Love how you sandwiched the envelope in between two pages. Love envelope ideas. Working on my 1st altered book. Mixed media rocks!!! Thx California Girl! From a “Georgia girl”. 👍🙏🏻🖌

You know I just love these fabric pieces---they bring so much texture to the book's pages- so yummy!!! :) When I did this page before, I couldn't cut up the piece- I just couldn't!! But I am going to try it again and follow the tutorial all the way through- even cutting the pages and fall in love with it all over again!!
you do enjoy your fabric don't you brandy....you are my fabric cheerleader! i love that! go...cut them up...yay! see you on the table my dear friend...
The moody lighting makes me feel I'm in the studio looking over your shoulder. I like it. You pulled me in with the way you used the fabric swatches, dots and donuts. Really enjoyed every minute and feel inspired to go create.
hey there robin....mood lighting...you are so polite! lol...any normal...sane person would wait for the sun to come up...but nope...i might forget...lol! so yes...you are right on the table with me...and i thank you for that!!! oooooh....the fabric is so fun to play with! see you on the table robin...and welcome to 'our village'!
You're in New Zealand and I'm discovering some of your 'older' videos (& it never ceases to amaze me what you come up with) -- as I have said before, you are communicating a lot more than art techniques :)

Fantastic pages (no surprise there)! LorriMarie and her asbestos fingertips. Between chicken wire, aluminum cans, and frequently vigorously rubbing coarse surfaces, I'm surprised you have any fingerprints left. (Bank heist at dark o'clock. Not a trace of evidence left behind. Detectives stumped.) Love ya lots! 🌸
well sue....for the bank heists at dark o'clock....detectives stumped....i invite the entire village to dip there fingertips in modpodge and join me!!! lol....no...not a single fingerprint found!!!! lol...love ya sue! see you on the table...(ski masks provided!)

Hey Sistah, just received your delish altered book in the mail! OMGosh it is pure heaven to slowly look (and touch) every page. It awakens every one of your senses!! Your art is amazing to say the least. Even cooler up close and in person! Today I am busy rusting up an even bigger batch of goodies for my books. LM, you are obviously a huge inspiration to me. Thank you so much for sharing it all with the Village.
oh my darling lynn.....i got to be with you when you thumbed through the book.....i am so glad that it has come to live with you....thank you for your notes, your comments and your support! see you on the table..
The first one of these I made---I love it so much I am framing it instead of using it for my book...but I already glued in the envelopes, so off to the table to make another one of these today!! I have some ideas on how to make it work with my envelopes- possibly even a focal point ready, too. I love this background technique--so hoping I can actually get this one in my book---if not, another frame is waiting -- just in case!!
you are playing with the solarity project, right brandy? sooooooo fun....mixing fabric and paper and then more, and more, and more....i love it!!!!! see you on the table my friend!!!
Hey sweets, these two pages are divine! Love the colors, and design, and the envelope pockets are a new look. Yummo! Can't wait to try this in my new book. Thanks!

