Hi Laura, Aaron and Benjamin! I was so excited when I saw in the title that we would get to see Mollie! I think about her often and am so happy for her to be with your family and looking so happy and beautiful! I love the way the pots turned out and the color combinations, they're beautiful! Your in-laws back yard is so pretty. I would spend most of my days out there just swinging on the porch of the lovely cottage and enjoying the peacefulness and birds singing. They have a great setup for their chickens, and the one with all of the feathers on it's feet ~ too cute! Poppy is a pretty cat. Thank you for sharing!

Made me smile when you found that extra bit of soil that needed a plant =) Loved hearing the mourning doves and other birds in the background when you were planting the pots. 🎶The containers turned out beautifully. Those colors go really well with that color of pot. Love your choice of plants and flowers! I need to make a note and try them. I love the quiet early mornings and late nights too, but the evening comes first, so that side usually wins. ;) An early morning is like a gift to ourselves. However you start and end the day Laura, you spend the in-between hours doing good things for people you know and for those of us you have never met. 💟 Congratulations to you and all who work with you on 900k plus subscribers! Don’t worry, they probably feed the cat, I mean it’s their cat after all..
Moreover, cats won’t try to attack another species that is similar to their side just to eat them, they most of the time attack when they feel frightened and when it happens it doesn’t really matter what the size of the other species is, even if it was a big dog it will at least end up with a couple scratches that will leave marks and will bleed badly.
I enjoyed seeing the Mellow German Shepherd, so many of these German Shepherds are mean and used as a watchdog, and I just love the attitude this dog had I wish more of them were raised this way. The pots looked awesome a-plus-plus.
What a sweet day! I loved hearing the doves in the background, I don’t feel like I hear that at your house. You were quiet for a bit, I think you enjoyed them too!

I love family yard sales. They are so fun! Molly is a doll. She has really grown. Has it been 1 1/2 yrs? I can’t remember. Gorgeous and such a sweet girl. Those pots I would have never chosen, and with those flowers they are gorgeous. I’m seeing people using this cobalt blue more and more and it’s really stunning. Hope your FIL had a wonderful day. Glad to see Laura also adds to pots when they have a spot open. I have done this multiple times this year. With the way this gardening season has gone, I buy the plants when I see what I want. So, it meant the pots in front of my garage had spiller, but no thriller for a long time. Finally, I found purple fountain grass. They are catching up nicely in the pots!!
It is good to see Mollie, it is obvious she is loved and well cared for. The containers are beautiful as always. I have used many of the plants you refer to in your videos, but I have never tried a heuchera, and you have me really wanting to try one.
That home office, and there is me fighting 'work for home' for various reasons. I have been going into the office every day since this started, but there are only two of us left on the floor, so there is plenty of distance. However, if I had a home office like that, I may feel differently.
Look at that fancy shoes on that chicken! Love seeing these kinds of videos. Mollie looks happy and healthy and she even gets along with the kitty. Good girl! Definitely the right decision to rehome her there.

I often think about, after I have slept in on a weekend morning, how I could have done so much more had I not slept in. I always think, 'I'll bet Laura is up and has probably already planted 4 containers, laid 300 feet of drip line and planned 3 more videos and here I am...putting cream in my coffee...' 🤣 I need to be more like you, Laura! I always keep a couple of shower curtain liners folded up in the back of my SUV. Then when I need to haul flowers etc I just unfold them and line the back of the SUV. When finished I can wipe them off as needed and store for the next trip. Loved seeing little Benjamin. He is precious.

I just recently found your channel and I have enjoyed catching up on older videos. My 10 and 8 year olds have also taken an interest and started taking notes in their journals of plants they want to plant. Thank you for helping me instill a love of gardening in my children!

read on a comment somewhere, wish I could remember, but it is a little ditty to remember what the 3 numbers mean for fertilizers Just remember "Up, Down, All Around" (foliage, roots, all round health) corresponds to the number and what they are for.....awsome
Nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P) and potassium(K).
Nitrogen helps with green leaf health and production, phosphorus for healthy roots, flowering and setting fruit, and potassium for healthy metabolism. You got the gist of it.
So basically you generally want a balanced NPK ratio, but depending on specific need, you may want a higher Nitrogen or Phosphorus number.
elines acevedo yes thanks the saying is just a general saying to help you remember what the numbers refer too when you are looking for a specific fertilizer for a specific issue ....roots (ie down) ?? you look for a higher middle number

I live in Los Angeles, and even though your and your parents’ garden inspires me beyond belief, the chances of one like that in LA is slim to none, I’d love to see this smaller garden as it’s more realistic for an urban setting like mine.

Awe, Mollie sure has grown up. What a pretty girl! Can totally relate to being a morning and night person. I'm a 3rd shifter and when I get home from work at 8 in the morning and it's nice and sunny, the birds are singing, I SO want to stay up and work in the garden, but I'm also exhausted from working a 12 hour shift so I have to go to sleep. Ugh. It's near impossible to flip myself around on days off, but I try. There's never enough hours with sunlight in them...

You should make a garden for an nursing home. Our older ones would love a natural little parkish garden. My grandmother who loved gardening was in a nursing home. She needed 24 hour care. It nearly killed us to put her in the home. She thrived when she saw the garden and she was able help out the staff, on her good days. The staff loved her. Rip grandma.. Some grandparents would love growing veggies and flowers

Thank you, so much, for sharing Mollie with us. I can tell you miss her being yours but I know you did the right thing. We have a male cat that showed up here as a kitten and we have an older female cat and another male. He started playing so rough with our timid little female that she hid, all the time. Now, we have to keep her and a litter box (ugh) in a room with the door shut, all the time. We've tried all the tricks that the online cat whisperers have said to try and nothing works. He just plain attacks her, now. It's so strange! He gets along with our other cat and dogs and ppl but he won't tolerate her, at all, and she was here first! It has really made a few things more difficult in our home but we do what we can to keep our pets happy. We have never, in 38 years, had anything like this happen. All of our pets have always got along and been great brothers and sisters.
