Gannets at Troup Head, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Join me as I explore RSPB Troup Head Nature Reserve on the north-east coast of Scotland.
Troup Head is home to Scotland's only mainland gannet colony. There are 1500 breeding pairs of gannets that live here so I took my camera along to photograph some of them.

They like to fish. They hit the water at over 70 miles per hour and then swim around until they catch something.
