- THE TIME HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! THE PLANETS ALIGNED AND WE MADE IT HAPPEN! The FIRST official meet up of Geode Cracker & Collector and none other than @RufotrisRootedRockhound ! With the added bonus, returning for another EPIC cross country rockhounding trip, Greg! (He’s still building his channel, but it’s coming, don’t worry 😉) The three of us met up at Mohawk Valley Mineral Mine to do some Herkimer Diamond Mining!
Herkimer Diamonds aren’t actual diamonds, but instead a unique growth habit of Quartz that is only found in a handful of locations, this mine being one of them! The 3 of us camped on site for 3 nights and had an amazing time! Definitely recommend checking their mine out and really exploring all they have!
This video captures day 1 in the mine, and I should have at least 2 more videos to come from this adventure with Chris and Greg! So kick your feet up, grab a drink and enjoy the video!
