Hell No. In fact I would have told her Manager what she said. Teach her a lesson she would never forget.

There is a REASON for every stereotype. Black people have EARNED a reputation for not tipping. Even black people who work for tips will tell you the same thing. This woman just reinforced that stereotype. Frankly, I don't blame the waitress at all. When you depend on tips to make a living, you don't want to wait on people who, experience has shown you, probably won't tip. If this woman wants to change that stereotype, she picked a damned bad way to do it.

When you speak in absolutes you write your own fate. When you generalize you get exactly what you expect and that’s why you will remain crabby. 😊

@@shayalmasy101 People who deal with the public cannot possibly know everyone they come into contact with. They MUST generalize. Sure, it’d be nice to be able to read people’s minds and know for a fact what that person will do. But you might have noticed that in the real world where we all live, mind reading isn’t possible. So people are stuck with what’s actually available. When you grow up and become an adult, you’ll realize that we don’t live in Utopia.

@@CCoburn3 what you perceive will be your reality until you change your perception. The all black people, the all white people stereotypes are how people get caught in cycles perpetuating a divide between human beings. Take everyone individually cuz only you can change your outlook. Idk if you still do that job but I encourage you to get rid of the generalized notions that all groups of people are the same in x and y situations. If you look for it that’s all you will see.
