I went on this yesterday and my friend told me so I would get on it that there was no loops. When the ride began he told me there was 5 loops and I was about ot die. I closed my eyes for half the experience and on the loops I felt that I couldn't breath or move from fear. Its a 10/10 and so fun. It was my first big rollercoaster and i'm proud of myself. I actually loved this it helped me get over my fear of rollercoasters.
Bro as you walk up to it you can clearly see it has loops tf
@@sunnyztmoney fr tho
i accidentally went on this thinking it was a kid ride. i was scared but like it’s fine lmao 😎
Did you confuse this to Kiddy Hawk? LOL
It means laughing my a$$ off
@Tri Pie ok boomer
@Tritran678 Roblox no ur actually 72 years old god told me
@Tritran678 Roblox can you atleast search up what it means before you tell some to stfu! Thank you!
I visited Carowinds recently. I was so not ready for that ride. I was in the front row, and when it turned over after climbing the hill, and you're suddenly stupid high off the ground, I felt genuine fear for the first time on a coaster. It was insane. Can't wait to do it again lmao.
Went today and wanted to try this so bad. The standing up 1 2. But it wasn't rainy or windy so idk y they didn't run it. Tried to get in line for the stand up 1 but they shut it off b4 we got to it. 🤔🤷🏻♀️. Kind of mad about that. Also intrigued to y they wouldn't run those. I like the other coasters. I've just tried them already. Never tried to wooden 1 but I dont think I'm too impressed by it. Those woods and nails thing just sounds too old school for me & something might possibly break. Might try it anyways tho :/ bc at least it doesn't have loops. All these ppl saying how rough rides r, id assume that 1 must be the most bumpy 🤔🤷🏻♀️
This is my favorite coaster in the world, and I've been on many. I can't quite put my finger on what does it, but the layout combined with the riding position and the chained inversions, the colors (including the water below)... Everything about it just makes me joyful. It's easy to imagine yourself as a bird on this one, even moreso than Superman or Tatsu (both great rides too!)
It is a rough ride for some people. From what I've seen, the bigger/heavier/taller you are the worse off you'll be. Sitting in one of the center two seats will decrease the roughness in any row. If you're not worried about that, the back row is the best ride. Front row center is good for minimizing roughness, but due to the riding position, every row has an open view, so the front isn't necessary for that. It almost feels like you're riding it alone, no matter where you sit. I'm 5'9, 125lb (175cm, 56.7kg) and I've not experienced any roughness, at least none that overrides the joy this ride gives me.
As a nice little bonus, since the trains take a while to load, there's a good 3-5 minutes where you can get a power nap in the auxiliary station while your train is queued to unload.
I recommend going for this one and Copperhead right at park opening (even before Fury) because once the line gets big, they take forever. Fury can have a long line and still move a good volume.
I like the fact that you lay down but why can't you go forwards I want to see them make a roller coaster that somebody with handicaps can ride I just want to take one last ride
This used to be a ride at an Amusement Park in California. I remember seeing it under construction and based on the track, I was so confused how a roller coaster could immediately roll upside right off the lift hill. Then came the commercials showing it was a flying coaster, a first of its kind, and holy crap my friends and my minds were blown. I was sad to see it leave our park but I am also glad it didn't get demolished and that it found new life elsewhere and continues to be enjoyed by people.
Rode that back in the day it was awesome. It was called Stealth.
I believe that it was in Kings Island Ohio as fire hawk as well at some point.
Ive been on this ride as well as all the other ones but this one is probly the best but it always has a extremely long line
Daily Trends yeah I went on this one I was in line for a hour about
Yea the main reason it’s so long is because it takes so long to prepare the riders
Yeah it took 20 minutes to get in here for me
It looks very scary, and uncomfortable. If I try this it won't be my favorite, *fury* is better.
Orginal reply:It looks very scary, and uncomfortable. If I try this it won't be my favorite, *furry* is better.
I always buy the fast lane pass
This was the only ride where I thought I was gonna die🤣🤣🤣
crzymuthafacker Same here lol.
Just wait til you get on X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain....