Hi LorriMarie🖐🏻👋🏻🖐🏻This was awesome!! At first I thought I knew where you were going with this, then you cut the paper up and I was like what!?!? Lol Its amaze balls!!! Just love this and will do it tomorrow.. TFS😅📖🎨✂️🖊Have a wonderful evening 💕😊🐚gracie
lol gracie....i had you sitting on the edge of your seat did i now? art is so much fun, right? love it!!! thank you so much for playing along! see you on the table gracie!
thank you judy....this was really a lot of fun to play with...i do love fabric scraps! i got a million of them...ha cha cha cha cha....lol! see you on the table..
What an amazing background. Cutting it up and re positioning the pieces was very effective. I particularly love the stencil. I don't have any material so I guess brightly coloured scrapbook papers would work. And maybe card stock to create the circles that you removed, or maybe I can cut up an old tea towel . I'm sure I have a holey one somewhere 😀 Thanks for a brilliant tutorial. I wonder if I'll just end up with a book full of amazing backgrounds and no focal points though 🙄 .... Hugs from a hot sunny England 😎 X
well hello lmamt! so fun to have you in 'our village' with us!!! we do have alot of inspirational fun here....i love playing with mixed media...i never know where it is going to take me...but i am always packed for an adventure! see you on the table!
I first found your videos when I was searching for ASMR artwork. Are you familiar with ASMR? Your videos are very relaxing to me because they are authentic, and you don't feel the need to talk the entire time. I enjoy the sounds of the papers and inks, stamping, etc.
angela....i am not familiar with ASMR artwork....would love to hear more!!! thank you for taking the time to leave a comment angela...and i do not feel the need to talk a lot in my videos...the artwork has so much to say i cannot get a word in edgewise....lol....see you on the table angela!
@@lorrimarie2002 According to Wikipedia, here is a short description of ASMR: Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control. A genre of videos which intend to stimulate ASMR has emerged, of which over 13 million are published on RUclips.
Lorrimarie, do you come back and cover the pages with mod podge to keep things like the distress inks or water colors from deactivating with moisture in the future?
no murphy i do not....i really have not had any problems with activating the watercolors, etc...seal it if you must tho....with the clear acrylic spray....see you on the table....
you are keeping up? wow....i am so proud of you! and yes...this is like the beginning of the solarity project...too fun not to do again, right? i do love fabric and modpodge....delish! thank you kat kat for the comment! see you on the table...soon....
Hey there lorrimarie! Just watching some random older episodes of yours, and watching this one triggered a memory of a technique I saw done on craft show on tv long ago. Anyway, I thought you might like to try it out sometime. You take a picture of something or I think any design would work, then you lay over the picture a layer of dried beans, and then you spray paint black over the top of that (but ya know I think any color of paint could be used.)then you remove the beans. It's sort of the same thing as what you're doing here with the circles and dots.except its spray paint and beans. Its a nice effect. Sort of makes a mosaic look if memory serves. I had fully intended to try it sometime but never got around to it. . Still want to though. Now that I've remembered it. Lol. Just sharing an idea. Thought you might like it. I do. Lol. Lotsa love, and big ol' hugs! 🤓🤗😁🐤🤣😃🙄🍃😹🐣😙🙄🤓👀and a smily parade! Stay well🤗
@@lorrimarie2002 oh, I soooo wish I could do that, and I am just next door in Washington State, but may as well be across the country. Too far for me to go, but I'm with you in spirit, always! I am going to do this project some time tho and will think of you when I do. Enjoy punkin! 🦋🍃🐝🐣
Thanks to you I am planning to buy my first book ( a thrift store find ) to alter. Thank you so much. I hope it looks 1/2 as good as any of yours when I'm done! I need to find your (if you have one) " minimum must have" list. If anyone knows a link please post it in the replies, thanks.
ooooh...the challenge of a minimum list eh? modpodge, scissors, book, images, some paint...that is enough to get you started asha....so...go create, go play, go have fun!!!!
LorriMarie Jenkins There was an advertising video at the start of your video. Its the first one Ive seen on one of your videos.I assume it means youtube has monetised you.Or maybe its just the first one Ive seen.Im not sure..😄😕
you just have not noticed joanne.....you have been too excited to see the video to notice the annoying ads....and that is okay with me....lol! yep....i am monetized...phew! see you on the table...
The Tim holtz stencil you're using with texture paste, looks like cheesecloth weave? Is called "Dot Fade? I already have both circles, and spirals. Just ordered them w varnish, crackle, blue brush, MIA since the move! Lol
oh sweet one.....let me see if i can find THAT stencil for you! see if this link will work for you... www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/2KOK71LIFQURC/ref=cm_wl_huc_view i hope you are finding enough goodies to play with!!! see you on the table...
Love your tutorials! I haven't started making my "creation" yet and am wondering when to use gesso, glue or Mod Podge for adhering pages or collage elements.
all right mary....i am going to try to answer your questions... gesso is not an adhesive....it is more like a 'primer paint' modpodge i use for 'paper to paper' gluing tacky glue is for heavier gluing...cardstock, cardboard, etc E6000 is for metal goodies i hope that helps... go create, go play, go have fun!!!
I am learning a lot from you and I thank-you for that but one question, near the end there you went around the edge with something but I couldn't make out what it was. What was it you used around 35min?? Thank-you again.
Good morning my favorite artist on RUclips! I was thinking about buying those mini inkers. Do they last a long time? Also would you know of a diy recipe to refill regular ink pads? Thanks so much! 🙂
good morning lynn....the small inkers do seem to last for a while...and i do not have a recipe for you to re-ink....sorry....and thank you for the boost this morning....see you on the table lynn....
I appreciate your artistic approach and I have concerns of your direct contact with your various mediums. Several artists in my sphere got environmental illness including lead poisoning that almost resulted in death.
GREAT. I will try to learn more from you. Can you pls let me know the exact name from your "baby blue"? or send a link? amazon said to the link in the notes that they are sorry but the adress dont exist. Your gesso is in glasses for homemade food. Do you "cook" the gesso by yourself? and mod podge too? Are in one of your many tutorials receipes? I am now in holliday and have no stash ... but I want to do something :-) greetings from Gabriella at this time Gran Canaria
good morning gabriella! i do not make my own gesso or modpodge....i but them in bulk....and baby blue...here is the link... amzn.to/2YQKAlV . i hope that helps! go create, go play, go have fun gabriella!!!
@@lorrimarie2002 thank you a lot. they sent not to spain. may be an order will be possible when back in germany in 3weeks. so I will study in the meantime your famous tutorials :-)

