The give and take of Shaan and Sam is honestly delightful. You can tell they genuinely like hanging out, nerding out on this stuff, and trying to impress each other with their findings. As "an ambitious man with strong wifi", (LOL) this podcast really gives me a boost while I do my job in Tech!
That's fantastic did Oleg go au natural ? Or just kept changing the blood. ? Stem cells? I'm so glad what's he doing now? Peace out 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🍀
To be fair, these guys drop so much value multiple times a week and do it in such a feel good way, i don't mind their ads. More than fair trade. And at least it is not an Athletic Greens ad...
A few things weren't correct on the pod - 1. Telegram does ads on channels right now, 2. Pavel received some of the money for VK, but less than the market value
👏 Fascinating insights! It's refreshing to see a list celebrating entrepreneurs for their intriguing journeys and bold decisions rather than just their financial success. Pavel Durov's story is a testament to the power of standing firm in one's principles, even in the face of immense pressure. 💪
Side note: if you had business in 90s Russia, there was some rubbing with mobsters. Three options: either you paid them to leave you alone, helped with their "business ventures" or were friends with the right people, so they didn't mess with you. 90s milionares from this neck of the woods are always a bit sus, because of this imo.
I've been a fan of the show for years now and this one has changed my opinion a bit. Being Russian myself and following Pavel and Oleg, I can say that you need to fact-check better. Some details you mentioned about them are obsolete or untrue. So I would advise taking what you say with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, thanks for the podcast, it is still one of my favourites.
On the subject of the 'Facebook of Brazil', 'Facebook of India', etc argument, Orkut was a lot more popular than Facebook in some developing countries. Google ultimately shut it down and pushed Google+ on them, which failed spectacularly.
vivi nevo inherited around 10 million usd in the 80s... he invested a lot in the stockmarket since the 80s. considering the hitech bubble in the 90s and the initial inheritance which was 10 million and not 3 million as you stated, makes much more sense, especially considering he got that money in the 80s. even making 10% annually, merely 2% over the market avarage, would turn 10 million to half a billion in about 40 years....
I’m so grateful to live in America. We aren’t perfect but there is not a better place to open a business and thrive. These Russian guys are impressive!
It is so unethical of you (not surprised) for not citing/mentioning Tucker Carlson's interview with Pavel Durov, from where you get the most of your information.
#1 doesn’t count if he started with $3million from his parents. I like billionaires that started with nothing. Side note: Tom from MySpace is my type of guy.

Oleg tinkov recovered from leukemia
That's fantastic did Oleg go au natural ? Or just kept changing the blood. ? Stem cells? I'm so glad what's he doing now?
Peace out 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🍀
I’m just glad Sam’s Hampton ad isn’t running anymore
They changed it with blowing their friends and name dropping investments less intrusively.

You guys see ads I see copywork

You are on a podcast about business and you are glad he ain't selling??
This Pavel bro is now my new hero! LFG! Ripped and no F given!

Tinkoff had leukemia but he had successful treatment and not dying right now
@@sukhinin Any talk about him having been hit with radiation poisoning like other people who spoke out against Putin?

Million Dollar Baby should be the theme song to the pod.
Banger episode!

This should be a series
I agree. I bet there’s a ton more interesting folks to discover like these. I only knew of two of these guys.
This is a great podcast, I think everyone mentioned here are very interesting people.
Vivi Nevo looks like Jack Dorsey!
My God THIS POD IS LIFE CHANGING!
Your life will only get worse if you follow these two clowns.
I am so excited for the female version of this list, huge fan of you guys
Another interesting thing about Vivi Nevo is that he appeared in a Kendrick Lamar music video with jack dorsey.
Wait is everyone getting ads on MFM vids now?
Have they monetised the channel now. Interesting!
Durov is the most under rated entrepreneur!
Great “Thrill of the Shill” by Shaan 😉
Amazing start, The russian guy is inspiring.

