When a new player comes to Alabama, no matter how highly rated he is, he does not begin his college football career as a starter. Coach Saban wants them to learn the PROCESS. I heard Bryce mention that he was surprised that he would not start. He spent his first year as a backup learning from Mac and the other players and coaches. Not only will he make a great NFL QB he will be able to lead others to success.
