The PNW dirt we all dream of
North Slope quickly became one of my favorite trail systems in the PNW, shoot, the world. Direct fire road climbs so that you can get straight down to business on some of the best descents around. Today we check out Scoby and Down N Rowdy.

I Ditched My Marzocchi Z1 Coil Fork - Here's Why
Просмотров 13 тыс.Год назад
Like a new romance, the Z1 wooed me initially. I loved the traction and supple ride, but with time and experience, my initial joy started to fade. I realized that coil forks can have some shortcomings - it may not affect everyone, but it could affect you (like it did me). Tell me your thoughts and where to ride next in the comments below! Angel Fire Bike Park has NO chill
Просмотров 14 тыс.2 года назад
Angel Fire certainly must be one of the most underrated bike parks in the country... it's isolation in New Mexico may make it more difficult to get to, and it may be overshadowed by other western resorts... but boy does it shine. This is a park you need to check out. Host of a World Cup in 2005, and more recently the BME (Big Mountain Enduro) series, it has a proven track record. AFFILIATE PART...

Leogang's World Cup Downhill track is the 3rd World Cup track that I've tried... and like the ones before it, they never disappoint and they are never to be underestimated! One of the steepest bits caught me off guard and sent me straight over the bars... to be expected on one of the worlds most difficult runs. yeah im 180 cm and always ride size L with Commencal and Giant I have to ride M.....their sizing does not make sense...
I think you need to come back soon. There's been a lot more changes you'd love!
If you come back to the Midwest, go to Duluth and Copper Harbor. There you will find some really awesome trails
I recommend trying screaming eagle it’s part of the rivers edge trail system
If you ever decide to go back again, just letting you know they added onto it and it’s really fun
Is there a trail or park fee?
With hand cold i struggled alot too. Used to buy very expensive gloves, but alot of them are just useless. You either have to buy those superthick gloves or there is another solution. Not very thick gloves for mtb with wind protection and and pair of tighly weaved wool gloves over that. You can easly slide over if you buy a bit bigger than your own hand size. But wool is very mobile and does not restrict as much. Downsite with wool is that they tend to get wet if its like snow rain, but there is also solution for that. Wearing plastick gloves over it.
Good tips! Thanks for sharing!
very helpful. thank you
This is actually Tosser trail. Pantyline shares most of it except a couple slabs.
Hi, is this trail also starts at Nato base?
Angel Fire is a GNARLY bike park. I always see guys there from Trestle coming to ride the gnar! Its rough!!!!! Great video.
you forgot to say Z2 Air
you should weigh 190. lay off the bike, gain weight, go back to coil. resume biking. be a man
lol the Shed looks like an absolutely miserable place to ride in every video I see. Unforgiving. Never-ending rock gardens. I like me some chunk but this place is in a league of its own.
This isnt even the longest run ion the Dolomites. The longest ski run in the Dolomites is the 12-kilometer (7-mile) Bellunese slope at Marmolada, which is located in the Dolomiti Superski area. The run descends 1,810 meters (5,906 feet) from Punta Rocca at 3,265 meters to Malga Ciapela at 1,450 meters.
The ski run from Zermatt to Cervnia/ Valtournenche, is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy longer. its 13.6 miles and a vertical drop of 7739 feet
Hi! Your videos are really interesting to me! I’m part re-locating from NJ to Milan and trying to get some information or maybe a local group riding Como and the area. Any ideas to get me started? Cheers Mark
Do you need any sort of mapping like trailforks as a guide or is everything well labeled
Pretty well marked! Just choose the color of the loop that you want to do and follow along! Always safe to have a map on your phone though, just in case - never know when you might need to detour to get back more quickly. MTB project is helpful too.
YT capra 3 MX or the COMMENCAL Meta SX race 2e hands? for enduro race and a bit bike park
It's a fantastic fork until you try something like a well tuned DVO onyx, Zeb Ultimate charger 3.1 or a Formula Selva... It's not even close 😂
