The Sunday Jazz set brings together seven artists based in New England who have performed at the renowned Providence cocktail bar, Courtland Club - an incubator for live jazz in the local Providence scene, uniting the community and the musicians within it each Sunday. Leland Baker and Jason Shechtman (Founder and Director of Courtland Club) teamed up in 2019 to start hosting live jazz every Sunday at Courtland Club with the Leland Baker Trio. Since then, Courtland Club has become a staple in the community for live music, and furthermore has immensely contributed to the progression of live jazz in Rhode Island.
