We're proud to be Filipinos. We're very welcoming to other nationalities especially the Westerners if they recognized us as being one. However, when it comes to Filipino-Filipino relationships, now that's another story. We tend to be selfish and jealous and envy those kababayans who make good in their endeavours here and abroad. Or if somebody hit a jackpot and became rich instantly, the Filipino mindset is that they think they're also entitled to that money. Call it crab mentality. I call it stupidity. What’s missing in the Western world is the early teaching of good manners and right conduct from the family and carried out thru schools.Respect to elders and teachers are somewhat lacking due to broken families.Young people are taking things so much for granted.Stealing property and belongings of others are no longer considered crime.

Yep, tama Yan. Tayo lang yata sa Asia ang may English subject from elementary to college. That's because of American influence and colonization. I just wish we also had Spanish subject. That would be a plus. I wonder why we don't have it anymore. My mom said there was a Spanish subject then. I wonder what happened.
