    1) you don't know what your talking about, BV didn't go 5-7 first season. That was Texas in Year 1 of Sark. BV went 6-7.
    2) the DL is a good strength, with Dominic Williams(DW) in the middle, R Mason, Ethan Downes, PJ, And the power behind them. Up the middle is the strength, with DW up front, Stutsman, Lewis an Cheetah in the middle and the safety class, good luck.
    3) you gave no credit to Bill Bedenbaugh, the best OL Coach in America. Coveted by even the NFL. He will have them ready.
3.1) that Offense goes against that DL everyday, they will be ready for most teams.
    4) Jackson Arnold had a bad bowl game, partially, aside from 1 bad decision the rest were good defensive plays. JA had no first team practices that whole year until the bowl game. He showed huge promise, and now gets to practice against a BV defense that is gonna probably give up less than 17 points per game on average.
    5) the RB room is not decimated. Sawchuck was injured all of last year, and he still averaged 100+ yards over the last 5 or 6 games. Plus they have the number 1 rated 5 star RB in Tatum. That dude looks like a cross of AP and Demarco Murray and he probably is gonna red shirt.
Not to mention Kalib Hicks is a studd, Barnes is great and has tons of experience.
The OL will give them what they need under the tutelage of BB. JA will carve up ALL SEC defenses with Burks able to blaze past all safeties and DBs in SEC, not to mention Nic Anderson who is a TD machine, Gibson, and Andrell Anthony.
This team is stacked. And I didn't mention Caiden Woullard... And the rest of the backups. Woullard is gonna be scary.
Billy Bowman is looking like an absolute Studd.
Texas is the only game that can be a tossup. But OU has won 68% since 2000, including last year.
    Ceiling for OU is Undefeated.
    Floor is 10-2
    Probably it will be 11-1
If so, it will be because of BB. The best OL coach in the game.

Lets just give sooners the title. They the bestest. Your #2 at RB is a TrFr? WOW. If he can't pass block he either gets his QB killed or he doesn't see the field much. Not in critical situations.
sooners defense is going from a unit that gave up 31 PPG last eight games of season to less than 17 a game? That great uo d will earn it in '24. They will face 5 of the best offenses in college ball this year. You really think ok is going 7-0 VS rest of SEC? Damn I bet there isn't an ounce of crimson kool aid with 500 miles of your house. burks and his 13 YPC avg.

Well you seem to feel as highly confident to the point of overlooking having to play my hometown Tigers in Death Valley this season...as many LSU fans seem to be overlooking the OU game this year as if it should or could be a matter of showing up on time for kickoff and it's a guaranteed win.... I think the game will gain a lot more of attention and significance (nationwide rather than our own fanbases) as the season plays out and we get closer to the date, and I expect it to be a great game and hell of a matchup that will likely be decided on whichever team makes the fewest mistakes and has a lucky break or 2 rather than which makes the most explosive plays. But I'm apparently alone in the opinion and outlook for it or in the small minority of like-minded fans as many seem to have little concern or excitement for the game and mention it in the same regard as playing Miss State at home for instance... A game we should be highly favored in and have no business in losing (most years) minus the team completely imploding and self destructing somehow..... I know look forward to seeing it alongside Sooner fans who will be welcomed, respected, and treated well in Baton Rouge and we'lll do our best to be accommodating hosts this year

MORE than sooners. MORE than texass. MORE than the whole lil xii added together. MORE national championships than the ENTIRE left coast combined. MORE than michigan. MORE than buckeyes. MORE than uga. MORE than clemson and MORE than the noles. Did I leave any blue bloods out?

