Yes this happens a lot, I started watching some reactions that started around the same time Elie did, but they are still around Season 2. Honestly I lose track and lose interest if videos don't come out consistently. Just one video a week means 2 years of reactions for LOST and that's too long of a wait. At that rate I may watch them in 2027 once they are done with the whole show.

It's really rare to see a reactor actually correctly guessing the ending before the ending and actually understanding it.
To this day many people still call LOST bad because they dont understood it somehow and think "What? they were dead all along?"
    Congratulaions.
ps. It's okay to be a mess because LOST is the pinnacle of cinema

Such a beautiful convo outside the church with Ben, Locke & Hurley. Michael Emerson, man. Perfect delivery. Heartbreaking and healing. And the way Jack almost seemed to know without wanting to know. Good thing I enjoy crying! And seeing others cry over the same things. It's cathartic to share our humanity, even with strangers.

Dont worry about the tears. When I rewatch the show, I cry during scenes from the early seasons because I'm thinking of the end. Like the early scenes with Sawyer and Juliet in season 3 hit real hard on rewatches because I already know that she dies in his arms.
The more you watch the show, the more emotionally invested you become.

Thank you for inviting us to join you on this wonderfully entertaining and emotional journey. I am so glad you understood the ending. Love that you "got it" before the end of the episode. Some people still think they were dead the whole time, not only in the sideways. You got it from the dialogue right off. Fantastic.
The actor for Mr. Eko I believe declined to participate. After this episode aired, many fans speculated that in the episode where Eko dies, that clip of him and his brother walking off into the sunset was their "sideways"/moving on.
Michael wasn't there because as we learned he can't move on.
Other characters missing from the church we saw "aren't ready" to move on. Ben obviously even though he is aware, but also Daniel, Miles, Charlotte, Ana Lucia.
As for Walt... well I do believe you still have an epilogue to watch, maybe you'll get a Walt answer there.
Glad you loved this as much as I have all these years. You know, there's another reactor that I follow that, when he finished his Lost reaction, immediately began posting a Lost REWATCH reaction. Maybe you'll end up doing that?

Thank you Elie, for sharing your experience of LOST with all of us. It will forever be my favorite TV Show of all time.
One can argue how certain small plot points and writing could have been handled differently, but personally, I don't think it could ever take away how beautiful LOST really is.
When I was younger, I had a fear of death. I watched LOST when it aired on TV, and after finishing the final season I felt a little less scared. As silly as it sounds, this show helped me find my faith, and shaped my outlook on life in a lot of different ways.
I came to the channel to watch you react to it. I love introducing people to this show, and I love seeing everyone's reactions because it helps me cope with the fact that i'll never be able to watch it for that first time again. LOST is what brought me here, but i'll be sticking around for what comes next and everything after that.

Found your channel after your first upload of lost. Glad I stayed. I haven’t commented once lol, but just wanna say you have an amazing understanding of cinema and a great analytical mind plus an awesome heart. You’re going to do big things bro I know it.
This show and the last episode here has always really had a big impact on me. It really puts the weight of eternity into perspective and the why behind your life. As a Christian, I don’t actually agree with purgatory at all and how it indicates that all faiths will make it to heaven at some point, but I understand all sorts of people will watch lost and they have to cater to all.
Anyway, really enjoyed brother, and if you haven’t watched “The Chosen” tv series yet, I would highly recommend, it changed my life forever. Would love to see your reactions. I’m not sure what your beliefs are exactly, but I know God has his hand on your life and I pray for more grace over you and that you would just keep going after him and seeking him and that his love and truth will lead you in everything, in Jesus name amen. God bless! ❤❤❤

1:33:37 When Jack says, "I died too." This is my favorite scene. Like you Elie, I give mad props to all the actors on Lost, but Matthew Fox really brought so much to the show and to this finale. He really had to show such a range of emotion and disbelief and awareness. Also, the scene when he starts to remember with Kate, and she says, "I missed you so much" - When you re-watch, you gotta soak those scenes up. Was cool to see you mention how Hurley could be the candidate, and knowing that we'd get Jack, then Hurley. Such awesome writing all around, could write essays about it. Elie, congratulations on completing your LOST journey. I teared up right with you during the final minutes and I've watched the finale multiple times. This was absolutely one of the best tv series ever made.
When it was first broadcast, the end credits appeared over footage of the plane wreckage on the beach, leading some viewers, that hadn't been paying attention to Christian's dialogue at the end, to believe that they had all died in the plane crash. The producers said later that using that footage was a huge mistake.
Multiple rewatches lead to more discoveries of clues and foreshadowing that weren't apparent the first time around.
I look forward to seeing what you do next!

