bit of a tip ,stick the race greased in a plastic bag in the fridge ,heat the race ,but the race in the end plate and use the vice with ali pads on the jaws of the vice same goes for the bearing ,you`ll find also using a dead blow hammer is a lot easier
A lot of people destroy bearings using heat, freezing a bearing to fit it is good practice but you can destroy the integrity of the bearing with too much heat, fitting seals and bearings is done in many different ways, I always try to avoid using hammers if at all possible
