Do we need to use any specific tool to analyze the data such as Pearson, T -test, etc? Or can we just analyze the data directly from the question based on our judgement?

The type of statistical test you should conduct depends on a number of factors: * The type of data you are dealing with (numerical - ordinal, interval, ratio - or categorical) * Whether or not the data are parametric * How many variables there are * Whether you are measuring differences or exploring relationships There is a really useful textbook you might want to read: Andrew Mayers 2013 book "Introduction to Statistics and SPSS in Psychology" has some helpful information in Chapter 5 about choosing the appropriate test for your data.
