    You break the Bible down in simple ways that help to understand what is written in a truthful manner. Thank you. I appreciate the straightforward explanation without embellishing or omission of the Word.

    Extremely interesting Pastor. You presented several thoughts I had not considered. Thank you for the opportunity to hear the Word and giving much to ponder. I must listen several more times because there is so much. I was told that if we, as followers of Christ, will believe the book of Genesis, then the rest is gravy! 😁

    Pastor David, great series on Genesis! Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together in such a clear, concise and easy to understand format. I found them incredibly informative and uplifting with the various tie ins from the New Testament. I found your channel on recommendation from Mike Winger and your church history series, which was also GREAT. I’m looking forward to more of your videos. Thank you!

    "A mother is only as happy as her most miserable child." This is so very true. I am living this out now. I had never really connected this fact to the fall. Also, I had generally limited that particular curse (bringing forth children in pain) to child birth. But no matter how young or old your children, this is so very true - a mother is only as happy as her most miserable child no matter how successful her other children might be.
    Also, i know so many wonderful women in my circle of friends whose hearts' desire and yearning are to marry and have a family. But they are having an exceptionally difficult time finding good and Godly men who want the same. It is a desire that I do not really see in men, except on extremely rare occasions.

    Question: when I compare the description of the flaming sword guarding the tree of life to Exodus 3, the Bush in the midst of a flame, I wonder if they are the same thing 🤔?

      Hi. They’re not. No one has been to the garden of Eden since.
      The flaming sword and Cherubims guard the tree of life. Not burn it. The burning bush was there to get Moses’ attention when pre incarnate Jesus appeared to him.

    There's no one named Eve in the Garden story. There is only ha isha. The woman iz not named until the end of the chapter.

    I note that the word sin is nowhere in Genesis 3. Are you not reading a Protestant hamartiology into this text? Sure seems like it.

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  12 дней назад +1

      Pastor Lance replies - You are the first person I've ever encountered who does not see that the first sin is recorded in Genesis 3. This is standard, historic, orthodox theology going back 2000 years. Even before that with Jewish theology. Therefore, to call it "Protestant" is misleading.

      @@DavidGuzikEnduringWord You misunderstand my comment. It was a sin. How do you find that word, I would like to know.
