By promoting on incompetence, we've arrived where we see power as the solution to all our problems foreign and domestic. We're committed to going to war with Russia and committed to ruining our economy at the same time. Well said Neil. I lived in Scotland for 5 years (2014-2019). It's such a wonderful place but there were just so many failures (ferries needing bailing out, children's hospital not being built, Glasgow city council increasing council tax to the top bands and still failing, corruption in Glasgow CC, etc etc) yet the focus was purely on independence despite these. The SNP could have gone to their voters and said "look, we want to make Scotland an economic powerhouse, give us X years to prove it to WM, the EU and the world and then we'll have another referendum" but nope they took their eyes off the day job for hope and glory, riling up emotions and division amongst the population.

Considering how few Muslims there are in Scotland what are the odds that the leader of the SDP & the leader of Scottish Labour are Pakistani Muslims? Yousaf is listed as a director of the now defunct Scottish Islamic Foundation. The organisation was essentially an islamist organisation. Its founder Osama Saeed has called for the establishment of a new caliphate which would unite muslims around the world. Saeed is a former aid to Alex Salmond and a former SNP candicate. He is also Yousaf's cousin. It seems fairly likely to me that the overrepresentation of Musims at a high level in Scottish politics is, as is often the case, a result of familial loyalty and Islamist entryism. Of course this is not a discussion a civic nationalist channel like GB news is likely to have but it is nonetheless a part of modern Britain's political landscape. Mock Yousaf all you want but underestimating the ability of Islamists to use the political system for their own ends would be foolish

Sorry laddie he is not a true Scot just joining with a few deluded brainwashed English people trying to criticise a government that Scottish people democratically voted for ,if he wants to help his England friends he should try and sort out the parcel of rogues in Westminster who have squandered billions through corruption and mismanagement and the thick stupid English have the arrogance and hypocrisy to criticise the Scottish government

I LOVE Neil Oliver. And nearly everything he says here is correct. The SNP are a single issue protest party, and do not care about their people. But look at their competition south of the border. Here too in London, we have a parliament stuffed with politicians who care little for the people, or what may be achieved to make the people’s lives better. A bunch of self absorbed venal single issue politicians too, only here the obsession is the monarchist fantasy, renewable, fantasy monarchist cult. And if the SNP had been more independently minded, they could have spent their time developing an enormous energy exporting economy. Built on coal, FLOATING on oil, and the only place in the UK where wind power could possibly work. In that respect, the Orkneys alone could supply Northern Europe with cheap energy. And out of those TRILLIONS the SNP could have pocketed vast sums, like the Westminster model, and not the small time hustlers £600k. Now Labour will return to power in Scotland, the green cult will be re-enforced, and Scotland, like the rest of the UK will remain in poverty, still hostage to politicians and kings fantasies, still hostage to ineptitude and inability, still at the mercy of a conceited British state only wanting more unrestricted power and taxes. Scotland COULD have done it, if it had the imagination an independent government promised. Not some cheap hustlers ripping off PENNIES.

Sturgeons resignation is beginning to make sense now. It’s a fairly good guess she was seeing how close the police investigation was getting, they would been interviewing snp staff and making requests for information. She had no choice but probably thought she could avoid much of this by disappearing before it happened.

He's a 'Muslim-Christian' Scottish lawyer who loves men wearing dresses and turns a blind eye to embezzlement. Humza Yusuf actually represents the political and economic atmosphere in Scotland perfectly, and his incompetence, corruption and closet homosexuality are why so many 'business leaders' and 'responsible adults' support him and the SNP so much. Boomers everywhere in the West spent half a century actively building this, voting for it at every stage, and it's strange now why so many of them are so disgusted by it.
