Happy Birthday J3! Dee & Jerry, I love your story and your growth. I had my son in June of 2013 and he was diagnosed as ASD around his 1st birthday. I remeber watching your videos before my sons diagnosis and thinking how similar my son was to J3. Even though in my heart I knew something was different and special about my son I could not stomach the thought. I never said anything because I saw the similarities in J3 so I would tell myself nothing was wrong. One day I had to work so I had his dad take my son to his check up. Im not sure what was said during the visit but the doctor called me the following day to have my son evaluated for possible autism. I felt so many emotions towards my sons father. I felt betrayed, hurt and I even felt he was trying to sabotage my parenting. I continued to watch your vlogs because that gave me hope. Fast forward my son was officially diagnosed. Mentally I broke down. I was working fulltime trying to run a retail store and I was a single parent at that. But I still continued to watch your vlogs because again they gave me hope. Finally you released a video saying that J3 had Autism and that's when everything begin to make since for me. Dee you inspired me to self teach my son as well as making sure he has therapy. Seeing my sons growth brings me to tears almost daily and randomly Lol. He went from grunting to actually speaking. One year all I wanted for my birthday was to hear my son say "mommy"! Now I get to hear it all day. You story gives me hope and empowers me to never give up and always GO HARD for my son and that's what I will always do! Until my son can fight for his self I'm going to fight until I dont have anything else in me to give! Im sorry for the long novel but I sincerely thank you for sharing your story and I needed to let you know that it has helped and touched so many in so many ways you may never know. God bless and Happy Birthday again J3 now go get lit off some cake!!

I'm emotional watching your Vlog because I remember from the beginning when Jerry J-3 was born and watching all the Vlogs all the way up to this time and he is just an amazing little King and he also shares the same birthday as my son Adrian today my son Adrian turns 16 and they have a lot more in common than you think he has the same special things as well as your son does in learning. That's why every year I can understand why your emotional about your son because every year I'm emotional about my son's growth and getting older too I used to worry about him and now I don't because I know God is in control and that he is completely strong and smart and he can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens him. I will never forget Lil Jerry's birthday because he and my son share the same birthday December 17th and I hope that Jerry has a blessed and fun and exciting birthday today and God bless and much love to your family..

I've been watching since J3 was 4 months old. I was SO delighted by his intelligence, because I had my son December 20, 2012 so they are the same age! My son started reading sight words at 18 months and seeing your son doing similar things as mine made me happy I found a family I can relate to! I get getting comments that my son had autism too and it frustrated me. My heart dropped into my stomach when I saw the autism diagnosis vid. I hated always seeing comments alluding to that. Well my son was diagnosed this past April with moderate autism. He's reading at a second grade level and doing second grade math. Only now is spontaneous speech starting to emerge for our boy. I have a little girl now too, who is already talking more and more every day! She'll be two in March!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY J3. I love you guys. My favorite memory is when you would take walks together and seeing Dee teach them things. I remember they would be at the small desk and both of you would teach them letters, numbers, and animals. I knew little Jerry would grow into a smart functional young man bc of how soon you started teaching them. Both of them are smart and sweet kids. so kindhearted and respectful.

Dee going to school and keeping the household afloat but , still taking the time to teach them colors, animals , How to spell their names. I could write so many but my favorite is when you guys were living in the town house and you would watch the kids dancing shows and you all would dance together. I would always smile. I relate to Dee so much. My son will be 7 next month and he was diagnosed with autism right before his second birthday. It's a bittersweet thing. It teaches you so so much and it makes you so proud of them but also so sad for their struggles! Sweet boys! Happy Birthday Jerry!!
I love this video. My son is 8 and was diagnosed with severe autism at 21 months old. I can totally relate to all of this. It’s been a very hard road since he regressed but every accomplishment and progression is monumental! Happy birthday Jerry and keep up the good work kiddo!!! I always looked forward to the "one more scoop" videos. It was so funny to me because J3 would mirror Jerry's expression, and I found myself saying "awe" every single time. The other thing I remember is how gentle J3 was with Jor. He was very young, but it seemed that he was so careful with his baby sister.
I love to see how you open you guys are on his autism and bringing awareness and doing such a great job on his development.

My son has moderate autism and I still remember the 1st day he was diagnosed with it... I remember my feelings and just looking at him now he has made so much progress. I knew we still have a long way to go and with a baby girl on the way things will get a but harder. He had a fighter... he's been like that before he was born and that's what keeps me going!

I completely agree that once I gave birth to my first born son 9 years ago... he gave me a whole new meaning of life. same with my other 2 sons... Everything my husband and I do is for them. We will always give our all for them and their future families. I wasn't truly living until I had my babies. I find myself randomly looking at them just in complete awe of them. Like how can these perfect little humans be mine?! God must really love us to have blessed us with not just 1 but 3 amazing sons. You guys are blessed but wow... Even watching you guys grow ass parents and just as people in general is so amazing to see. And Jerry truly is the sweetest boy. I think I was crying harder than Dee throughout this whole video. Children are such a blessing. I wish I had been blessed but I was stupid and listened to my stupid doctor. I let her negative words get to me, gave up and never tried. I wish I knew then what I know now which is never let someone (not a doctor or anyone) ever tell you that you can't do or have something. Never give up. We put too much faith in our doctor's and I'm sorry but conventional doctors have no clue and offer no help. Sorry, but I have issues with them as I've had bad experiences with them in regards to myself and family members.
I now a lot of bad parents and it warms my heart to see such loving caring parents who cheris their children....you guys are awesome!

It never fails, I always cry/tear up when you both do the birthday messages to your beautiful kids. I'm soooo proud of seeing how far J3 has come from the first vlog until now! He always puts a smile on my face when I am watching your vlogs and the relationship he has with Jor is too freakng adorable! You both have done an incredible job raising them and although the doctors had a different say so, your parenting and love for him is what got him this far and of course having God in your corner.
