Damn, I remember when this game new and played the heck out of it with friends. It seemed so new and popular like nothing could top this. Wow, time flies really fast.
I know that Ultimate is a better game and has so much more to offer, but this will always be my favorite Smash. The level of excitement my brother and I held for this while waiting for it to be released was indescribable. The memories I made playing this game with him during our childhood will never be surpassed, no matter how many amazing characters they put into future installments. Brawl will always be the best.

I think one of my favorite pieces of trivia in this game is the fact that the character select screen is actually very well organized. First row is Super Mario. Second row is Mario sub-series. Third row is Zelda. Fourth row is NES characters that debuted in 1986 (Also the fact that Metroid and Kid Icarus were made in the same graphic engine). Fifth row is aliens that have connections with food. Sixth row is SNES character that took advantage of certain graphical chips. Seventh row is Pokemon. Eighth row is RPG franchises that took some time to get outside of japan. And finally, ninth row is just "others", since they wouldn´t fit anywhere else.
