Another great song written By Prince
Didn't even know there had been a music video to this. Great live performance. Always loved this song, although its title makes no sense at all.
OH MY GOSH!! I haven't seen this video on RUclips in ages! I remember watching it on here only 9 and a half years ago, after that I never saw it again because it was removed during that same year. When I watched this video online years ago, it was played by MTV, it even had the artist, song, album, and record label music video captions on it, those were the days. Thank you for uploading this, keep up the good work!
+musiclover4ever Do you know if this was the actual music video, or was it a live performance (or live performance used as the music video)?
+ohnoitisnathan66 This was without a doubt a live performance used as a music video. MTV was known to do something like that with most artists back in the day.
+musiclover4ever Kind of like Cyndi Lauper's 'Money Changes Everything' using a live performance as the 'video'? So this single didn't get a 'proper' music video made for it?
+ohnoitisnathan66 I'm afraid not.
Sheila E. and the E Street Band
E Street Band played with Bruce Springsteen. The band featured is Prince’s band.
Very good quality. Thanks for sharing this video (which I've never seen before btw)
ohnoitisnathan66 thanx so much
The Belle Of St Mark from the lp "The Glamorous Life" (1984).
This shit rips so hard I love you Sheila
Great 👍
🔥
Sheila E, siempre bella y talentosa!!
Prince put The Revolution through extra choreo rehearsal during the Purple Rain tour because support act Sheila E and her band were outperforming them 💙
Never heard this before.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! If I have you close to me, I probably wanna kiss you!
🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
Never heard this version....👍🎷😋...I am sure Prince has his version laying around....
desde sevilla saludos a todos grannnnde sheila muchos recuerdos gracias
Never saw this! I know it's not the album version, and I know Sheila does amazing live, but this almost sounds too good to be live! But maybe it is???
I agree, it sounds too good to be live! But seems to be so. I prefer it to the actual studio version.
@@ohnoitisnathan6614 I wonder if it's a mix of some tracks and live instruments. The vocals and harmonies sound too perfect for live. Even the mix in general sounds too clean to be a live recording.
@@ohnoitisnathan6614 I"m also not sure the drum program coudl be done live
@@Turnip3 prince tech guys figured that out
is this really the original live vocals?.......
guy at 2:19 didnt want to let her go and i don't blame him lol
The guy at 2:19 was Mike Weaver III.
Incredible Guitarist/Virtuoso!!!
He's now residing in Ibiza, Spain as a DJ and street Musician doing fairly well for himself!
He left the States after the Lovesrxy Tour with Prince after an altercation between them.
He ended up in a few European countries for a little bit working on some musical projects and kinds disappeared from The Lime Light.

Mico Weaver
I always laugh at these performances. You know it’s mostly piped in except for the sax and drum solos.
I betchu guys don’t even know what “The Belle” of St. Mark really means…I do.
