Hi @SebsDuran awesome reaction to Travis tritt Travis released the 3 part series Anymore& tell me I was dreaming & if I lost you. As a CMT trilogy video in the late nineties. And Travis performed those three live in concert if you type it up on you tube you will find it im positive you will. I hope to chat again Bob Steinmiller.
Listening to your comments for the first two songs without the videos proves that you really don't get it. I think when you watch this final chapter of this trilogy you will come to more enlightenment.
Been waiting for this, get ur tissues!!!! Wait, you 1000% did yourself a disservice by not watching the actual videos 😭 I literally watched all my excitement for this reaction burst like a bubble
Around 2000 or 2001, we rented a cabin in the North Georgia mountains. We carried our boat with us and kept it in the water at a marina on Lake Blue Ridge. Travis was at the marina hanging out every day in the evening just like a few other people. We couldn't quite talk him into tubing on the lake with us but he did hang out with us. He didn't flaunt who he was.
Really need the videos for these. Anymore .. Mac is a vet in the hospital not accepting his life. Till love won over. 2nd song ... Annie slips on the deck and hits her head killing her but their baby survived. 3rd song 5 years later .. he and his little girl go honor her mom.
The songs are the bones and muscle, but the official videos are the organs and skin of that body of work. It has to be back to back to back for them, because between each section of the song, a video story plays through them all. Every time I hear each of these songs, it is like a punch in the gut, but every time I watch those videos it's a throat punch, a punch in the gut, followed up with a tearing out the heart finishing move that would make a seasoned Mortal Kombat player squeamish! I remember about the time these songs came out the things I was going through, and man, "If I Lost You" hits so damn hard, even to this day. But that's a long ass story, and you already read on video about the story of my dad for Conway Twitty's "That's My Job". The next best video of Travis Tritt, at least, one that makes you happy and a little pumped is "It's A Great Day To Be Alive". Especially a more recent live version that others have reacted to. Great song, and great talent Tritt has! Also, he retweeted a tweet of mine once, which made me feel awesome! Great guy!
My heartfelt thanks goes out to all who have served our great country. Also, congrats on your third kid, Sebs. My wife and I just had our third almost three months ago. I love my kids and couldn’t imagine life without my wife or kids.
He's one of my favorite country artists as well! One of my favorite things on RUclips is watching country music "haters" become country music lovers! ❤
My grandson was about 5 years old and his sister about 2 when they got in trouble my son in law punished them and evidently my grandson ask for a quarter they ask him why he said so he could call me because he said I would care. Made my son in law laugh.
Dude...when "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares" came out in 1991, that was the start of 90's country for me. I had a little Suzuki Sidekick with a banging stereo and me and my friends would cruise around our small town with the top off, jamming to Travis Tritt. Good times. I must add...I completely missed the grunge rage due to 90's country. No regrets.
❤ Travis has been a favorite country legend of mine since I was a kid. I am 53 now and I still love his music. He can bring out your deepest emotions so easily.
I saw Travis live a few years ago (2015-ish?). It was a mid-size venue. He performed the full 2.5 hour set by himself with just a microphone and his acoustic guitar. He filled that entire threat with sound and he sounded just as good as he does in these performances. He also wrote or co-wrote most of his music. His talent is immense. Future songs to check out: I'm Gonna be Somebody, Where Corn Don't Grow, Country Club, Lord Have Mercy on the Working Man, and Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).
I adore Travis! I've seen him 5x in concert! He begins every one with the pledge of allegiance My eldest cousin was the long haired "veteran" on cuff crutches in the video for "Anymore". He was a CNA at the Alvin C. York Veterans Home where they shot the video and they asked him to be in the video. Jimmy's gone now, heart attack at 62yo...but I can see him and hear his voice. 🥹 Glad you enjoyed Travis work.... He's a fine entertainer and patriot.
❤ my dad served in WWII ...he was a field medic and I miss him soooo much and I'm very proud to be one of his 10 children...he passed away in 1994 , 5 months after our mom passed away and 3 days before my 30th birthday and Thanksgiving...thank you to all our service men and women for all you do for us
Travis Tritt was in the same group of Country singer that included Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Keith Whitney. They followed in the same steps as the people by the like of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, among many others who wanted Traditional Country Music alive while adding electric Guitars, and electric Bass into Country Music. Yes, I know Willie Nelson uses mainly Trigger, but was converted to electric guitar a long time ago.
