    As I’ve seen many times on RUclips, in places where tornadoes are rare, nobody seems to have a clue how dangerous they are. Onlookers just stand and watch while holding up their phones.

    #9 was a phenomena known as a "derecho", caused by the downward collapse of a super-cell. these form on hot, humid days where there is little steering winds. when the temperature cools in the evening, the cumulonimbus storm clouds collapse downward, sending clouds outward in all directions, complete with heavy rains and winds. A very large derecho can cover more than 100 miles from one direction to the opposite side.

    Speaking of hail, I lived in Colorado Springs and about ten years ago, we had been hit with a hail storm and it stalled over our neighborhood...it was falling fast and hard and there were baseball ice falling...it broke one window in the kitchen, our slider, and our neighbourhood was almost decimated...every house on my street needed replaced...ALL of them...there were pockets of that type of damage throughout CS...our local roofers were hecka busy, then roofing trucks were parked everywhere from Texas mostly...
    I have lived in Nebraska and the storms there are legendary...

    I bet the owner of the car at 10:58 rolls his windows up from now on. And I’m not buying that no one was lost in that Chinese flood. There were clearly people inside of some of those cars that were floating away.

    • @Debbie-henri
      @Debbie-henri 3 месяца назад +2

      That's what I thought. There were cars with headlights full on. A car alarm makes headlights flash. So someone was likely in there.
      I've seen other videos from the China floods last year where you knew the cars and people being filmed were beyond rescue. It's an insult to the victims and victim's families for their government to claim so little loss of life. Police were filmed clearing away public memorials to the victims - it's supposed that authorities didn't want some bright spark to start adding them up and working out just how many more people did die.
      China has been hit really bad over the past couple of years.

      @@Debbie-henri The glorious leaders don’t want any negative news coming out. Lots of corners seem to be cut in construction and planning over there, so when a disaster happens, it’s that much worse, with more effort being spent on sweeping it under the rug rather than any kind of remediation. Very unfortunate.

    Mother nature can indeed be scary and wreck havoc that is unfathomable to us. People should always be up to date with current events and seek knowledge on how to stay safe in the event of such disasters. Early warning systems would also be beneficial to reduce the loss suffered.

    Im not surprised the rare tornadoes in number 8 were only on farm land. They are doing land grabs on farms all over the world and they have the technology to create the tornadoes now.

    08:23 I have a problem like that with the mini barn used as a shed behind my house. It slid off it's foundations when there was a long lasting severe rain storm that turned the hill it was on to mud. It then slid off of its foundation. Anyone have an idea on a way to save it? It is filled with stuff in storage.
