Nice list. The only three I own are Fritz Chess, The Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector’s Edition and Ju-On: The Grudge and I never realized they were this expensive until very recently. Makes me glad I was able to pick them up as cheaply as I did.
Good vid m8 with some good information in it, you never said if tgey were Canadian or US titles so not sure which is more expensive. I know the Canadian are more common to find in most cases but maybe you could elaborate in any upcoming vids. I have same problem here as Wiki just calls Pal region , pal games whether its from UJ or Germany which is so frustrating at times because European titles are much more commmoner and cheaper than the UK titles and it is a problem when collecting that the people on RUclips don't show the region side just front and back cover
I love klonoa which is such an underrated platform series. I have the wii version but personally I can’t see this being rare now since they released the first and second game in a remaster collection last year. Maybe the gba versions but not the wii version although I’d say the ps1 original would be. I hope namco reboots the series and makes some more games but I highly doubt they will unless the remasters sell well enough to justify another new game.
For the Wii, I have the Klonoa remake and the Metroid Prime Trilogy. For Klonoa, I was a big fan of the original. After I got the PS2, I tracked down a copy of that one at the local Record Town (music store), which later became FYE [regional chain originating in Upstate NY]... then the two GBA Klonoa games. So it seemed this was the only natural progression. For Metroid Prime... still have the trilogy sealed. Got it right before they started vanishing. I already picked up Corruption separately and the first two on the Gamecube, so I didn't have a need to open it until I was ready to play with the different controller scheme. Well... it's still in "the pile" waiting to be played and who knows if/when that day will come.
Klonoa is such an awesome series! Same with Metroid obviously haha, I have a feeling the Metroid Corruption will start raising in price soon, I'm surprised the market value hasn't increased more with Corruption to be honest! Thanks for the support 👏
My Wii Metroid prime trilogy collectors edition,is one of my favorite games of all time. Mine is complete and in mint condition. Had offers of over 300 hundred Euros for it,but I'll never sell. Its my favorite collection piece by far!
It’s interesting, though, that the rarest games are often not the most collectible/valuable. Panda games for the Atari 2600 are exceedingly rare, especially in box. They are now expensive, but not crazily so. The same is true of many unlicensed NES games; I’m thinking of the blue cartridges. The cost of them often has little relationship to how hard they are to find.
@@moonshinegaming For the best I’m going to wait to get Klonoa 2 since they announce the duology for the Nintendo Switch coming out this summer. All built from the ground up, no emulation.
Fire Emblem: Radiant of Love may have another (physical) version that fixes the save glitch, but I cannot verify that. Anyone know about this or have a way to check the box art, disc, and/or inserts to determine if there is a re-release of FE:RoL?
@@handrewmillan4293 - I could be incorrect in this, but I think that if you sent your game in, you would get a fixed version sent back to you. I remember reading something about that sometime in 2005/2006. I also remember that Marvel Card game for the Nintendo DS that has a game breaking glitch. I mailed my copy to SNK and they mailed me back a fixed version that also came with collectible cards.
@@NYCJoeBlack yeah i remember that process on other games as well like turok but with turok there was a visual indicator, wondering if its the same in this instance
I would say these are expensive, but I feel like people get rare and expensive mixed up. Opoona for the Wii, is rare. It costs roughly 70 bucks right now, and another example, The Kore gang. Which Is incredibly rare, but only costs about 15 bucks. Just because a game is expensive doesn’t mean it’s rare.
Since there is no way to gauge rarity, price point is the way I format these videos. Maybe you should make a video outlining what you think are the 10 rarest games in your opinion and source why you came to those conclusions. I’d be interested to watch! Thanks for checking out the video 👍
For monetary value, I'd rather own Cyberbike (north american version) than anything on this list. Yeah it would be hard to pull dokapon numbers with it right now, but it's about as rare as Veggy World. I think collectors and investors will pay more for it though because it reminds them of the ultra rare Mountain Bike / Speedracer combo cart for the extertainment bike on SNES, also the publisher is reputable (Agetec) vs weird shovelware brand. Cyberbike should be a big one on this list.
I could definitely see it raising in price in the future for sure. There are so many unknowns with the future of Wii collecting prices, I'm excited to see what happens in the next few years
The sheer volume of games has me excited to see what will become expensive and sought after, I used to love hunting for Will games and you’re right! It seems like they are significantly less common in the wild now
@@moonshinegaming thanks! It’s a great video, I didn’t mean to come across as snarky, but you and I both know there are some video games that are just not ever going to be worth what they sell for. That Mensa game, for example.

You're not wrong there haha Klonoa is obviously a better game, but the list is based on rarity and price point, not gameplay. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@moonshinegaming On a interesting subject, i'll tell you a survival horror video game series that is worth almost any price...that is the Fatal Frame series. the first 3 are slightly easier to get a hold of because they are all on PS 2 and i think 1 n 2 were remade (though many feel the remakes weren't as accurate in telling the story which is the most important part arguably as the entire 5 games are linked). FF 4 was on the Wii with stupid motion controls and only in Japanese until some fans were decent enough to translate it into English, the characters still speak Japanese but there are subtitles and the text is in english. FF 5 was for the Wii U and used that cheesy camera motion device...but the game was still awesome and thankfully they actually had it in english (guess the japanese learned to stop being selfish mofos). but i know people who would pay huge money to get the english translated version of FF 4...even if it technically is kind of a pirate game because it was translated without the companies' permission.

These's always the modded Wii option for these.
For sure!
Veggy World goes for about $350-400 now. Looks like it climbed to number 1 now.
Holy shit!!! That’s a crazy price spike since this video was made
Oregon Trail is on the rise
And now it’s back under $200. Crazy video game market
I bought the Metroid Prime trilogy Steelbook edition for $20 last year. No idea it was such a score.

I bought it for 60€ and now its worth now is over 250€. The game is also extremely good.