@@andrewchung2940 that ain't nothing
......
Is The Nighthawk still open ?
@@Ravens331 yes
I’m riding this one next, then the afterburn, then the intimidator, then at last, the fury...
Wish me the best of luck!
Endfinity Eggs I rode Intimidator and Fury but seeing nighthawk I think I’ll get sick
The fury isn't bad... I went on it after the hurler
The fury was my first roller coaster.
ᗩᑌTᑌᗰᑎ ᒪYᑎᑕᕼ Nobody cares that you’re nine
It’s either fury or fury 325. Not the fury
I was under the impression this was a kiddy coaster when I got on it. BOY was I wrong
😂
I went to scarowinds last year with some friends. I’d never ridden a roller coaster before. They got me on this one first thing. Everything else was a piece of cake after this. Lol I was terrified.
The same exact thing happened to me lol, rode this one first 🙃
My 1st ever coaster was Intimidator 💀
Most impressive part of this ride video is the Jorts being worn 🤣😂😅
It looks like it would feel so nerve racking when your going up and can’t see what’s coming up behind you but then once you go down you can see why it’s called nighthawk
Proud to say this was my first roller coaster ever!
Mine too
Almost pissed myself
My first one was the gold rush roller coaster
Mine was the roadrunner
I didn’t like it because it gave me a bad cramp
@@paddy-daddy so you could say it squirted?
I rode this when it was still the BORG Assimilator. It's still a great ride, but I miss the old theming.
Ok what. Why. I need this back. 😂
This was my favorite coaster at Great America when it was Stealth. So upset that they moved it. The riding position is an unobstructed view for everyone. So smart. Not sure why the format isn't more popular, but it's like nothing else.
I went to scarowinds back in 2019 and this was the first thing I rode after not being there in like 5 or 10 years. I used to be able to stick my arms out but that time I had a death grip on the seat and was so terrified that I was dead silent for the whole ride. Good times.
when we were about to get on, the people in front of us got stuck laying down lol. but there was this kid who just got tall enough to ride all of the rides that was super excited so that made me really happy
I am going to Carowinds today and I am going on the Night Hawk first!😳
I hope I go this weekend with my friends
Kyrptin dude its not even open
@@lozzyishere too late for that
I go all the time in the summer I get a gold pass and go whenever I’ve been on most rides probably been 30 times in my life
No, it's just the way the gravity pulls on your body when you're just hanging on the restraints and not touching the seats.
The main reason I have resisted riding this. Anxiety. Lol
Exactly
It's super fun
i went on this ride not realizing how extreme it was 😭😭
Every time I hear extreme I think of those white dudes from Harold & Kumar
@MrLegendpk It's a small coaster, not quite in the same league as Tatsu. The laying position rather than hanging for loading and the lift is uncomfortable also.
This was my first ever roller coaster. I was scared shitless.
I’m so sad they are taking it down 😢 this will always be remembered.
It’s running right now lol
It’s running right now
What ?? it got dismantled?
They arent?!
this is an AMAZING ride and the veiw is AWESOME!
My girlfriend saw me walking after I watched this and thought that I was drunk
I thought this would be a good ride, then then laid me down but then the fucking ride went backwards and I had to hold my friend's dad's hand and close my eyes to survive
Did you think you were in the front for a second too or were you confused because the lift his is behind you lol this ride is a troll
🤣🤣 I was thoroughly confused for the whole ride!! 🤣🤣 I will have to find and ride this one! 😆😆
I rode a version of this at Paramount Parks like 20 years ago. Gave me the worst neck pain as a kid.
this ride is my third favorite ride at carowinds. behind the intimidator and fury. but still a very good ride.
You think this is better than afterburn and copperhead?
I went on this ride, it is surprisingly smooth.
Ride fury then say how smooth it is XD. Nighthawk is not rough more or less shaky
I felt the back of my head get a bit rattled but for what it is, it is smoother than you'd think
My sister hates this. I don’t know why! Me and my cousin rode it for the first time (mind you I chugged a Powerade right before it) and I loved it. I have a strong stomach whenever I go on rollercoasters so I didn’t really mind, but those two inversions near the end (corkscrews I think?) made me a little nauseous, but I still loved it.