Appreciate the OU coverage! This is a pretty fair take, and I like a lot of what you said, like giving our WRs and LBs props. I have a few insights though as an OU fan:
    1. The pass rush was weak last year because a lot of opponents ran max protect for passing plays.
    2. Our DBs and passing defense were actually really good when you crunch the numbers. We were the 11th most passed on team nationally but held the QBs that faced us to their lowest completion %s and QBRs of their seasons. We also had more interceptions than passing touchdowns allowed, which is pretty legit.
    3. The RBs are actually studs, RB 1 and 2 were both injured last year, so we had to rely on a transfer who was always only meant to be a body.
    4. This is actually the most talent we have had in the OL room since we won the Joe Moore award, but like you said they are young and inexperienced. We DO expect one freshman to shine, Eugene Brooks, who was manhandling 5 stars at the under armour camp last season. All in all BEdenbaugh knows how to make a line work, and hopefully it all comes together by the Tennessee game.
    5. The DT is deep and we will have a 6 man rotation, all of them over 300 lbs. we got Damonic Williams in the portal who was all Big12 and a freshman all American. We also got 2 of the best DTs in the ‘24 class and one of them is already in the 2 deep rotation. I don’t project this room being any sort of weakness for us, it’s going to be one of the better DT rooms in the SEC

The D-Line is going to be a massive strength this year with Dajon Terry returning and with Dominic Williams transferring in. Those dudes ain’t getting bullied by nobody😂
The D-Line also is incredibly deep with several guys waiting, along with an incredible freshman class with 5 star David Stone alongside Jayden Jackson.

OU fan here. Not a terrible overview, but here’s some things that you got mistaken that you might want to know:
    1. Bill Bedenbaugh is one of the, if not the best o-line coach in the country, he has never put out a bad o-line. There’s a lot of talent on that line, just not a lot of depth so yeah I agree the o-line is the most questionable position group, but I don’t think it will be as bad as people make it out to be. Also the only G5 o-linemen we got were Hickman and Nwaiwu, who were some of the best o-linemen in the G5. The rest of the transfers are fairly experienced P4 o-linemen.
    2. The special teams were pretty bad last year and didn’t look much better in the spring game. Oklahoma brought in a new ST coordinator so hopefully it’ll be better, but I don’t expect much from them.
    3. Defensive line is pretty deep. When teams last year weren’t max protecting the pass rush was great. Our best run-stuffing d-linemen is coming back, Oklahoma got the best d-linemen from the big 12 from the portal in D. Williams. The edge room is extremely experienced and good and also has some of the best young talent we’ve seen on the edge room in OU in a long time.
    4. The RB room is actually really good. The people who left were Walker, Major, and Smothers. Major quite frankly was not good, and smothers was a true freshman 3-star. Walker was good though, we’re gonna miss him, but Sawchuck is coming back and he was one of the best RBs in the country in the second half of the year after he returned from injury. Hicks, a sophomore, is shooting up the depth chart and looks good, OU got one of the best FCS RBs out of the portal, and they also got the best RB from the 2024 class. Barnes is coming back from an injured foot with experience, Megwa (I think is his name) is a powerful dude and is coming back, and X was the best RB in the state of Oklahoma in the 2024 class.
    5. The pass defense should be better this year. They were good last year whenever they covered the edges, but Ted Roof would often use a lot of zone packages that would leave the middle of the field wide open and that’s where most teams got us. The new DC, Zac Alley, likes utilizing the safeties by covering the middle of the field. Plus OU has the safeties for it: Billy Bowman, RSJ, Peyton Bowen, etc.
Most of the other stuff you got right though, I just went into a little more depth just so you would know

I see a lot of talk about how much tougher the SEC is over everyone else week in and week out. I just do not buy it. Statistically, the Big 12 has had the highest scoring dog fight games week in and week out. I am not saying that the big 12 is the best conference at all. I am just saying, the defense will not have as much high pressure defensive battles against high scoring offences week in and week out. It is like those big 12 defenses are playing 2 games in one in terms of plays. Something that the SEC for sure cannot say and are probably 4th on the list of all of the conferences? What if it is a welcomed change for OU to not have to be in a dog fight aerial battle every week and they end up doing very well due to their experience? I just think that there needs to be a wait and see attitude instead of the pretentious, we are the best attitude that most SEC fans have over other conferences. Note that I am also an OU fan and we are joining the conference.
