That Sylvester story is so good. Dude created magic out of necessity.
"Most of us has two lives. The one we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands the resistance."
The Seinfeld story to the fledgling comedian is an all time classic moment for me
Wonder where he is now
@@briankk123 he made it. His name’s orny adams
@@somericesomechicken lfgggg
Sam and Shaan being unaware of StackOverflow and saying it's a message board for coders is so funny.
It is so good to see Sam and Shaan together again! The Johnny Quest and Hadji of Entrepreneurship!!!!! I love these guys!
It’s going to take longer than 40 minutes for me.
Ha! Same!
Thank you, Sam & Shaan ❤️😇🙏
Such an important episode. Thanks for this :)
great pod! This was inspiring!
One of my all time favorites. Glad you guys didn’t get paid to stop making content ❤
20 minutes in and already a banger! Good job!
Marching through the snow and chasing your passion is key. Great episode guys! Loved it!
Shaan is back!
Saw the title of this title went to get the philosophical tissue and Nivea I need to relax for this one
Great one! You are great story tellers Guys! Great talkers! Great Performers! Its a great pleasure to listen your pod☺
Really enjoyed this one. Great storytelling 💯
Hey Shaan I was a few days away from ending my startup but thanks I think u helped me realised what was important to me
Genius episode guys… the first portion deserves a webby for business!! Thank you as always. Love from East Bmore. Trucker Sim!
One of your best podcasts yet! Awesome 👏
The Lunchables bit may have been the best clip of any episode.
the inspiring episode!
I watched this all the way through, then doubled down with the immediate second play. Its great to have these dialled in inspirational leaning episodes every once in a while
Meanwhile Im struggling to get through the first 10 minutes 😂
@@bcceo6913 hahah oh no! Well lucky these fellas have a beasty upload cadence. Wishing you more luck with the next one.
@@bunburyist_online thanks! You seem chill. All the best!
Best episode I've seen in a while. Relatable period.
i love these guys
also watched the Lehman brothers play. super awesome!!
First off, I love the channel and the content. I appreciate you both taking the time. BUT…I’m not too sure about the new mic flags. The shallow DOF makes it look odd. Maybe relocate to the stand its self. 😉
If anyone else has noticed, this particular episode has some solid gold info.
Single chart value prop - love it!
How is every freaking episode an all time banger
Excellent book, quick read.
Also played this episode like 5 times a day for the past few days
This episode was one of those perfect subject perfect time moments. The Jerry Seinfeld bit is so inspiring.
That Stallone story is amazing!
Shaan, check out the writing routine British writer Anthony Trollope used to write over 40 novels while he worked fulltime as a postal inspector. He would write from 5 am to 8 am every day, and set a goal of 250 words (1 page) every 15 minutes. With a stopwatch!! His baseline was 10 pages a day, no matter what. Then it was off to work for the post office. It took him 10 years to earn enough $$ to pay for all the ink/paper/pens he used!! His autobiography lays it all out.
Where’s the link for the copywriting plug you had? Where you aggregated everything
Ending on a rambling wondering podcast.... was that a 2nd plug for wonder?
Looking good Shaan
Weird that Sam has to explain who Trello and Stackoverflow are. This has made me question who the heck your audience actually is. Also, Shaan needs to watch Tulsa King with Stallone
not devs
That's a great clip of Jerry Seinfeld, where can I find it?
funny i went down a rabbit hole the guy he was talking to actually went on to do fine hi name is Orny Adams I don't know if he became so big but he did okay
The war of art is an outstanding book. Stands so true.
Shann Should have dropped an amzon referral link this guys leaving money on the tabble
Why is the HubSpot logo in the bottom-right corner?
"...like, it's pretty insane that you have to have all these cows to get ground beef. "
Is it, though?
Best way to f**k your life is listening to others telling you about you 😂
F!
Mmm I can imagine where you're coming from but I think that's too simplistic. What about doctors, psychologists, your partners (in various contexts)? There's a ton of value in listening to perspectives about yourself from others that see you from a vantage point that isn't inside your own head. Where it goes wrong is having low standards for who you listen to and not having a way to optimise the signal to noise ratio.
came for the 40mins, stayed for the extra 6
Funny things happen 😅
I have an uncle that also lives in the hamptons, but i dont know him. 🙈
maybe one day i will get the chance to see him, must be a very smart and nice dude.
guys help understand the moral of the story of the guys walking in the snow. I didn't get the analogy
32:29 I went to class w/ an early employee at Fog Creek. I often wondered if they hired him solely because he looked like the poster child for Aspergers lol. He would constantly talk about them in a Mormon conversion sorta way. The prof let him do a presentation in class.
The war of art is epic.
I thought Rocky talked that way because of language in New York and New Jersey’ and where he came from.🌎🙂❤️ thanks
Shaan needs to make the Stalone story into a musical as his new Misogi! Clearly he wants to do that, you don’t need permission buddy, just do it!
lenny willams dislikes your pod xD
Shaan is on Joe Rogan mode
Time to get Sylvester Stallone on MFM!
Life totally unscrewed now🙏🏽👏🏼👏🏼😁!!! great pod episode fellas!!
Shaan has 9 lifes…Shaan Purrrri
Brett Adcock's primary customers post-vettery have been investors. This kind of behavior reminds me of folks like Adam Neuman.
That's why big ideas are easier.
For 95% of entrepreneurs who aren't pitching VCs or Robinhood traders, those fears of failure are natural and should not be ignored.
Unpopular opinion: Shaan carries the show on his back.
He does. It’s his story telling
He brings more enthusiasm and a more palpable energy to the show.
My dads name was Lenny Willam’s 😞
❤
😊 Sylvester
We all want what we don’t have
At some point they discussed a company that did some type of manual labour, like plumbing, and they had built their brand around the color pink.
They talked about how these vans stood out and were memorable because it was a feminine color but used in a "masculine" industry.
Could someone tip me to the name of the company, or the episode where they discussed this? Important for research I am doing around a new venture.
Thank you

Pink’s Window Services minute 22:00
Or were you talking about “Trash Daddy” the spin off of Pink’s they “created” in an episode?
For Nick Huber?
🚀🚀🚀
❤️😇🙏
Shaan working out? Lost weight!
Im here for the more clickbait-esque titles fellas
You might not know him? Bro, he’s 10x the celebrity yall have ever been.
Bro. Trello. Fog bugz. So much more. 😅
Stack overflow is one of the biggest technological marvels and communities on the internet.
Glitch.
His documentary is next level.
We literally just heard all about the Archer guy in the last episode, one of the top 3 boring pods of all time. Jesus Christ, no need to talk 10 minutes about it in this episode.
Aww. You didn't get your FREE dopamine hit from this pod today? 😢
I disagree, archer is awesome, I wanna hear about it more
1st... I'm back
Take 5 minutes to watch a YT video focused on all the wealthy people coming and going from the Monoco hotel and Casino. It's full of Rolls, Lambos and Ferraris. But do you want to know who I think is the wealthiest guy you'll see. It's the guy driving a 1960's Mercedes or Rolls convertible in mint condition. He likely has a garage full of Ferraris, Lambos, and Porsches to the point of boredom so when he wants to cruise over to the casino he does so in a beautiful classic.
You guys would sell your audience for a bigger networth? 🥲😂