I've always loved Travis Tritt! "Put Some Drive In Your Country" is a great rocking country tune. He also does a fabulous collaboration with Marty Stuart called "The Whiskey Ain't Workin' Anymore"!
I requested this Hella long time ago and left link for trilogy in one vid. It's an absolute must watch at least one time. It completely changes the perception and emotions of the song.
I normally love your reactions but not this one, you have to watch the videos with these in order to get the story, they are so well done I can’t watch them without crying, so good!! I originally heard the songs first when they came out but videos take them to another level
Sebs, you missed out by not viewing the official videos. The first song, Anymore, sets up the whole story. The second one, Tell Me I Was Dreaming, also tells an important piece of the story. Without seeing the videos you really don't get the full impact of the story. Live Travis is always good, but in this case you have missed out. Sorry you couldn't find the videos. If you can find them in the future, you should watch them.
Maybe he shouldn't watch the video forbTell me I was Dreaming with Ali being pregnant. I remember My ex husband was so protective of me after this came out.
T-R-O-U-B-L-E Sometimes She Forgets It's A Great Day To Be Alive Just on and on Had some great duets with Marty Stuart and he was on the Eagles tribute album with a remake of Take It Easy
If I lost you. I lost my first wife to cancer. My second wife left me for another man. To me, the divorce of my second wife was worse than the death of my first wife. The reason is that my first wife did not reject me, and my second wife did reject me. Another reason is that I know that my first wife is in Heaven. Shortly before she died, she was on so much powerful medication that she lost in a trance like state. Then one day when our two children came home from school, we went to see her in the hospital. When we walked in, she was alert and called us each by name. I sat there and watched as our children, a boy and a girl, were enjoying their time together. I noticed that she kept looking at a corner of the room and she had a very joyful expression on her face. I looked, but there was only an empty chair in that corner. I said, what is it. She pointed at the chair and said, Jesus. I thought she was hallucinating because of the medication. The children, and I thought that she was starting to recover. The next day, when I was on my lunch break and the children were in school. I went to see her, I knew as soon as I saw the door to her room closed and a note said, go to the nurses station. They took me to an office and the doctor came in. When he started to speak, I said, I know- I know. The saddest thing was when our children got home from school. They were happy and smiling, because they thought that their mother was getting better. They cried and screamed NO, as they tried to run away. I caught them and held them as we cried together. When they asked me why, I said that, she doesn’t have to suffer anymore, because Jesus was waiting in that chair to take her to Heaven. Revelation 21:4.
Every morning I wake up and realize yet again that my son is gone . Absolutely a recurring nightmare, and will be for the rest of my life. This song hit me hard! My son took his own life and didn't say goodbye. I'll never get over it. Sorry, it's the songs fault. 💙💜💔
I loved your interpretation of Tritts' voice like country version of Creed & Stone Temple Pilot lead singers. Very perceptive & I have that thought & connection when I hear them. But as a bit of my advice with 40 years of marriage to you and your comment at 10:00. Anytime you refer to your 3 children they are always "our" 3 children. Especially if you are still both together & in love.
Lost my husband 11/13/2012. There’s nights that I dream of him being well and here and I wake up and cry when I realize he’s gone. Travis is making me cry.
I lost my Son in a motorcycle accident 8/5/23 this song has always been one of my favorite but it tore me up this morning it do t get any easier you just learn to live with your loss.
Everyone is right. The videos are mini movies and it's a whole series. You missed the 90s, these videos are incredible. Thank you for the blast to the past.
First song, the guitarist in the back (red guitar) that is Brent Mason, mentioned him in some of your other reviews when you mentioned country guitar playing. This backup band is known as the players, top session players in Nashville. Those band members are on more number one hits then you can count, especially from the 90s. And not exclude Travis, he is such a great live singer.
