Though an uncomfortable night of sleep, it's always a way to create great times and memories when you can take a quick overnight getaway with someone special. Looks like you had a wonderful little roadtrip. I've struggled to find the perfect sleep system for when I want to camp out of my Highlander. Sleeping in my SUV is just OK, but I realized it takes just as much time to disassemble within the vehicle as it does to use a tent. Finally, I purchased a Gazelle T3X Hub. It just kind of pops out on the sides and then you push up the top. Its been brilliant. I bring a cot and candle lanterns and whatever cook system I like that I usually cannot take backpacking because of weight. I've been experimenting with a couple of butane stoves, bushcraft style wood stoves as well as my trangia system. Of course its not wild camping, but I'm hoping to talk my husband into joining me for a nice little road as you two just had. Those are what makes for shared memories.
Ali Express has specific Jimny window blinds dude for about £40 that just suck onto the windows which are great! I know what you mean about condensation, first time I camped in mine it was soaking inside. I'm planning on buying the wind deflectors which look like they'd allow you to crack the front windows without letting any rain in. I also believe Ali express do a netted blind which might mean you can have one window full open on nights with better weather!
Nice one young fella, hope to pick up my new Jimny LCV within the next couple of weeks. Will remove the cage partition and travel solo, but a wee bit of bouncy bouncy can not be ruled out of the equation.
👍 To mobile glamping 😉😂 Had a convertible Lada while living in Austria, bench seats folded down to make a double bed. Very comfy and typical of east cars for folk to holidays with tarps attached to open doors. Rumours spread fast around the Tirol I was posh driving a convertible Lada. Little did they know yes the seats 😂 Also rearranged rear seats in my Corsa a few times and had a few great sleeps in that, felt like I was a young surfer again and it was great 😄 Condensation though, only reason ? To keep the bloody midges out !!!
Have you seen the Twisted Jimny upgrade Andy? Updated suspension, leather interior, stage 1 turbo, BF Goodrich tyres… Looks nice, right up your street mate.
At least you gave it a go Andrew. Aye ventilation is the worry sleeping in the car , especially midge season if opening windows. You gonna do a review video on the clothing brand ?
Fink I'm gonna go 4 a Kangoo there's a foldable single bed kit u can buy and I could probably fit my toilet underneath it and there also is a small kitchen camping pod I'd like 2 get 👍
Condensation! Amazing how damp everything got Andrew! Ach well another wee adventure for yous! At least it won't blow away in high winds Andrew! 👍👍😁😁Paul
If your going to camp in you jeep again you should buy window shades. The ones that are like big socks that fit over the door frame covering the window. These will let you open the window slightly to reduce condensation and keep the bugs out. Amazon have them. Cheers 👍
Wee drone shots of the car and the hills slightly reminiscent of the Shining lol. Brilliant video as ever. BTW, just crashed 200 quid. On OR helium bivy. Back to that nonsense at 50. Must be mad.

A brave try, just do it Andrew. we need more challenges on our life even though there are not always surprise and glad.😀
maybe ok for one person... so glad you called them brambles! - my wife calls them blackberries (well she is from down south ;)
Nice little adventure. Might be time to invest in a rooftop tent 😂😂😂
Yes that thought did occur 🤔🤣

Ah but it fair wobbles on those high springs, like sleeping in a moored boat ⛵:-)

I'll check them out Gordon, I actually could crack open the glass with the tyvek but my Mrs complained of the cold breeze 🤣
@@AndrewParkOutdoors yes you do sometimes get a breeze. I find it better to sleep with my feet at the slightly opened window rather than my head. 👍

Haha I was just looking at bivis, someone selling on FB, was fair tempted myself 🤔
...cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…
Nice Video mate,
Could you please give the size of the mattress?
Thanks in advance 😊
Thanks, that one was 200 x 154 but just too wide for the Jimny unless you deflate it and let it curl up the walls at the sides. A
Nice one Andrew and your lovely wife, great experiment. How do you find the Vehicle in general?
Love the Jimny Jim, as long as you don't try to hurry anywhere !
Your car has a radar Andrew?
Well whatever it was that panics and hits the brakes when folk get too close 🤔🤣
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Got you. Thought it was the version that detects police radar. They’re a bit naughty.
No, I don’t think that will catch on. I’d rather put ma tent up, thin looks a right footer
Wot no tent! I can hardly bare to watch, but I must force myself out of duty.
Don't force yourself Dave, it's not worth it. Normal service will be resumed soon 🏕️