-Island underwater at the beginning of the season: no Light = no Life = no Island.
-Remember this dialogue from the season premiere between Rose and Jack about letting go:
ROSE: It's normal. My husband said the planes want to stay in the air.
JACK: Sounds like a smart man.
ROSE: You be sure and tell him that when he gets back from the bathroom.
JACK: Well, I'll keep you company until he does. Don't worry--
ROSE: YOU CAN LET GO NOW.
ROSE: It's okay. You--you can let go.
JACK: Looks like we made it.
    ROSE: Yeah. We sure did.
-Richard is now aging because Jacob is dead and he was the one who made Richard inmortal.
-The Light with the Cork: the Light is dimmer than before. Some people created the Cork (we can see lots of dead bodies there) to prevent another incident (another rebirth).
-The Cork has cuneiform writing (Cuneiform was originally developed to write the Sumerian language of southern Mesopotamia (modern Iraq). Along with Egyptian hieroglyphs, it is one of the earliest writing systems).
-No Light = No rules, no powers. Flocke and Jack can now hurt each other.
-Why Eloise knew so much? Because she had her son's journal and she spent a lot of time in the Island as an Other.
-Kate says "thank you" to Charlie, not for the blanket but for warning them about the Kahana (not Penny's boat) in the Island timeline.
-In Season 1, Charlie said the same thing to Claire: "I couldn't find any water".
-Jack's son is a wish he always had. Specially with all his daddy issues.
-Little dialog between Juliet and James (Smoke Monster related):
JULIET: Mmmm... Can I tell you a secret?
    SAWYER: Please.
JULIET: If you unplug it (the Cork), and then you plug it back in again (after killing the Smoke Monster)... the candy (the MiB) just drops right down.
    SAWYER: Is that right?
JULIET: Yes, and it's technically legal (without breaking the rules/no rules).
-It worked. Juliet last words after she was buried.
-The End explained by Christian Shephard:
    VOICE: Hey, kiddo.
    JACK: Dad?
    CHRISTIAN: Hello, Jack.
    JACK: I don't understand...you died.
    CHRISTIAN: Yeah. Yes I did...
JACK: Then how are you here right now?
    CHRISTIAN: How are you here?
    JACK: I died too...
    CHRISTIAN: It's okay...it's okay. It's okay son.
    JACK: I love you, dad.
CHRISTIAN: I love you too, son.
    JACK: You...are you real?
CHRISTIAN: I should hope so. Yeah, I'm real. You're real, everything that's ever happened to you is real. All those people in the church...they're real too.
    JACK: They're all...they're all dead?
CHRISTIAN: Everyone dies sometime, kiddo. Some of them before you, some...long after you.
JACK: But why are they all here now?
CHRISTIAN: Well there is no "now" here.
    JACK: Where are we, dad?
CHRISTIAN: This is the place that you...that you all made together, so that you could find one another. The most...important part of your life, was the time that you spent with these people. That's why all of you are here. Nobody does it alone Jack. You needed all of them, and they needed you.
    JACK: For what?
    CHRISTIAN: To remember...and to...let go.
JACK: Kate...she said we were leaving.
CHRISTIAN: Not leaving, no. Moving on.
    JACK: Where are we going?
    CHRISTIAN: Let's go find out.

What a fantastic reaction. I was crying right along with you and I’ve seen this finale I have no idea how many times. I KNEW you’d love it, I just knew it. From the moment I heard you were religious I was like, oh just wait lol. I’m a believer too and this would be such an amazing afterlife. Everyone important in your life just waiting to move on with you. Sorry if I’m rambling here, but you should have seen me watching this episode again after my mom passed. My goodness I was an absolute sobbing mess.

