Can you reference the interview where this snippet came from, please? It's definitely one of the few radio interviews he'd done which was recorded and saved. Where's this one particularly from?

This needs to be transposed up an octave plus one whole step to be readable on a tenor sax. It’s a great transcription otherwise.

Samara Joy is a singular talent with a superb, supple instrument, a wide range and a gorgeous tone. That said, I'm starting to worry that she's overdoing the vocal flourishes and melismas, which tend to detract from the songs she's performing. She doesn't need them. One hopes that she'll dial back the mannerisms and treat her material more faithfully and let the melodies speak (or sing) for themselves.

Pure perfection...Can't wait to see you at Carnegie Hall next year!

I am a big fan of Bill Charlap's trio recordings. I have 7 of his albums on Venus Records, and I've just spent the last hour ordering 4 more of his CD's, lol. This live session is amazing. The sound is warm & open with a large spacious presentation, and an 'in your face' sound. I hope this fantastic evening of music is eventually released to the public via CD or digital. Thx!

It sounds like Makaya & Junius are playing Finances, but Jeff & Josh Johnson are playing something else entirely or maybe just improvising. Then they all come together at the end, maybe intuitive improvising (on the spot composing).
