My family moved to Tucson when I was in high school to escape the brutal winters of western New York state. Getting used to the heat of summer was a slight challenge but preferrable to the winters of NY. The nice thing about Tucson was Mt. Lemmon was only an hour away and at 9,000+ feet, it provided an escape from the 105 degree temperatures. We were only in Tucson a couple of years before my father took a job in California. But I really did fall in love with the Sonoran Desert. And you can't beat an Arizona sunset. You did right by trying to find higher elevation. Flagstaff is around 7,000. You'll find that area more comfortable in summer. Enjoy the journey.
Sydney just wanted to say your natural curl in your hair is beautiful 🤩 I enjoy 😊 your style of videos you are a natural in front of your camera you rank one of my favs 🫶
As an Aussie the landscape and flies hits home when camping. Mosquito repellent spray which is designed for body use works well at keeping them away, but need to apply ever couple hours. Also a cork hat keeps them off the face. They're mostly attracted to sweat which can be hard when it's hot.
Try a wooden spatula on that kind if cookware. Your videos are awesome. I spend a lot of time in SD WY and MT in those hot Temps. It's unreal how hot it can get. I have a home depot tarp and two suction cups at the grommets going to REI 8' poles. Game changer awning. Safe travels looking forward to more of your vids!
Highly recommend traveling to the black hills of South Dakota, the BigHorn Mountains of Wyoming and if you want to check out Bighorn Canyon Recreation area be sure to travel in to the Pryor Mountains and see the wild horses
For bugs….Avon skin so soft…. It’s actually skin moisturizer…… that after a few years, they figured out that it repels bugs…. So they have some that’s called bug repellent and they have some that’s just called moisturizer….. pretty much the same stuff though….. and I would assume because it’s a moisturizer it’s not full of bad chemicals….. it should be good for your skin too.👍😎…. but I do know it works good. Amazon has it.
Hiya😊 love yer vidz and content... you make a lot of appealing dishes... can you show us how to do all that step by step? Particularly the ramen with boiled eggs!!! Please and thank you...😊
I was in Az few weeks ago. FLAGSTAFF, GCanyon South Rim..chilly at night..about 7k feet.im in a van . Just driving round the nation on extended vacation..are you in a Volvo ? Something about you n what youre doing is fun..ty
I love the desert but i enjoyed watching someone not enjoy it. I get used to the environment that I'm in every day and it's fun to see a different perspective.
You have to go to the forest when it gets hot. Plus you don't want go to far from the paved road, it makes it harder to get help from AAA or other people. AAA towing 100 miles of towing, hotel discounts, battery replacement, emergency fuel up to five gallons, and road side assistance for a year of coverage is $100 for the premier towing up 200 miles of towing and the other roadside help is $130 per year. The AAA towing only helps people on right by a paved road.
Hi , nice. My recommendation change your car Volvo to other car like Toyota brand or Honda brand because that’s brand simple and easy to fix and so reliable , and you can drive any kind of road
you are still young and full of energy. when you get the opportunity you should try ultimate adventure of lifetime and hike the pacific crest trail or continental trail.
The desert is a lovely comfortable place but its all about timing and location.. She s there in April she should be there in February then its perfect. April you want to be in the mojave around 5000 feet amazing comfort.. Jume ? the northern deserts central NV July Aug forget it
those orange shorts are outstanding!!
Love the confidence boost that the hill gave you!

I just started watching your videos and learning some things for my future road trips.

Road trips look so fun…. I’m still building my van. Haven’t caught it on a road trip yet….. it’s fun to watch you😊👍

🤣"A Damn fly woke me up, imagine that." That was fantastic
Even paradise has bugs. We're grossly outnumbered.
Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming
The desert is not for the faint hearted. Lived her all my life and love it .
Cool you’re going to Seattle👍😎 i’m in Olympia one hour south….. it’s a lot colder there than in Arizona.😁 I don’t think we have one single desert here
Highly recommend traveling to the black hills of South Dakota, the BigHorn Mountains of Wyoming and if you want to check out Bighorn Canyon Recreation area be sure to travel in to the Pryor Mountains and see the wild horses
Haha i Saw that Glock homie 👀😉
Hey Sydnie, I’m loving the places you find! I have a 4x2 truck & camper and was wondering if I could make it out to those spots?
Enjoying the content
You definitely need a small solar powered generator in a small portable refrigerator

5:18 lol. An accurate representation of how camping actually goes, when there are no cameras. And yes, the heat sucks.
Found you randomly love the channel

Well, I have found someone else to vicariously travel and camp with. The fact that you are so stinkin' gorgeous is a bonus.
Calm down Epstein I'm sure she appreciates the support.
Tip: Spray the bug spray on your hands, and then rub it on your limbs. You’ll use a lot less bug spray, and do a lot better job of coverage.
Your gorgeous Sydnie🤩🤩
If your in Phoenix in the summer it’s obvious it’s hot I live in Yuma and I love it

Do your straps for roof box make a buzzing sound at highway speeds?
No they don’t! One of them was even loose today (could see the shadow while driving) and couldn’t tell
@@sydniestateofmind Gotcha. If they ever do put a twist in the strap before tightening them all the way.. Thumbnail for this vid is🔥. Safe travels!
You got my like props lol
If you think it’s hot in Phoenix in May come out in July or August.
Lifehack: put "Solo Female" in your titles and the algorithm will boost your visibility.
It may feel a bit weird, but carpe diem.
