One scenario where I could see WWE do it: Netflix asks for a new show, and WWE sees the TNA branding as one of multiple options. My dream is for Netflix to buy the rights to lucha underground and ask WWE to make a soft reboot 😭
I imagine it would just turn into another NXT. NXT is pretty great again, but I loved Lucha Underground because of the ridiculous story lines and overall unhinged batshit craziness. It's something WWE frequently can't do. Off the top of my head Eric Rowans mechanical spider comes to mind.
Steve continuing the Thanos joke after all these videos is like a heel insulting the town they are in, it's a simple and cheap way of generating heat but damn if it isn't super effective!
big thing for TNA is the library. thats a giant chunk of content for the network/streaming partnerships. AJ, Cody, the guns, ethan page, etc have tons of matches and highlights there for current stuff as well. Market leader expanding is usually never good for the industry on the whole tho.
Hypothetically, WWE could obviously buy TNA given how much capital TKO Group Holdings has access to and how (relatively) little TNA is actually worth. The problem is that Anthem has outright expressed in the recent past that they have no interest in selling TNA. The only scenario where Anthem sells TNA is if WWE ridiculously overpays for it, but at that point it simply wouldn't be worth buying. It's very hard/expensive to buy something off of somebody who isn't interested in selling
The first blow to AEW is going to be WWE's growing relationship with Cyberfight. NOAH had been gaining some steam domestically, and HBK has already sent guys over. And if WWE wanna cultivate that relationship more, it could end AEW's relationship with DDT.
No one gives a shit about any of those companies. You say "gaining steam" but they're still barely on the level of Collision, which no one cares about either.
Oh, and HBK has sent guys over who would have stagnated due to not being used. It's to make WWE better, they don't give a damn about some dude and his boat.
I’d rather them do a full on “Forbidden Door” esque PLE on Netflix in 2025 with WWE/NXT vs TNA then see WWE outright buy them. Buying them just seems like something Vince would have done and the optics of that I could see TKO kinda backing away from.
Depends on Anthem on selling TNA or not. They own it now not Dixie Carter. I do feel the company will be a farm for talent going forward for WWE. Like OVW was for a time. I do like the partnership they have right now. It's perfect, but wish they'd put over more the TNA talent that show up on NXT. Looking at how they used Rosemary or Hammerstone. Two talents I feel shouldn't lose. Got to protect some of the talent for the future. If some get signed by WWE to work in NXT.
The valuation difference right now is basically 7 billion to 2 billion. The gulf is 350%. Now, does that sound crazy? No? Make 30k a year and see how much LESS financial stress you have with 100k. That's basically the difference. And even in that context, it's barely comparable. If WWE lost 50 million a year for 20 years, they'd still be worth more than AEW, just off interest earnings 🤷 Not sure why anyone acts like ANYONE would be viewed as remotely competitive. Hell, give ANYONE a billion dollars. And I mean ANYONE and get them to make a genuine WWE competitor. It won't happen. It just won't. WWE has decades of baked in fans. Decades of history. And shit like the WM 41 main event could never happen anywhere else. Guys like Taker (not Trump's bitch, but Deadman), Batista, Austin, Rock. These are names that matter to not just wrestling fans. And honestly, no competitor will ever sway really big names like those. MJF is the closest in AEW, MAYBE Jericho when we're not talking about him being creepy af. And they will NEVER be on the level of any of those names. Punk could be as popular as today and his Summer of Punk COMBINED and he's still well shy of those names (more than MJF or Jericho, obviously) but WWE has those names in a hat and can use them to sell stories and moments. And today, right now, that's all wrestling fans want.
I don’t really have any thoughts on this, since I have a terrible sense for business and whatnot. Nevertheless, I’ll leave this comment for the almighty algorithm
why do people talk like aew's booking is like the worst thing ever? its never been that bad to me i think people just put the magnifying glass on it. wwe gets so much benefit of the doubt for their bad booking, sometimes even worse than aew. i think there's a less than 0.0001% chance tony sells aew though
@@WrestleJuice couldn't have anything to do with three straight PPVs they scrapped 90% of due to MASSIVE injuries, hey? Punk and Drew got by on chemistry and improved mic skill from Drew. Liv vs Rhea went to hell, and is only getting worse. Priest, Finn, Bloodline vs 2.0, Kross and Final Testament, anything with Jordynne Grace or Joe Hendry, both Giulia and Stephanie, developing the next generation has stagnated (Carmelo is pointless filler with Andrade, Jade is meandering, Bianca has ZERO momentum), the New Day look like jokes, Wyatt Family peaked and was swept off TV, and LA Knight might as well take AJ Styles, Nakamura, and the Good Bros. and try something in Japan. At this point, it's all kind of just there. Maybe it's the Saudi show, but Cody has little momentum (definitely not as the top champion) and Gunther looks like a caricature of the person he was this time last year. Anymore like a Nazi war criminal character from the Vince Era, and he'd be goose stepping to the ring. Not to say he acts like a Nazi, but even WWE wouldn't go that far. These days anyways.
@@nolankuffner3573 thank you for speaking the truth. It's been this way since AEW started. AEW gets massive hate for every bad booking decision, while the bad booking in WWE gets ignored most of the time.
If Tony khan hired a good creative booker and a good scouts to recruit wrestlers who have charisma on the mic or starpower then the future of the company be in good faith.
Not necessarily saying this is a good idea, but it could take the brand splits to another level. TNA be the developmental for Raw, and NXT be the developmental for SD
Steve is smart. He's starting to leave cliffhangers for the next video!

Given inflation, 2 billion won't be worth a lot in five years.

Aews partnership with ddt at this point is just Takeshita wrestling at the big shows their biggest partners are new Japan stardom and cmll
Oh i see why that ask wrestlejuice video was the way it was now
Young man Steve running wild!!!

I'll be shocked if we don't eventually AT LEAST get some kind of War Games / traditional Survivor Series match with NXT vs TNA.
no, no, no TKO Holdings or Endeavor should buy TNA not WWE themselves
I like this 👀
I appreciate the long term storytelling with the Thanos
NXT/NA
I keep saying WWE should buy TNA, combine it with NXT & reform WCW 🔥
THAYnose, I love the mispronunciation it’s made me laugh ever since middle school

Everything is cooler (everything is cooler) everything is cooler in a fisheye lense! (In a fisheye lense)
Lol... I love your sting-face emoj___steve 🇱🇷
If WWE buys TNA, TNA will cease to exist. They'd pick two or three talents they want and the rest would get released
Neither. It’s more likely tony would buy TNA bc he’s a fanboy and might think its cool to buy for the collection.

It’s not that it’s egregiously bad, it’s just not been good enough to get the kind of buzz you’d want to grow the audience. IMO

I would say WWE does better storyline, and AEW have higher match quality. So AEW is competitive on one level
