    I've got yelled by my wife for scratching the wall paint but it was all worth it! In one move I am fixing hip rotation, dropping of the club and not coming over the top, spine posture, and confidence. Thanks Clay!

    Beautiful drill. Shallowing the club, Square the face, hip turn and finish. All in one.

      @@TopSpeedGolf Hi Clay. Just some more info. My instructor pointed out that I wasn't really setting with my lead wrist. I starting to work on my swing today purposely trying to set the lead wrist to be more bowed (like DJ has at the top of his swing). I have found that after putting in the change, I'm able to more easily find my impact position on the downswing. (7i 184yrds several times. Starting to convince me that we should not forget the importance of the lead wrist and what we do with it!)

    Great video, which club do you normally use in your practice, or does it matter? (Is it the same swing for every club or does it change from wedge through driver? ) ⛳🏌️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️ Thanks

  • @TheSaiyanLegend
    @TheSaiyanLegend 3 года назад +1

    Clay, is it possible to be opening up and turning too much left? I watch a lot of your videos and my main focus is to always open those hips and turn left but it’s getting to the point where I almost do a complete 180 and always lose my balance through the follow through. Should I ease up on that a bit?

    • @TopSpeedGolf
      @TopSpeedGolf  3 года назад

      You can't really turn too much as long as everything is in sync. It's when your lower body gets too much ahead of your upper that gets people in trouble (getting stuck).

    Aha. I am pretty sure I have decent consistency shallowing the club. This will help me to not stand up, and the tip about squaring the club face will help me with my persistent slice. Thanks

    The left booty cheek bangin into the wall is an awesome way to describe clearing the hip....One thing though Clay, you've been movin all that iron around gettin all super swoll, you've clearly been sacrificing the cardio part of your workouts bro....You sound like you're the creepy caller in those horror movies scaring the shit outta chicks who are about to get the axe/chainsaw/kitchen knife etc....Great stuff as usual bud. 🍻⛳😂🏌💪

    Sometimes trying to fix this or fix that can set off a chain of evens that really get you away from the basics. Trying to manipulate everything for so long realized I’ve messed up my posture. To me that’s one of the basics. Been inconsistent to say the least.

    I've noticed club length playing big factors in people early extension and to fast of clearing hips, loads of people are in the wrong length, then if the flex is bad, you now have even more length due to shaft drooping. So people are straighten up and or clearing the hips to fast to get through impact without fattening their shots.
    Make sure to get a dynamic length fitting. ... why?
    5i at 38in , fat, early extension weak shots , causing bad mechanics.
    Vs
    5i at 36.75 and its flushed on the screws. But make sure to adjust your lie and loft angles for dialed in effect.

    Here's an idea : why not use a HALF wall ! Tha way club doesn't touch anything on the backswing ( I think the club's not supposed to be that 'inside' anyway) or on the follow-through. I've seen this drill with a folding chair, but I like the firmness of the wall. Thanks Clay!
