Yeah I think ill just stick with my mage Virtuoso. Chrono is way more complicate for me. Herald is still the lord of the boons apparently and very easy to manage boons uptime. Great video tho 🎉
Exact percentage, I'm not entirely sure, but it's easily over 100%. I tend to have an average of about 15-20 seconds of quickness/alac stacked up at any given time. Alac on yourself will be 33% less than what you give to allies because of Improved Alacrity, so don't panic too much if you drop it periodically
Dagger is just stronger than sword in just about every way. Higher damage, range and more clone generation through skill 2. Mainhand Sword is still okay to use with the advantage of sword 2, blurred frenzy, for an evade. It will result in about a 1.5k dps loss (~4%) and ever so slightly less boons.

Or is it that if we properly rotate from phantasms to phantasms and shatter accordingly that we're gonna come close to 100% uptime of alac? edit: Thanks so much for the reply! Phantasms and Shatters are the only way to give alacrity/quickness sadly. Which means when out of combat, or with no target, we can't give boons :( Alacrity on our self is going to be 33% less than alacrity on allies, so if you struggle with alac on yourself, you're still going to be outputting plenty to your allies
Unfortunately it also means if an enemy can't survive to consistently generate and shatter clones, like in a fight with many weaker enemies, we also can't give any boons. I suppose you could make an argument that we don't need them at that level, but still doesn't feel good
yeahh that was one of my many concerns too when trying to learn it and put into practice. Just have to accept the fact that we cant upkeep the boon as comfortably as other classes can i.e Scourge, Mechanist etc.@@taa347
I'm trying to understand rotation using Continuum Split, and more specifically, do I need to use Continuum Shift myself after using the appropriate skills or do I just need to fit in those skills at the appropriate time? 🤔
The duration of continuum split is based on how many clones are shattered for it. You don't really "need" to use continuum split for the build at all. It's very good if you want to use the same skill multiple times in a row for a burst of boons or damage. So you would enter continuum split, use skills you want, leave continuum split, use those same skills again. Both Tipcat and myself have simplified videos of Power Boons with no continuum split if that would be of interest to you also.
@@vanhohenheim9083 oh sorry, I must have misunderstood. It depends. Manually closing it is good if you have nothing left to cast. The 2 clones Continuum Split used in the video just times out on its own though.
The skill needs to be completely finished (on cooldown) in order to reset. Sometimes this means having to cancel the aftercast of a skill if its finishing at the same time as CS ends. It's a bit annoying, but that's the way it is for now.
You probably could, and gain precision through food/runes/sigils, but it wouldn't be that great. The assassins/berserkers mix can be used for DPS Power Chrono too, so you're getting the value of qDPS, alac DPS and just pure DPS all from the 1 set of gear without having to change.
I do have a video that is a simplified version with no CS and an easy to follow loop for each weapon. I believe TipCat as a similar video doing 90% of benchmark with no CS.
been playing virtuso and was looking at chrono to be able to provide boons if needed, and honestly this rotation looks the exact same. Slower clone generation so less shatter skill spamming but its still basically the same, use clone generation skills off cooldown, pop signet of ether to use clone generation skills more, weapon swap when clone generation is on cooldown, and everything else is filler. Just need an entire different gear set as this is power not condi :(
It is the highest DPS Power Quickness/Alac build currently. It's extremely valuable when portals and AoE pulls are effective. It's also got very strong CC Capabilities. Yes it's more involved, but it's also more effective. As for chrono tank. Big sad. Other healers are just better. Still fun to play around with though.

Power Chrono is pretty much the same. You can swap well of action for disenchanter and then take chronophantasma as the grandmaster trait.
wow this one need a very very quick hand. cant get pass 16k dps but got 99% boon uptime. I'll go back to heal chrono or herald then...

Yes, this is still good. You can use thief relic instead of firework and completely skip over the greatsword 5 parts now.

I wish there was a point to bring chrono, sadly other classes do boons effortlessly and brings more to the table. I kind of miss tank chrono.
