Great review brother and as usual, you nailed it spot on the head.. I believe that the blend of the Personal Reserve differs slightly from the core Don Carlos line in terms of some of the tobaccos used and perhaps a longer aging process. The initial blend expression was Carlos senior's "personal" preference of what he liked to smoke and he would tinker with it from time to time, so the story goes. I adore this cigar as well as the regular core Don Carlos line and have found myself coming back to these cigars, time after time, year after year. A staple in my humidor and so special to me on a personal level. Thank you for putting this video out. All the best to you.
Glad you enjoyed it at least. I mean I know once you have a vitola that you love it’s hard to look past it but at least you gave it a fair shot. Great Video and Review! Cheers Brother!!
Hey brother Master Michael! Thanks for sharing! Sounds nice and solid, although Eye of the Shark sounds a little better at a better price! Take care my friend!
Love that cigar. Got a great deal, bought a box, then backed it up! Great with a bourbon as you recommend too. Another thing I love about Fuente is that one can price down to a Hemingway without a huge drop off in quality and flavor. The aging and slight blend tweak is apparent in the Personal Reserve though. Great review, Michael!
That price is crazy! I picked some up at $18 each recently. I would also so they Personal Reserve is significantly better with at least 1 year of age. Nice to see a review on this, been waiting for someone is New Wave to review it.
Great review! I love AF, the Cameroon wrapped Casa Fuente is a solid smoke …BUT the Don Carlos line has been subtly underwhelming for me. I’d be willing to give this one a shot if the opportunity arises.
Eye of the Shark isn’t exactly cheap either you’re looking at 25-30 per stick most places and more in others. Personally love the Eye of Shark the Bull is a total rip off but my fave actually is the Don Carlos Annivesario in double Robusto. If you haven’t had that one I’d highly recommend it over a personal reserve. It’s a little higher price point but it’s phenomenal.
@@MasterYourAsh a double Robusto Don Carlos yeah but a double Robusto Don Carlos Annivesario there’s no way that was $13. I live in NY and no way I’m getting anywhere near the $20 you’re seeing. I seek them out and never see them at $20. You’re lucky!!
Yeah, definitely a Don Carlos standard and not the Anniversary. The Eye of the Shark is just a right place right time thing lol. Prices in NY for cigars are crazy.
I'll have to check that out, love the Don Carlos

Thank you Sal, thorough and well said as always my friend!
Great review brodie! Love this cigar! Definitely grabbing a box 🫡
Thanks brother man, enjoy those! 😎
Fantastic cigar. I prefer Nicaragua tobacco but the don carlos I could smoke every day
Agreed 👍🏻
I smoked one yesterday and was pretty great. Paid 25.50 at B&M.
Solid price point right there my friend 🙏🏻

Thanks brother man! Agreed 💯
Just had one a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed it but ultimately prefer the core line. Great review

For sure bro, they age so well, even the Hemingways if you have the time to save a little bit in the wallet, never steers ya wrong.
Speaking on Hemingway. Pair it with amarula. The African liqueur. The bottle with the elephant on the front.
Hands down life changing pairing.
I have a video with that one, love it. They have a few new flavors as well

Definitely good points on the additional rest time, Fuente cigars almost always age extremely well!

Appreciate the comment and support always!
Can't go wrong with a Don Carlos
Agreed 💯
I love this cigar. I cant always find it. Sad as it is a winner.

I've seen Eye of the Sharks right at 20 before at a local shop and I believe I grabbed a double robusto for 13 last time I checked.
