Those boys are gonna eventually be at the top of the A class and competing against each other. It's a blessing to go riding with your son's,no matter what brand you choose
Your channel was the very first one I subscribed too and for some reason you were unsubscribed when I checked today so had to re subscribe. Content is really good keep it going.
Right on. Seems like a sweet bike. I appreciate the content on it. Fingers crossed 🤞 they bring these to the US. Options for us consumers is always good. Even for the brand proud folks because it keeps the other manufacturers honest if you ask me.
Great to have a day riding with your boys! Soak up every minute. Fantic could use a stabilizer or at least a few more ft lbs on the steering stem nut! Lol
It is exciting to see a Segway into yamaha bringing something new to the trail bike community. At the end of the day I thought I might have missed out on this bike when buying my new 300xcw but, I'm now positive I got the right bike for me.
Man your boy looks really good riding that bike. Hes right front end looks a little loose. Bike looks great sounds great looks fun to ride congratulations on the new bike Morgan you deserve it merry Christmas to you and your family 🤘
Great review! I'm looking forward to seeing this front suspension disassembled! See if it's like the newer SSSs or if it has a smaller mid valve, like the older ones. And the configuration that comes with them. Thanks for showing this beautiful machine!!
Great to have a day riding with your boys! Soak up every minute. Fabric could use a stabilizer or at least a few more ft lbs on the steering stem nut! lol Would love to see you review a Rieju
Great to see Father and Sons enjoying our sport together! I’m sure you will get the suspension dialed on the Fantic. We would like to know what it weighs, does it have a counterbalancer shaft, does it have the same transmission ratios as a YZ 250 X, and what type of clutch is in the cases. Could you also test it in hard enduro conditions to see how it performs there? Thanks from all of us for making the effort to share what you are experiencing and learning about this new entry into the enduro market. Merry Christmas!
Check your steering head bearings. Had a customer say the same thing and I checked bearings and a little loose. reset them and good to go. Very nice looking and sounding bike.
Glad you got it Morgan! Looks like it clicks all the right boxes. I find as i get older, tons O' power is not always the best, especially in the gnarly stuff! It's fun to watch what guys can do on a little ol' 125 2t on a track racing against 250 4 stroke mx bikes! My 200 rr and X Trainer, both jetted and with high compression heads is more than enough for me!! Of course not needing to deal with jetting does sound really nice+
I suppose you had to spend some extra $ to get that bike here in the states? Love wacthing your video's and this one is an excellent one to watch for my Christmas morning. 😎
If the frantic has the yzf forks I’m telling you they are stiff upon break in like bad but 10 to 20 hours they like a pillow and then the clickers have more of an affect imo
Also, just food for thought, the KYB Fork has some sort of break-in oil real stringy clingy kind of crap. It gets black in that 10 to 20 hours and needs to be changed.
@@290volvo yeah man it’s for real. They contaminate the fork oil real fast. The coatings inside the KYB are not all that good. I know every body just raves about how good they work and I get that but they do black up the oil far far faster than let’s just say a WP for that matter. Do you do your own oil changes on your own forks? I guess not if you did, you would’ve seen what I’m talking about. Happy trails, bro
@@777Randall yeah I seviced the beta forks. Definitely dark especially at 40hrs. Just never noticed anything stringy. And never heard anyone until now say it's break in oil. Not saying you're wrong..just find it interesting.
I think one of them said something about the front end kinda twitchy, try rolling the bars back towards you some. it will help settle it down and you will be use to the bar position in a few minutes.
The Reikon bar are so straight and flat that you get almost no change other than height rolling em back. I tossed em off my Beta on the first ride and put my pro tapers on immediately, and I love the Carmichael bend.
That bike sounds wicked and seems to pull harder then most euro bikes, is the transmission ratio the same as the Yz or the Yzx or completely different?
Very cool bike. Great for your channel. For the average person, you would be taking a big risk buying one with no USA importer or dealer network in place yet. Cool if these come to the US. Is the engine a Yamaha? I know many of the parts are YZ, is the engine?
