    • @jimbrown341
      @jimbrown341 4 года назад +13

      I don't think that's a good comparison. Devonta Smith 175lbs soaking wet. He's also way faster than Marvin Harrison was. To me, his NFL comparison is DeSean Jackson. Super skinny, blazing top speed, etc. Having said that... I really don't like his build. He looks like the sort of guy who will be on the injury list a lot. Taking hits from grown men, I don't know how his body will hold up. Not many people throughout NFL's history with a build that slender that have succeeded at a high level without sustaining a bunch of injuries. Availability is one of the most important attributes to a player.... Saquon Barkley constantly on IR is no good.

    • @gdo3510
      @gdo3510 4 года назад +5

      @@jimbrown341 the way he moves is very similar to DeSean Jackson. Good call. Not sure if he’s got the top end speed of Jackson and he’s also not way faster than Marvin Harrison. He might be faster at a top speed but Harrison was no slouch and extremely quick, but I guess we will see how he does at the combine. He certainly doesn’t have too many problems beating deep. I’m not as concerned as you about his build, and if you’re smart you can avoid big hits.

      I agree, Joe. He knows how to get open, and he's got great hands, BUT most of the time, he gets taken down almost immediately. Lamar Jackson could teach him a thing or two about avoiding tackles. Devonta makes not-so-great decisions when it comes to where he should run with the ball (to avoid tackles).

      Honestly, I think Olave is a better receiver. I watched this video and Olave has much better plays, think he wasn't in the running because of their shortened season. Sermon is showing how great he can be by running over 320 yards in a single game, and Fields is extremely capable as shown be his Clemson performance. Might be a bit biased because I'm an OSU fan, but both teams are pretty nasty.