You gotta give The Statler Brothers a listen! They are known, to this day, as "The most awarded act in the history of country music, and as "THE Entertainera on and off the record." They were inducted into both The Country Music Hall of Fame and The Gospel Music Hall of Fame. They wrote mostly nostalgic songs but also are very clever and witty and are known for incredible turns of phrase, word plays, and for being outstanding story tellers. They released at least one album every year. For 13 of their 40 years they released more than one album a year! They are legends! There songs include comedy, heartbreak, gospel, nostalgia, patriotism, and songs for family. They had two outstanding Christmas albums, several full history albums and included at least one gospel song on every single album and gave other country artists like Reba Macentire, The Judds, and others their break. They were given their break by Johnny Cash in 1964 and they stayed with him for over 8 year in the 60's to early 70's as part of his music family. They stayed friends till Johnny's passing and even wrote a great tribute song to him called, in classic Statler fashion, "We Got Paid By Cash." You can see the word play at work in that title. They are very funny in concert and put on a great show! They should just as good live as they do on their albums and they were known for tight beautiful harmonies and beautiful songs. Check them out. Some favorites include "My Only Love", 'Elisabeth", "Silver Nedals and Sweet Memories", "Too Much on My Heart", "I'LL Go To my Grave Loving You", "More Than A Name on the Wall", "You've Been Like A Mother to Me," "Atlanta Blue", "Forever", "Am I Crazy", "The Best I Know How", "Maple Street Memories", "Years Ago", "How Are Things in Clay Kentucky", "Your Picture in the Paper", "Class of 57", "Don't Forget Yourself", "I'll Take Care of You", "You Can't Have Your Kate and Edith Too", 'Shennandoah", "Flowers on the Wall", "Less of Me", "I Don't Know Why", "Forever", "More Like My Daddy Than Me", "Guilty", "Is it Your Place or Mine", 'My Music My Memories and You", "Holding On" ... and c that's just a tiny fraction if the many many many hits and great songs from their extensive catalogue. Check them out. I think you'll appreciate their harmonies and clever songwriting.
Travis also had a great song out and was given the credit for getting The Eagles back together he did a cover of their song Take it easy and they was in the video with him
My cousin Ricky McCathy served seven years in the Navy and did three deployments for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and my dad said his father Donald McCarthy was in the army stationed in Europe. He was in the liberation of FranceThankfully both came back safe.my grandfather lived to be 97 and my cousin is raising a family in California
When I was in the Navy in the 80's and out at sea for 6 or 7 months at a time it was common for guys to get dear john letters. The only way to communicate with anyone at home was thru mail deliveries that were sporadic at best. Maybe a high dollar phone call if you got some liberty in a port somewhere lol Must have been hard but there were some lovely distractions in ports all over the world!
The music video for tell me I was dreaming is heartbreaking but so good. I'm mad it's not on RUclips. He's in his wheelchair on a dock and his pregnant wife is doing something on the boat and falls and cracks her head on the deck and dies. 😭😭
In 1970, I was assigned to the 5th BN, 30th FA in Italy commanded by LTC William Nolde when I received orders to go to Vietnam. LTC Nolde called me into his office and showed me a letter that He had received from General Westmoreland telling him that he had been selected as an ARVN Area Advisor for his second tour in Vietnam. He was to be promoted to Colonel before going. He asked me to get an assignment in his area as an advisor. I had no desire to work with the ARVN and did not do that. Colonel Nolde became the last man killed before the official end of the war. He was a great guy, good friend and dedicated officer. On this Veterans Day, I salute him!
I'm glad you did a reaction to this one. I have been recommending these 3 videos as many reactors only watch one of them at a time or just one and don't get the whole meaning of these videos and the storyline. Tell Me I was Dreaming is #1, then Anymore #2 , then the last one If I Lost You #3. But was disappointing as you should have watched and reacted to the official videos. Watch them and you'll see what I mean. #1 = Soldier is in the Veterans' Hospital and wants to cut out his wife from his life as he doesn't think he's man enough for her and wants her to start her life anew, but she sticks by him and brings him home. #2 = Soldier (with his buddy from the Vet hospital) start a boat/marina business and his wife is heavily pregnant. She falls and hits her head. #3 = Same soldier brings his birthday girl/daughter to a monument of his wife, as it's her special day too. As a Veteran's wife of almost 50 years, thank you.
The Neo-Traditionalist movement in country music during the '80s and '90s is my favorite era for the genre: George Strait, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Carlene Carter, Dwight Yoakum, Patty Loveless, Travis T., Vince Gill - not to mention that guy named Garth - Alabama, Randy Travis, Brooks & Dunn and others are all worth investigating.
Oh no!!! You should have reacted to the videos. It is a must to follow along with each song that makes it such an awesome trilogy. Any country music song that has a video is a must to react to the video since there is such great story telling. Oh well, hopefully you go back and watch the video trilogy and make sure you watch in order
Yes, I remember when you started to reactions to Country tunes. With that said if you are being content creator who does reaction to various songs, you really should cover all bases, so you hopefully get the most exposure.
