size chart for 29er, you should be on a M. Obviously if you’re still growing, it’s a tougher decision to make. But I think a large would be noticeably too long. I prefer 29ers, but I’m also on an XL. At the least I recommend a 29 up front, mullets can be really fun too and optimal for shorter riders. I realize Canyon doesn’t make an entry level mullet, but maybe you would enjoy a Commencal Meta SX or Specialized Status. I love the bike. It’s been great to me for the last season. I wouldn’t say chainslap is abnormal. I can confirm the wheels aren’t great and the rear struggles to hold up to it’s intended use, which is unfortunate.
Great video!
