- You've heard of Okinawa, but have you visited the island of Zamami yet? If not, you're missing out on a beautiful destination. You'll need to take a ferry to get to the island, but once you're there, it's the perfect place to slow down and relax by/in the water.
Two must-see places are Ama and Furuzamami beaches. If you visit Ama Beach during high tide, there's an excellent possibility you'll be able to swim with sea turtles as they eat. Furuzamami Beach was awarded two stars by the Michelin Green Guide Japan.
Don't forget to try some of the local food too! There are many unique Okinawan dishes like tofuyo and mozuku soba.

its so nice to see all this! i remember all of these places but i didnt do video back then. its so good to see! :) Furuzamami Beach was a trek and hike! But that beach is absolutely amazing with its blue and the coral on the end of the beach

The island is really quite small! I feel like e-scooter would be fine though there are some hills. I did walk and bus and was able to get around decently well.