If you can… find the video that goes with “Anymore”. It’s heartbreaking but meant so much to us during the Viet NAM war…. It brings home how devastating
True story. Here's a quarter tour. My only sister and I are front row. Well he's tossing these coins with his image out. I caught 2. The crowd rushed to the stage and Travis is bent down reaching out to fans and he grabs my sister's hand. I'm like 4'10" and I can't get up there. We get home and she's all teasing me about it then later asks me for one of the coins and I tell her no. It was all in good fun. But 10 years later she was killed and I wouldn't let them close the casket until I got the coin and put it in her hands. But we had a blast that night and it's a memory I'll never forget.
Okay, please do 'When Something is wrong with my baby' by Travis Tritt and Patti LaBelle!!! It's the duet you didn't know you needed in your life until you hear it!!! Congrats on the new family member!!! 🎉
There were a couple in our town, had a son killed in Nam, and to talk to them, they did not have a son .. that was their way of dealing with the lose of their son.
I'm a Vietnam veteran I was there from 68 to 70 I walk point or recon that was 8th of us we walked into a bunker complex I was shot in the leg and crashed in a helicopter while being metallic one week after in hospital I got a dear John she left me for a piece of trash but thank God she did because I found my wife that I'm still with 55 years God bless you take care of your family family and God is all that matters
I love 90's country! There were SO many great ones during that time. Don't think I've seen anyone react to David Ball or Tracy Lawrence! Maybe give them a go! Sorry I can't hang with you until the end. I lost my husband 7 years ago (almost) and I still have a tough time!
Travis is a good ol Georgia boy, been listening to him since high school over 30 years ago, his old stuff is country gold, all of it, my fav is the bible belt, but check out one of his newer songs, smoke in a bar, which is much more traditional than much of his older stuff
Anymore was cut out due to copyright issues, so I will be releasing that section as a standalone when copyright issues are resolved!
Thanks!!
“Anymore” is my favorite…I’ve been recommending it for ages
Hi @SebsDuran awesome reaction to Travis tritt Travis released the 3 part series Anymore& tell me I was dreaming & if I lost you. As a CMT trilogy video in the late nineties. And Travis performed those three live in concert if you type it up on you tube you will find it im positive you will. I hope to chat again Bob Steinmiller.
Beautiful! Thank you
The music videos would hit you even harder!
You cannot bet the full impact of these songs without the videos. They are so much more....
Listening to your comments for the first two songs without the videos proves that you really don't get it. I think when you watch this final chapter of this trilogy you will come to more enlightenment.
I agree!!!
Yep for sure
Yeah you really need to use the videos for this.
All videos and listening in order to get the whole story
Been waiting for this, get ur tissues!!!! Wait, you 1000% did yourself a disservice by not watching the actual videos 😭 I literally watched all my excitement for this reaction burst like a bubble
Same!! I was like YES!! Then... NO!! 🤦♀️

3rd song 5 years later .. he and his little girl go honor her mom.
Travis Tritt is one of the most underappreciated country artists out there. For those who love true honky-tonk he is a legend.
Finally, THE TRILOGY! One of the best things to come out of Country Music…ever!!! So glad to see this reaction
Wait! Not the official videos!? NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
You watched the end of the movie but missed the first 2/3!!! You gotta find those official videos and reshoot this!!!!!!!!!
Travis Tritt is one of my favorites. Love all his songs.
Travis Tritt and Alabama... nothing short of awesome.
Travis, a stool and his 6 string live... It does not get any better!
I just love Travis Tritt, I saw him once live and he was great ❤🔥
Love all three of these songs. My late husband was a veteran. He's been gone for twelve years and is missed everyday. God bless all our veterans.
Love Travis…. you need to see all 3 official videos!!!

Travis Tritt does not get the recognition he deserves. One of the greats in country music.
I Remember as a Kid Seeing the Music Video to Anymore.😢😢😢 So Beautiful!
Travis Tritt has so many great songs
My heartfelt thanks goes out to all who have served our great country.
Also, congrats on your third kid, Sebs. My wife and I just had our third almost three months ago. I love my kids and couldn’t imagine life without my wife or kids.
Travis is a great singer. I've seen him in concert several times. Always a great show
He's one of my favorite country artists as well! One of my favorite things on RUclips is watching country music "haters" become country music lovers! ❤
really need to do the video for these
Totaly. Live is "ok" but the video put so much more emphasis on the music!!!
Finallyyyyy you are listening to Travis Tritt!!!!!!!! Listen to ..Here's a quarter, call some one who cares!!!