My fav mountain down here in NZ has mtb trails for the summer, I'm not much of a biker but they are so much fun to ski in the winter!
Typical mediocre rider from small town with a narcissistic personality who cannot stop telling you that he travels and lives in italy. six times in 13 minutes....
Ahh yes, hailing from the small town of the Chicago suburbs (population 10 million, very small) 😂 I hope that you can also have more varied experiences and travel and share perspectives with others.
@@GlobalTrailGuide Chicago's population is 2.6 million. I am past those needs, I travelled 93 countries, I lived in three different continents, speak 4 different languages and have 4 different passports. Been there, done that I got the t-shirt.
@@roguerader so are you upset because you’re no longer living that lifestyle? If so, I can understand - once you experience much of what the world has to offer, it can be difficult to transition back to “average” environments vs the best of the best.
Keith Andre bike park in Carpentersville Illinois. It's free admission. It's small but we'll maintained. Mostly jumps and berms. Wanted to comment on video of you at Fitchburg or Janesville when you said steepest decline you've ridden. There is two spots at This park that are like 20 ft and the other about 15 but so steep I did not hit because I felt uncomfortable hitting it riding solo in case I crashed. Definitely check it out if you are in the Midwest again. Slinger Wisconsin is supposed to begood, and want to check out Chestnut Mountain's farside park in Galena,Il.
Andre’s is the best! Been going there for a lonnngggg time. Now just need to make a video there 😅 appreciate the other tips as well!
I had the same issue with my Z1 on medium spring, went with hard spring (215lbs). Fixed my issue, still felt great but ! HSC and HSR felt not that great , switched to a Grip 2 damper to get the adjustment I need and its been wonderful since
Hi, Do you have any recommendations for enduro trails in the north-western quarter of the Lake Como area? Do you know some good rentals in this area for e enduro mtb's? Cheers, Pieter
Not familiar with that specific zone or rental shops in the area - sorry!
No problem. Thanks anyway. Enjoy your rides!
nice you dont show the route you took^^ and praise to your links that dont work!
I am the creator of the wood feature at 3:50! Thank you for showing off the Slippery Moose! Love to see it in a video like this
Incredible - thank you!
where are you downloading these youtube audio clips? they are blob files scattered everywhere in your cache folder youtube makes it where you cant use it in any third party software it seems or i just suck at this horribly
Within RUclips studio there’s a music section and I’m downloading from there and using with different types of software. BenSound is another popular source for some copywrite free music
Wow. I'll be moving there this fall. This trail is too technical for me, I hope to find some easier ones more for a beginner! 😎
Enjoy - I sure miss it! There are lots of trails to experience and a great community of riders within the VMC. Mountain biking isn’t as popular as road and gravel, but you can usually find a few mtbers!
Hey where are you, why did you stop posting?
Moving back to the US was a big transition and I’m focusing priorities elsewhere in life right now. I have a large backlog of content I filmed that I hope to edit and post some day - thanks for checking in
Agree… beautiful but too much annoying gravel! Stunning views though 💪🏻💥
I really love your content. This video was spot on yo did not leave us hanging!

Place looks Amazing! Great video
Have you got the names of any of the trails you rode or a GPX file? I will be there in july and would love to explore this area
Not sure where you’re from, be careful on the 2nd downhill if your not familiar with quite steep and exposed terrain. Absolutely beautiful though. If you ride road bikes, let me know, great routes for that too strava.app.link/CUeEYYtb1Ib
Great video! Just learn how to say Ligure lol
try torque mullet 5 and it solves your 7:50 problem

Torque is an amazing bike, it handles everything you can throw at it. Check out the review videos on my channel. Thanks for watching!
Too much excitement for me. Too dangerous. Not interested
Hope breaks all the way.. I would love to try the new sram mavins hurd they were even more powerful then the hope tech v4s
