LOL @ the heads saying "that guy with the whistle". This was 80's London UK. WE ALL HAD WHISTLES! You did NOT go to a live jam without a whistle round your neck (I always had 3).
At 1st US rappers coming over were like 'WTF is going on?' But on repeat visits they soon got to shouting the phrase "is the whistle posse in the hooouse?!?! Make some noise" It was deafening and fuckin great! It also wasn't too unusual for a few to smuggle in air horns.

Just finished watching the Beastie Boys Anthology DVD and still can't believe the Adam's gone. So glad I got to see them on their last tour through Toronto. RIP Yauch.