It’s like your normal bike but on steroids. Definitely pulls harder than any stock 300 (carb or efi) throughout the RPM’s. When it’s in the fast map it’s very YZ ish. Pretty decent hit and over revs like crazy. In the mellow map and with traction control on it grunts off the bottom and is linear but falls off a bit on top.
I see a lot of comments believing this bike will be available in the us market. Unfortunately, when fantic made the deal with yamaha, part of the contract stipulated that fantic could sell bikes everywhere but the usa. Yamaha didnt want to loose sales because the US is their bread & butter. The few fantics in the US have been smuggled in discretly. Any fantics that pop up for sale here will have a huge mark-up.
Probably because apart from Morgan and a few others, all we hear fron the US is " you don't need electric start on a 2 stroke" "you don't need lights". "Lectrons and smart carbs are better than fuel injection" yada yada 😂
All that KTM 300 needs to be stronger is a STIC Super X carb on a bone stawk engine and exhaust. With a proper tune, of course. I'm not sure what the outcome of the metering block a ways back. I've assisted users that got into the weeds with their tuning and they soon realized they had no concept of the full potential.
@@highlandcyclesthanks for the reply. Looks like a blast. Huge Yamaha and kyb fan And been following Fantic enduro over the years and so pumped you got one in the US.
OK, I gotta ask, did you guys do the first thing you should do on every motorcycle before you take it out, but most people don’t… and that is setting the sag and seeing where the clickers are at as your baseline? it looks a little stink bugish in the vid which as you know will cause that head shake, but the video can be deceiving. Sorry if I’m asking a question that’s been answered I missed in another video. 😂 Merry Christmas guys.
@ yeah I heard you say it, but I still consider setting sag bone stock. 😂 I’m sure you do the same, but I like to dial in the stock stuff the best I can so when I make changes or have it revolved, I know that I’ve made improvements from my best stock settings. I think too many people rip their suspension off and send it out before they’ve even dialed in the stock stuff.
@ yep. But when you’re going to let a wide range of people ride it and it’s just for fun, to me there is no point is screwing with it. I’m nit going to change pre load for each person
@@carlatamanczyk3891 I’d rather have 6 gears but I don’t find them necessary unless I’m using the bike for transfers and stuff like that. When I’m racing I’m too scared to go wide open in 6th anyway
No hate man but suspension comments (its hard but its still stock) , ktm have really changed perception and bikes suspensions, especially quality race pace suspension like KYB . Clickers young man , they work on kyb click it out if you want soft or softer. Rare do i hear anyone refer to clicker adjustments anymore is my point, unlike ktm fix suspension work stock stuff. Outside of the norm sag and massive weight variation that KYB has almost three bikes in one of adjustment, fast Enduro mellow enduro and mx like ability. Front and back because Yamaha tecks get it pretty good balance wise, 6 out from stock on everything except high speed. Through your connections have you heard of any chance that fanatics will be sold in the us anytime soon???
I’m really interested to know what the transmission gearing is like being a 5 speed? Is it a close ratio with a tall first gear like the YZ?
Same as a YZ250X except 3rd is a little taller

How is the power delivery com[pared to your carb'd YZ250 with Hitlis P/V kit?... Thanks
Similar characteristics but the Fantic pulls harder.
Looks like the steering stem could be tightened.
How is the rider triangle? Similar to your Beta 300 or more compact? I feel a little cramped on my TM 300.
How's the power, is it like a ktm 300 carb bike? Or is the power broader with less hit at the end.

How smooth is the Motori Minarelli 300cc motor compared to the Ktm 300cc counter balanced motor?
Not as smooth as but much smoother than any other non balanced motor

@ it’s a really cool bike. Definitely not as buttery smooth as my KTM but super fun and familiar because it’s basically a YZ
how does the suspension compare to the bone stoke KTM or Beta
Stiffer all around. It’s breaking in now and getting better. Stay tuned for more on that. But it’s very YZ.
Weight of rider seems to affect suspension a lot.

Transmission gearing ? Like a kTM or Beta or Sherco or a YZX or ?