I love the stained-glass window in the purgatory Church office, the wheel with all the religious symbols being equal. While not personally religious, I am still a believer in God, and it's awesome to think that all religions are equal in God's eye. It's a beautiful, peaceful thought.

You held strong, habib… I was watching the moments your voice trembled a bit, speaking through some dense scenes to avoid it… I was waiting for the moment it’d happen 😭😭 No shame! Till this day I still catch myself crying just by remembering some key scenes of Lost. And of course I’m a mess right now! Lol.
Thank you for taking us in this ride. Each one of us is going through our journeys and in this moment you were part of ours, as we were part of yours. Not too far from Lost heh!? We came for Lost, we stayed for you. See ya in the next upload, brutha!

Crying my eyes out as I say this, absolutely loved the reaction as always! I've watched through the series probably 20 times, still getting hit with the tears again though. What a finale! We all cried with you here, man.
Now LOST truly begins, as we find out it's we who are lost in finding other shows this amazing lol
See ya in another series reaction, brotha!

I love the idea that Desmond’s whole life was designed for him to play that major part in saving the island by training him to survive life in the hatch. He lived in a monastery so was used to silence. He was in the army so was used to structure and routine. He was in prison so was used to loneliness and isolation. Everything he did was training him to be there to do what he did which led to the end.
“If nothing we do matters then all that matters is what we do” - This is not a Lost quote, it’s a quote from Angel haha but stil relevant and a great way to look at life 🙂

Mr. Eko did move on with his brother. If you remember the end of his final episode, he and Yemi walked off into the light together. As for Michael, he is stuck on the island and can't move on because of what he's done. Well, at least until Hugo brings Walt back to the island to help Michael move on (I'm only writing this because in the chat you said that you've already seen the epilogue).

1:05:43 - Juliette saying "it worked"...
remember when Miles tried to find out what important information Juliette wanted to tell James, just before she died? and Miles said - "it worked".
It seems like Juliette being so close to the pocket of energy, also had her little "Desmond moment", with flash-sideways, just before she died.

    • @williamcarr7347
      @williamcarr7347 3 дня назад +1

I believe that Juliet was flashing that scene with Sawyer at the snack machine. Alive in the future with James. "It worked". Hitting the bomb also worked because it brought her to the Flash-Sideways..

I’m on my seventh rewatch and something you noticed that I never did was the shirt color choices and their meanings. Amazing.
And this finale makes me cry every time, partially because I grew up watching Lost with my dad and seeing the reminiscing flashbacks reminds me of that simpler time, and I know the next time I watch it after whenever my dad passes I’m gonna need to take the next day of work off to recover.

Man, this reaction was so beautiful, and so visceral for me. Mind you, I have been watching LOST since it aired, in 2004 - when I was 8 years old... since then, I have gone through this series at LEAST 7 times; some episodes I've watched 30-50 times hahaha (I've uploaded some LOST-centric videos on my channel, but I digress...). Sharing this journey with you has been AMAZING. I have loved listening to all of your creative thoughts and theories. LOST is my #1 favourite television show - and this is coming from a man of SCIENCE, who shared in your tears through each of my... probably 50 viewings of this finale hahaha.

NEVOR in Elie's Lost reaction history seen Elie sob like this! I remember watching this and sobbing during the series finale. The Kate, Claire, and Charlie scene got me the most. Then Kate thanking Charlie was her way of saying thank you for saving us all. I was sobbing with you Elie. No matter how many times I watched Lost, this show has and will always have a special place in my heart. This is where Lost finally ends! 😥😭

Happy Lost Finale Day! On this, the final episode of Hey I Know That Place: Sacred Heart Academy, the chapel serving as the gathering place for everyone at the End of The End. I used to live just a block away from this all-girls school (a sister school to Saint Louis School, which was the site of Jack’s son’s school a few episodes back). As lovely and ethereal as the grounds appear in the episode, if the camera had turned around just a bit, you’d see a busy road and a McDonalds. Thank you so much for reacting to the show, it’s been very fun following along and re-living scenes and locations from my childhood. Look forward to the next big series on the channel!

Goated reaction series. I loved how you truly connected with the characters and understood what the show was going for. There are only a handful of reaction series for this show that I feel understand it and you were definitely one of them. I hope you continue to have success on this channel. You should do Severance next! It’s the best show on TV right now.