Carowinds was my home park before I moved and I hated this ride back then cause it was too intense for me. Hell I remember when it was called the borg assimilator
I went on this ride thinking I was gonna go the other way
I bet you were in for a surprise, lmao
I think I saw Jesus when I went on this ride
Most terrifying ride I've ever been on.
Pretty intense!
that's what she said
this ride was so fun it felt like i was flying
The screaming girl was so soothing to hear on my headphones 🎧
I remember when this was stealth at Marine world, waited in line for 3 hours and it was my favorite ride. Can't believe they tore it down and sent it to North Carolina😭
First off, it’s actually in South Carolina. And second off, there are many other better flying coasters in california that you can ride.
@@puffinthemuffin2127 my bad on location. But yes the closest flying coaster (there is only one in California now) is over 7 hours away so a bit ridiculous.
It’s in North and South Carolina
Went this last Saturday and me and my daughter were not ready for this one lol
I might go to the Carolinas next year and go to Carowinds. This unique ride will be one of the rides I'll be doing. I love the yellow track and blue supports.
Bad news: word on the block is that they’re taking this ride down. It hasn’t been open for the past few seasons and when it does open the line is up to 3 hours long according to posted signs
@@704branding, well, I guess this would be my first ride there if it does open back up again. Thanks for the information.
I like this coaster because it gives me flashback to Firehawk at Kings Island.
I just went to Carowinds yesterday for the 1st time. Nighthawk is so fun but kinda scary.
This has to be the most underrated ride in the world. People absolutely trash on it because it has a rattle but the thing is is that it’s super forceful, fun and visually stunning too. This is in my top 5 at carowinds for a reason. It’s really good
dude go on the nighthawk at scarowinds on opening night, theres no one in line! as soon as i went up the steps it was my turn to get on
im never riding that
SolarDash it is def intimidating to lay on your back. But it’s a super cool and smooth ride. Once you get past the first hill, you feel like a superhero basically
SolarDash Pussy
Coward
Is it worse than fire hawk
@@ArrowThrills No, I'd actually consider Nighthawk to be probably the best Vekoma you could possibly ride.
Going to Carowinds this Friday. Can't wait to ride this!
I love this ride it is one of my favorite rides
I wish it was smoother. I remember going on this ride once and the dispatcher asked everyone after if they had fun and all you could hear were groans.
I tried to go on this 2 years ago but I think they were fixing it, now I'm going in about two weeks and I can finally ride it. Going for my birthday turning 20 by the way
Went on this my sister snatched my hairline 😂
This ride should be called The Disorientor
Most intense roller coaster I have ever been on and I’ve been on 30 different coasters
I’m going to carowinds today I love the copperhead strike
Dont put "the" in front of names
omg i have got to go on this ride!
valkiriavieira1976 very scary it was lol
This ride was sooo much fun
I remember going on this when it was named Stealth here in Cali.
@sharpproductions ah i kinda figured thanx 4 ur feedback:)
Haha love the jean shorts. :D
I changed my mind about wanting to be on this ride at the rising part before the crazy drop and stuff
Omg I rode the same one I passed out then woke up saying I NEED TO TAKE MY PILL and started crying I went here for a field trip ones time
I rode this before, I was freaking out the first time I went on it
Member getting on this in 6th grade my seat wouldn’t latch and they called for the ride to start I was scared shitless lmao luckily the closed latched last minute
Is this ride bumpy/rough?
OMG THIS VIDEO GAVE ME THE MEGA HEADACHE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE ITS GOING...NOW IM DIZZY!!
With the video it's confusing i agree, as you can't see exactly which direction their facing or what the loops look like. This ride is one of the ones where you'll just have to ride it to actually experience it (then again all rides are like that). In the beginning though, basically you're facing the ground, strapped to the seat then going forward you flip over. I definitely recommend it, one of my favorite rides.
Best ride ever!!
With the insane amount of restraints these have you felt like you were going to fall out?! I don't really think either type gives you that feeling, but if you felt that way on one of these the B&Ms will be worse.
