  • Shining lasers at an aircraft is not only extremely dangerous for the pilot and passengers, but it's also a federal offense that can bring significant fines and jail time. If you have a laser or laser lights display, use it responsibly or lose the laser.
Thanks to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), our partner in safety, for footage in this video.

This response only happens when police assets are in place. In many ways, lasers are more dangerous than even UAS - which can be digitally tracked. Lasers, not so much.

      What is UAS?

@@_Breakdown Unmanned Aircraft System. It consists of the unmanned aircraft (aka, drone), the control station, and the data link.
Strictly speaking, a drone should be referred to as a UA, not a UAS.

@@johnopalko5223 thanks. Would be simpler if he just said “drones” 👍🏼

@@_Breakdown Yeah, but that would have been too easy. 🙂
Although, I do see his point. "Drone" is not a term in the Pilot/Controller Glossary. When flying, we try to adhere (or we _should_ adhere, at any rate) to accepted terminology.