I’ll be on this list
Correction: Telegram makes money by allowing advertisers to run ads on the platform.
Opportunity zones with the government sounds more like hub zones, which has been around for some time.
I love these kind of shows, thanks guys
Telgram 100% runs ads
On the subject of the 'Facebook of Brazil', 'Facebook of India', etc argument, Orkut was a lot more popular than Facebook in some developing countries. Google ultimately shut it down and pushed Google+ on them, which failed spectacularly.
what's up with all the ads?
The funny thing is that telegram now has a cryptocurrency making them billions A YEAR
"hairier and rounder" 😂

The insights on eccentric businessmen were absolutely fascinating..
Another banger. I dunno how you do it but you do it
the 1st place guy is for sure the most interesting
I'm on #5 and can't see how we top him!
I can say you more. Oleg Tinkov sold his ravioli business to Roman Abramovich
Want a awesome pod to listen to. It kept me engaged for the entire hour.
Has anyone more info on Aviv Nevo?
Anyone?

"The most interesting billionaires you've never heard of" ... you think we've never heard of Tom from Myspace? lol
20 year olds now wouldn’t know though. Since they would have been born in 2004.
thank you Shaan
Awesome episode
I loved today's pod
I’m so grateful to live in America. We aren’t perfect but there is not a better place to open a business and thrive. These Russian guys are impressive!
Shaan, what’s up with that hoodie, need one
lollllllll the bike photo
Nevo's looks remind me of golfer Jesper Parnevik.
Killer hoodie
Does he drink some obscure liquor? Does he smoke cigars? C'mon boys!
Sam and Shaan are the most interring millionaires I have heard of
love it❤❤❤
Time Warner doesn't exist anymore. It's Warner Bros. Discovery
Oleg looks a lot like the trololo guy
I'm curious on the last guy please let me know who he is
Oleg Tinkov, not Tinlov
It is so unethical of you (not surprised) for not citing/mentioning Tucker Carlson's interview with Pavel Durov, from where you get the most of your information.
Last guy is totally mosaad and epstien besty probably
Fortunately, Tinkov has been cancer, so he is good for now. Great entrepreneur!
It's his positive attitude and the fight in him. Excellent man.🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🍀
Shaan clearly watches bald and bankrupt. Babushka !
First
I will be a multi million dollar soon!
Anyone has noticed other podcasts copy MFM content on new business you did know exist
He doesnt look like Sting. He looks like Flea
So tldr Myspace Tom is the Big Lebowski
So it's like everything about Russia
10:34 😅 so if I'm watching this just to pull me out of my own life and getting nothing out of it monetary I'm not who you're talking to

Bohemian Grove ? Bilderberg Group, Council for International Relations. Etc
One has to have connections.
1:40 Shaan calling Africa a country 😆 😂
Sam’s about to get a lot of groypers messaging him
DVDASA all day.
Or he looks like Antonio Banderas. Maybe Mel Gibson
Hey let's ditch what Vivi does for a living and give me his course on how to be charismatic
Дуров, верни стену! ✊
Opportunity Zones started in the Nixon Administration under another name.
Tell Sam to come get a puppy 🐶 from me!
4:57 you said what are your principles with 300 million on the line and you already know you have to flee lol who are you
* orders ravioli from russia*
Maybe he's the new Epstein or Lana Del Ray.
❤❤❤
But Tom Anderson is not a billionaire…
@shaan. ofcourse you can ride a bike slow enough. ask europeans. Americans can only sit on a bike.

Adding ads to the pod is not cool..
My guy, you're getting a free pod with tons of value.
Are we not entrepreneurs watching this? Surely you understand monetisation. C’mon, dude!
Get yourself in the bin.
RUclips premium ftw
Not understanding how internet works is not cool

Africa isn’t a country 🤦🏾♂️
Why is Pavel Durov still alive? Russia must not be quite that bad
because he doesn't live in Russia anymore