Sharp Productions I only felt like falling out during the loop, which I do NOT like loops. I didn't know the ride had one so it was unexpected.
I went to Carowinds for a field trip last year and rode the fury but for some reason I can't convince myself to ride this one
wasn't this called the Borg Assimilater before?
I remember going and it was star trek themed when they first opened it....
Yes, it was called The Borg Assimilator
I first rode this when it was called Stealth at Great America in San Francisco
@rolliesserpent2 B&M Flying coasters!
I’ve been on the two other vecoma Flying Dutchman’s but not this one. Is this one really as bad as people say it is
This ride is so rough especially the double corkscrew at the end
It wasn’ really that rough for me I was one seat away from the very back
Looks tight
that's what she said
sharp, how would you compare this ride to tatsu?
Sharp, i rode firehawk which is pretty much the same as this, and it gives you that felling that you're just gonna fall out. Does manta at sea world, or B&M flying coasters in general give this feeling? Ive only done vekoma so far.
i’ve ridden manta so many times and it’s really fun! there only really that feeling that you’re going to die when you’re going down head first in a pretzel, but everything else is super comfy and flowy, it feels like you’re flying. super great ride
Not at all, very secure and comfortable while moving.
First big loop on the Manta crushes your soul.....after that it's Amazing 😄
I’ve been on this it feels like ur flying
This is one of the most confusing restraint systems I have ever experienced on a ride in my life. There are no handlebars at all to hold on to like most any coaster I ever been on but a single doorknob looking dongle slap dab between your legs. I had literally bo clue if it was there to hold on to or not. I rode this for the first time and came off it with my sides actually hurting. I need to ride it again on an inner seat to see if it is better but man this thing hurt.
You’re supposed to put your arms up like you’re flying, that’s why Six Flags has themed most of their versions as Superman
awesome ride
I went on this today I'm 8 you closed my eyes the hole time had fun it not as scary as you think probably because I close my eyes
Not gonna front, that shit was scary as fuck. The line was super long, but someone was kind enough to let me borrow their fastpass for it ;)
It was so fun when I went on it 😂
ahhh the memories
I rode this one it's scary
Love this ride me and my cousin be in the front
which flyin coaster models r better Veoma flying dutchman or b&m flying coasters i never been on vekoma's version b4 n im just wondering which is better
rolliesserpent2 B&M Tatsu is madness
I like this ride to it was fun
ITS MY FAV RIDE IN THE ENITRE WORLD
I was kicked off of this coaster in August, 2013 because my 6'4" 260lb frame wouldn't fit.
I got up and walked down the stairs where you exit after the ride is over.
I stood in line for around 30 minutes, so that sucked. But it was okay, because I rode it when I was 12, years ago.
That’s right at the limits of most coasters. Even new coasters built today are sometimes coming with a 76” max height limit. Some Intamin coasters have 74” limits, it’s maddening.
What coaster does the red track in the background (on the lift hill) belong to (the track with the cobra roll)
CynicalOstrich vortex i’m sure
Carolina Cobra
Some quality airtime
@HeroMKW Which was originally X-Flight at Geauga Lake/ Six Flags Ohio...
@pokewil yes it was before it was moved to carowinds
I don't know how pretty like this. Gave me a bad freaking headache
Today I went to carowinds its Been 2 years since I've been and I rode every ride the night hawk and intemidator is my fav I don't like the fury tho I cried as I was going up but still liked it🤣😭
Omg same! I went today as well, I’m thinking about riding the night hawk the next time I go
@nummzy123 No, not even. X2 is a 4D coaster, and this ride is a vekoma flying. Totally different.
I rode every roller coaster at carrowinds except after burn and nighthawk
@MrFunnyGuy83 um...bc Disneyland has sucked since 1976 or earlier?
@HeroMKW Same model, just a different layout!!! and actually the way this looked on here i think the one at kings island is way better!!!! and actually the one at kings island is a relocate from Geagua Lake and it was called X flight and the track was Neon yellow/Green and it had white supports!!!
