This is hilarious, unnecessary, overpriced, and immediately added to my library so I can put together a novelty band of high ego fools and still taste success
Great! I don't think I will use it a lot, maybe song ideas but that's it. Still great! For me the grinding is not the long growing path of the band. With the region expansion there are more battle of the bands gigs which I like despite making the path to greatness even longer. For me the grinding is going to every music shop in town to find the best gear, not only the best guitar but on the long run finding the shop with the wanted strings, drum heads and sticks, and also to find the shop with best prices for repaired gear in town, for the cheapest refurbish, etc. Not only that, the best recording studio, to find that one clothing shop which does have that one shirt on stock, etc. An advertisement newpaper would reduce that grind significantly.
It's interesting how the game has evolved. In recent times, we have had games start with loads of "red" song types making life extremely difficult to almost impossible. There are more and more cases of broken strings etc. at gigs - on a few gigs we had 3 such events! In a game we are playing now (that we have only just started) we cannot get even cheap gigs as there are only "headlining" slots available and the few we can get pay nothing. Our first "Battle" was a total disaster with a broken drum head ruining the performance (this has never happened before). The game also started with "Low Energy" songs being preferred which meant a real difficult problem in writing and performing them. Have the difficulty settings been tweaked to make the early game more challenging?
I enjoy the game a lot and would be happy to support the DLC. Does it have a setting to keep band members from quitting? It seems like every time a get something good going, a band member quits and it feels frustrating.
@@Gillissie Sounds good, Todd.... I'd like to see that. Oh, and this might be like duh: I downloaded the DLC, but how do I get to the cheat menu? Ultimately, I may or may not use it, but I wanted to support the game. 👌
Kind of disappointing. I jumped into the video as soon as i saw Rising Star 2 DLC... really? I'm in? No matter what it adds... But this adds nothing, not really and the price doesn't make any sense even with the excuse of not wanting to raise money for it... sorry no way i'm purchasing this.

Plz add pedal effects and pedalboards!
Todd...
Nicest... game dev... ever!
He's one of a kind for sure.

I think the DLC is a great idea. You have given me interest in the game again. Thank you!
Could you add an Yngwie strat or at least an Olympic white strat?
Yeah just brought the DLC but I don't know if I will use it. The hard grind to get to the top was the best part of the game.

No, sometimes it's just bad luck. Spinal Tap moment.
I agree with @KingBobCat, and cheats would have the option for players to be to enabled or disable the cheat.

No, but it could. I'm open to ideas for useful cheats. Perhaps a cheat to disable the effects of ego.

@@KingBobCat It's at your desk's options. A new "Cheats" button appears there.
@@Gillissie Cool... Thanks, Man!
So do you think you're going to add a No (or less) Ego Cheat, Todd?
How do you use the cheats? What are the cheats?
After you buy it, the button appears with the other desk options in your homes. Shows it in the screenshots on Steam.
Best Pay2Win ever!
ok

Perfect!
wow this dude just oozes greed. "not trying to get rich" yeah ok dude lol
If it's not for you, don't buy it, seriously. I don't care either way. Not having it doesn't change the game in any way.
