    "Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front - tactical battalion level combat simulation. It is a sequel to Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star and Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.
    Game is comprised of two modes:
    Operational - turn-based mode where you can shift and concentrate forces in the chosen directions, resupply and replace units, repair and refuel vehicles.
    Tactical - real-time mode where you are conducting fire combat with the enemy, capturing territory, destroying vehicles and the enemy manpower.
    Four large-scale operations for the Red Army and Wehrmacht with realistic organizational structure. The campaign features more than 100 detailed vehicles produced in USSR, Germany, US and UK. Over 140 sq. km of realistic landscapes were reconstructed from topographical maps and photo and video materials.
    -New enhanced UI: streamlined interface of various panels, radial orders menu and other enhancements.
    -Interface appearance and customization: three variants of appearance are included, customizable unit markers (Red Army, Wehrmacht, NATO).
    -High replayability and advanced AI, which selects the best strategy based on behavior, not a predetermined script.
    -Advanced management of forces in the operational phase: reinforcement strategies and management of reserves.
    -Statistics keeping: performance of each unit is recorded (kills, losses, awards, etc.). After each battle, damages and condition of forces and vehicles are shown in the after battle statistics.
    -Battlefield simulation: realistic vision devices, smoke screens and flares, creation of trenches, explosion craters. Remnants of previous battles remain on the battlefield until the end of operation.
    -Realistic soldier behavior: each soldier has several essential parameters, such as experience level, stamina and morale, which influence their behavior and effectiveness.
    -Detailed weapon modeling and realistic ballistics: bullets and projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, taking wind, temperature and other parameters into account.
    -Advanced armor penetration: modeling based on ballistic histograms without simplifications of probabilistic methods, generation of secondary fragmentation fields takes into account many parameters, such as the change of the field shape in space, fragments and armor characteristics, armor thickness and damage conditions.
    -Complex vehicle damage system: engine, suspension, sights, weapons and targeting mechanisms can be damaged separately, affecting the combat capabilities.
    -Destructible environment: almost everything can be blown up and destroyed, from landscape surface and buildings to vehicles and enemy defensive installations.
    -Advanced control of the off-map artillery, featuring various fuse settings and shell types.
    -Formation and movement modes: lines and columns, movement by road and covertly, infantry following behind tanks, setting a delay, fire sectors, etc.
    -Automatic smoke screen laying: units set up smoke screens when enemy is spotted.
    -Dynamic change of the time of day, light sources and weather effects, influence the course of battle, visibility and area passability."

    I have just started viewing your Graviteam Tactics series videos in detail and they are by far the best in depth instruction for the game. thank you for helping me to appreciate this game in all it's subtle yet deep intricacies.

    Just a comment about the stugs. The HE shells actually do an amazing job destroying BT and the t26's. Every single one i engaged with the stugs HE in this campaing, was either disabled in the first 2 hits or turned into burning metal in the first hit. You should give it a try if you are in good position.

      Yeah, their armor is super thin in many places. 15 mm I believe.

      Yeah, their armor might be thin enough for this to work. Also their armor is riveted I believe, wich makes for a lot of spalling inside when hit by HE

      @@Tonci87 Wouldn't their HE shells also technically be capable of blowing off tracks and damaging the sights, guns, etc. of the heavier stuff if you really ended up in a jam, like in this battle?

      @@thisherehandleIdospout In theory yes, but it is very unlikely that the gun crew would be that lucky.

    In Totenkopf’s archives they describe a battle with 3 KVs on August 31st 1941 (two of which blew up on mines). In the lessons learned, they stated that an effective distance of Pzgr 40 against KV was under 200m. Although, that KV also had additional bolted armor (there are photos of the destroyed tank).

    Honestly I was expecting this battle to go far worse than it did, despite the overwhelmingly armour-heavy force opposing your forces you managed to severely blunt this armoured force despite having most of your AT capacity represented by 3.7cm and some 5cm guns, with only two heavy 8.8cm guns that could deal decisive blows against the KVs and only five 7.5cm low velocity APCBC shells capable of dealing with heavier armour. A really impressive outcome even if it proved costly to you, you've done really well in this campaign so far despite some imperfect plays but coming out on top despite those errors just makes it better.

      That is the beauty of this game having such a comprehensive armor simulation. You don´t need to deplete a tanks hitpoints to kill it. Disabling the vehicle so that the crew bails out can be enough.

    Oh wow, I had forgotten the KV-1 was one of the Russian tanks where it was possible to do that with at least one of the internal machine guns - That's some crackerjack attention to detail!

      Yeah the attention to detail in this game is astonishing. Did you know that tank crews can toss grenades out of the hatch if enemy infantry is nearby?

      Very keen observation, I didn’t even notice this is a DT, and assumed the crew just grabbed a spare DP.

      it's an interesting way of implementing this feature: if you look at the loadout of an early KV, there are three DT machine guns listed as tank weapons AND one DT listed as the crew weapon. It would a little tough to test, but I wonder if the number of tank MGs goes down to two when someone jumps out with a DT in their hand?

    Not sure if anyone noticed, but there's a RUSSIAN rifle-caliber round that hit one of the rear drive wheels - 'There by hangs a tale', I'm sure =p

      If one gives an order with “move behind vehicles” modifier, tanks/APCs/AFVs will likely end up shot up from behind with a very large hedgehog of hit vectors. Unfortunately, because there is no friendly small arms fire for the troops (you can area fire DShK platoon into a friendly crowd with no casualties), they don’t take care with AFVs either (although, friendly fire is there in that case)

    Hi to all. I have a question i noticed that when @Tonci87 gives orders to units he can also direct them where they can face seemingly in the same command/stroke i can not find the way to do the same. Also when i press the rotation button to rotate the unit the graphical arrow that shows the direction is not visible to me is it a mod or is something in the settings? i looked but i dont seem to find anything relevant to it, any help will be appreciated!

      Press space to give the orders, then you can hold and drag the cursor to define the direction
