      Not a stupid question at all! Vertigo is a simple dizzy spell or heading spinning sensation. Usually affects the ages of 19-60 the most

    Go get your blood checked! I had dizziness and headaches and ended up having Vitamin D and iron deficiency.

    • @AshleyEstrada86
      @AshleyEstrada86 8 лет назад +5

      That's so true. I live in Las Vegas and recently my bf had his bloodwork done. Normal levels of vitamin D are around 60, he was around a 15 I believe. She said a lot of people on the west coast have low vitamin D levels. Which is funny because how much sun we get. Mainly because it's so hot we are sweating it out so quickly. He is also a cab driver who is outside for 12 hours a day,and his levels were still that low.

    • @aprilevans5102
      @aprilevans5102 8 лет назад +2

      Yes, I agree. I had dizzy spells for about two weeks in December 2014. I was having heart palpitations and anxiety, too. Had to go to the emergency room and they couldn't find anything wrong but the blood work told everything: Vitamin D and iron deficiencies. There could be magnesium and B12 deficiencies, too. All of these vitamins work together.

    It is vertigo sweetie. When the room spins thats,what it is. Could be inner ear related. Mine was caused from being hit in my face, right eye by domestic violence. I had the vertigo for about 10 years. Sometimes for no apparent reason our bodies do mean things to us. I'm so sorry. Get to feeling better soon.

    Dee, I know where you are coming from. I tell people all the time that I am the one blessed and feel so lucky that god has trusted me to raise my autistic little boy. It really does change you as a person. It changes the your entire view on life and just makes you appreciate the littlest things. The littlest milestones can be such huge accomplishments. The simplest things can bring such joy to your child which in return does the same for you. It teaches you patience and acceptance and the list goes on. You have a voice here on youtube and it's great that you talk about autism so that you can educate people who are unaware.

    My husband has vertigo and is on medication (off and on). His doctor told him it had something to do with crystals in his inner ear, and they suggested surgery--which he does not want because it is not a guaranteed fix. He never had this issue until about 5 years ago. When he has a spell, he has to sit, and we usually put a cold compress to the back of his neck (or give him something cool to drink). A neighbor told us her doctor told her to lay across the bed and let her head hang off for a bit, but we've never tried this.
    Stay hydrated, eat well, rest well, and I hope everything gets better!

    The dizziness used to happen to me, sometimes I would just be light headed when I stood up. The doctor told me my sodium was actually low when that happened so I would buy gatorade and pretzels to have during those spells and it helped. My blood pressure was pretty low so I could afford the sodium. Also you do deserve the kind words! There are bad parents out there and it is great to see such great parents like you and Jerry. There is nothing wrong with saying you are a good parent!

    Dee, you DO deserve the "credit"!!! Yes, you are blessed to have them in ur life but, so are they! Not every parent is cut out to handle/rise above these situations but, you two have!!! How many babies out there get aborted/adopted, based on their healthcare needs b/c the parent(s) CAN'T care/provide for him/her?!?! I know what you're feeling b/c I'm going through almost the same thing; not officially diagnosed yet. I am writing this to show my support, admiration, and gratitude!!! Thank you, for allowing me to into your life (via YT) but, especially, for educating/sharing all the ups & downs w/ J3... Hey, Dee! I really hope you're feeling better. I feel the same way sometimes and I had to go to the doctor cause it got so bad. I get really bad vertigo when I'm stressed or I grind my teeth at night. They mentioned something about pressure within the head. I'm not too sure, but when you're feeling like this, sit up on your bed and have pillows on each side of you. Every 15-30 minutes, I tip over from sitting up straight onto a pillow next to me. Girl, it's gonna suck! You may feel so much worse at the first few moments, but it helps. Idk how, but it helps.

  • @omghijessica
    @omghijessica 8 лет назад

    Dee! I feel like that all the time! I asked my doctor about it and they said it's totally normal when your around heat a lot. I even went to the emergency room because one day, i got up, everything was spinning just like usual then I suddenly black out and hit my head on the bed and knock out. Next thing you know, I'm in the er. My tip to you is, once you get up in the morning, just sit down in bed first. Give it a couple minutes then finally get up and start your day(: sorry it's not much but it definitely helps me. So don't stress about it girl!! Love you guys

    Dee isn't it so amazing to see what strength we really do have and learn patience through different things... I too am going through something that I would have never imagine that I could persevere... But I know through God all things all possible and he never puts anything on us too much to bear. There is a reason for everything and only God knows why... But I feel that you are doing great educational wise and also as far as your kids diet.. I have read a lot of things we go through go back to our diets.. Praying for you all always .. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I suffer from vertigo and doctor recommended me to do the following and has worked for me:
    startsitting upright with their head turned 45 degrees to the affected side.
    laid backwards with their head hanging 30 degrees over the edge of the couch and the affected ear to the ground.
    Next, their head is rotated by 90 degrees to face the opposite side.
    The head is held here as the patient rolls their body onto its side.
    The head is rotated so they are facing downward with their nose 45 degrees below horizontal.
    The patient sits up sideways keeping the head in position. Hope it helps and feels better soon

    Sounds like vertigo! I had the exact same symptoms and finally went to a chiropractor who adjusted my neck and jaw and it was able to relieve the fluid pressure in my ear cavity space and get rid of the dizzy spells. Sounds crazy but it worked and it was immediate relief. After a total 3 adjustment (separate appointments) it was completely gone. No drugs, no down time, super easy and quick adjustments. Hope you find relief!!

    Dee, It sounds like Vertigo. One of the best things for Vertigo is cabbage juice. My mom use to spin, be nausea, and fall. Cook cabbage in a little of water. Season your cabbage just as if you were going to eat it. Cabbage has a lot of water in itself. But as you slowly cook it, the water from the cabbage will help with the dizziness and spinning. My mom buys a cabbage and splits it into 4. She cooks one fourth of a piece everyday or whenever she has the symptoms.

My sister goes thru the same with both her kids and she cries so much but back then they did not know much about autism, now they can get all this help so keep up the great work you are giving little jerry and little jordan. I love, love watching your family. So just take it easy and be paitent.

    Dee I know how you feel. I experienced vertigo due to an ear infection, and it was the worst experience ever. Since that time I've experienced vertigo on and off for the past 4 years. It's not easy, but I looked it up on line and I found that ginger helps cause with the dizziness comes the nausea. Also, get up slowly don't make sudden moves, motion sickness pills work too, but I personally don't like taking too much medicine. GOD Bless I hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about J3 he will be fine. I'm a strong believer in prayer, and prayers changes things! JESUS loves you, don't worry!!!