My grandson was about 5 years old and his sister about 2 when they got in trouble my son in law punished them and evidently my grandson ask for a quarter they ask him why he said so he could call me because he said I would care. Made my son in law laugh.
Travis is awesome live! Seen him a few times. Once he rode onto the stage on his Harley! Swoon…. ❤️

I love Travis Tritt and have since he was touring with Marty Stuart. He is still putting out great music 💜
Oh Sebs, these songs are absolutely gorgeous but the videos tell another deeper story. The videos are a must, You will be a puddle!

He’s one of my favorites. His voice has soul, like Chris Stapleton.
I LOVE going to Travis Tritt live . I’ve seen him many times
I love Travis Tritt! My son and DIL took me to his concert last May for a Mother's Day gift. It was so good!
I adore Travis!

Travis Tritt Love of a Woman. I think you will like it.
SEBS, thanks for the Veterans Day Reactions. I spent 34 years in the Military and would do it all over again ! ! ! ! !

"Drift off to dream in my arms" is one of my favorites by him!
Are the videos not available anymore? You won’t know the heart of this trilogy without the videos!
Every morning I wake up and realize yet again that my son is gone . Absolutely a recurring nightmare, and will be for the rest of my life. This song hit me hard! My son took his own life and didn't say goodbye. I'll never get over it. Sorry, it's the songs fault. 💙💜💔
Travis my favorite country performer. Seen him 3 times. Wonderful every time. Sang 3 hours or more.
I come here to enjoy the way you react to each word and interpret to each one
Travis Tritt is def the man! Glad you found him!
Travis Tritt was so underappreciated
Lost my husband 11/13/2012. There’s nights that I dream of him being well and here and I wake up and cry when I realize he’s gone. Travis is making me cry.
Travis Tritt is one of the musicians who caused me to learn to love country music. There are so many of his songs I love, including this trilogy.
Travis Tritt is A Super Star of Country ❤🎉
I lost my oldest son 24 yrs ago. Never a day. Don't know why the world keeps going somedays.this is beautifully sad ❤
I lost my Son in a motorcycle accident 8/5/23 this song has always been one of my favorite but it tore me up this morning it do t get any easier you just learn to live with your loss.
Hands down the best concert I’ve been to ❤
Just seen him in concert in August. Fantastic!
Everyone is right. The videos are mini movies and it's a whole series. You missed the 90s, these videos are incredible. Thank you for the blast to the past.
Travis Tritt was my first concert in 1997. Full circle, saw him at the Florida Theater, Jacksonville Florida, in 2023.

You gotta listen to him do “modern day Bonnie and Clyde” that has Billy Bob Thorton in the video
I lost my son in 91 , and lost his mother in 94...she was 32....30 years later and I still feel that loss
My husband, who was a veteran, died two years ago. I so wish he would come to me in my dreams. ❤
Now you have to go back and watch the videos for these songs!!
Travis is a jewel..❤
The music video for tell me I was dreaming is heartbreaking but so good. I'm mad it's not on RUclips. He's in his wheelchair on a dock and his pregnant wife is doing something on the boat and falls and cracks her head on the deck and dies. 😭😭
We almost lost our little girl a couple of years ago. This song hits way different now.
Our Veterans can't forget our wars, & so we can't forget our war's Veterans.
I was looking forward to seeing you react to Anymore! But you can't really go wrong with ANY Travis Tritt ballad.
Great tunes and love your reaction!🇨🇦
If you can… find the video that goes with “Anymore”. It’s heartbreaking but meant so much to us during the Viet NAM war…. It brings home how devastating
You've got to listen to "Drift off to dream", "Where corn don't grow", "Here's a Quarter, call someone who cares", "the whisky ain't working any more"
His wife died in the song sir you have to watch the video
Heck yes!!!!!
Grunge country and early Travis Tritt. Spot on.
I love "I'm going to be somebody, somday"
Okay, please do 'When Something is wrong with my baby' by Travis Tritt and Patti LaBelle!!! It's the duet you didn't know you needed in your life until you hear it!!!
Congrats on the new family member!!! 🎉
There were a couple in our town, had a son killed in Nam, and to talk to them, they did not have a son .. that was their way of dealing with the lose of their son.
I love Travis so much…well, his music. I’m not crazy
Travis was also very instrumental in getting the Eagles re-united.
The official videos are like mini movies… if you can find them, they are a must see
I love 90's country!
My Great Uncle was Dear John'd He is Now Mid to Late 80's and Never Married and No Kids.
There is a video on you tube that has all three videos. You can't get full impact without videos
