Otis Mod. by ? Basement Traction Elevator (Innovation/ECC Fixtures) in Palo Alto, CA

This building has a very unique elevator setup. It appears that the building was built with space for 3 elevators, but only one was installed originally (this car). A second elevator was later added on next to this one. It looks like a third elevator may have been planned, but there are rooms on some/all floors in the spot it would be (on the 1st floor, you can actually walk into this little room). I think the 2 elevators may have been separate (not part of the same bank), but now operate as a bank of 2.
Based on a (now deleted) video of these elevators pre-modernization, this elevator had Otis illuminating black button fixtures originally.