Just a note. The Amazon link doesn’t seem to take me to a page where I can buy affiliate products. In the meantime, what brand of black gesso do you use? I use Liquitex white gesso and love it. Thanks for your videos. I’m a new sub.
marianna.....thank you for heads up about the links....i am on a borrowed computer and it not as friendly with the links as my computer (which died in mexico at my workshop...darn)...i am not married to any brand of black gesso so if you love the luquitex...i say...stay with it!!!! yay....oh....and welcome to 'our village'! see you on the table...
Oh baby! Love me some layers! Can I get that Tim holtz stencil on you Amazon link? I went to link posted for this video. Didn't see it. Don't know what it's called? I loved the March 31 day challenges, let's do that again!!! Yay! More Fun! Yes, please! €;~{} XO

Not playing along as working on prints for an exhibition next month but very much enjoying seeing what you're making. Fascinating seeing other artists at work :-)
dearest diane.....thank YOU for your support! i so appreciate your contribution to 'our village'....and yes... i can do bum art until my book gets too fat....and then...no more...lol! see you on the table...
Question please, LorrieMarie. I've just started my second book and I'm thinking of abandoning it! The pages seem almost too porous. I'm worried that the more I use it I'll regret it. Has this ever happened to you?
diane....how far into the book are you? i would love to see what you are talking about....are the pages fragile? sewn in signatures? healthy spine? would love to see the book!!!!
Signatures are sewn. The book was published in 1920 if I remember correctly. They are not fragile, more like very thirsty. Drying takes forever and still feels dampish, if that makes any sense. Huh. I'm talking myself out of proceeding any further, aren't I? Luckily I haven't got a lot of time in to it. Isn't it funny though, even while preparing it to begin, I wasn't feeling a connection with this book! Not at all like my first.
When i hear you sit on the book I imagine art being hatched!
dearest hudsonsailor....now that is great! hatching art....kind of true...right? lol...see you on the table...
Inspired by your creativity! Can’t stop watching with the suspense of your next artistic step! Thx LM for your inspiration and generosity!

keep us posted as to what you are doing my friend.....go create, go play, go have fun!!!!
I love, love, love this one!!!
I've been binge watching your videos and have started a book. Love this. I think I need some distress inks 🤔

thank you anneka.....it is always so good to hear from you! are you taking time to make your amazing art? go create, go play, go have fun!!!
@@lorrimarie2002 According to Wikipedia, here is a short description of ASMR:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine.
Lorriemarie if you put plastic/sandwich baggie on the container than put the lid on it. It’ll keep it moist.
Just found you. Loving this!

Stay well🤗
ooooooh donna...come over tomorrow and we will do it!!! wanna? it sounds like fun! go create, go play, go have fun donna!!

Wow girl..I got my first ad on a video of yours.Congratulations 👊👍
i am not sure what that means....one of your ads? what? more info please! but...yay us!

Lol

i hope you are finding enough goodies to play with!!! see you on the table...
Ooooh, yeah! So much texture....M,mmmm
delicious texture!!!!
xoxo see you on the table leanda!
Love your tutorials! I haven't started making my "creation" yet and am wondering when to use gesso, glue or Mod Podge for adhering pages or collage elements.
all right mary....i am going to try to answer your questions...
gesso is not an adhesive....it is more like a 'primer paint'
modpodge i use for 'paper to paper' gluing
tacky glue is for heavier gluing...cardstock, cardboard, etc
E6000 is for metal goodies
i hope that helps...
go create, go play, go have fun!!!
Thank you @@lorrimarie2002 . That explains it perfectly!
I am learning a lot from you and I thank-you for that but one question, near the end there you went around the edge with something but I couldn't make out what it was. What was it you used around 35min?? Thank-you again.
i will post a link to the stabilo 8046 as soon as the amazon page is back up....see you on the table....
Thank-you!!!
Several artists in my sphere got environmental illness including lead poisoning that almost resulted in death.
thank you for your thoughts caryn....i will be careful! ❤️
Is the Tim holtz stencil called "dot fade"?

The shadows are adding texture to the video....lol
we do love our textures...any sane person would wait for the sun to come up....but oh no....not this girl! lol....go play my friend...
Looks too beautiful to be backgrounds. 😍Would be a shame to cover any of it up or the other pocket pages!
michelle....i kind of have to agree....i am loving playing with the backgrounds....we shall see what happens next, right? are you playing along? see you on the table!
Not playing along as working on prints for an exhibition next month but very much enjoying seeing what you're making. Fascinating seeing other artists at work :-)
Bum art. Snort! Thank you for another page from your table.
dearest diane.....thank YOU for your support! i so appreciate your contribution to 'our village'....and yes... i can do bum art until my book gets too fat....and then...no more...lol! see you on the table...
Not at all like my first.
yep move on! try another book...the pages you have done already can be moved into your new book if needed diane.....sorry.....see you on the table...
I think and have thought the modpodge and steblilo companies should give you a cut if their profits!!!!!
i could not agree more carrie! lol....what can we do about this? lol....see you on the table carrie!
