According to the December 2000 design document, Claude was supposed to have a few speaking lines of dialogue in a few missions. The "Get out of the car!" line from the previous game in the February 2001 trailer was either: a) in the game at some point or b) was added in post (like in the German trailer)

I just like the simplicity of the games of 2000s, now we have Red Dead Redemption 2 with 10 hours of dialogue and cutscenes. A videogame should be fun.
It was a very innovative experience at the time, specially jumping from GTA2 to 3, from the PlayStation onwards to the PlayStation 2, but it has aged, it's primitive by today's standards, and finding hardware that will play it natively will fade more and more over the times, even with patches and mods, we are in the middle of an industry-wide architecture change in many personal computers, and not to mention that the Definitive edition made the situation worst. Great game experience for the time (From somebody who actually had it from the shrinkwrapped case and new console when it was a thing and new at the time), but it's anything but glorious now tbh. Maybe watched a few full playthroughs and played a tiny chunk of it some recent years back, but I would never use my time to play it again fully or regularly, or w/e, not because it was bad or anything; it was amazing, because times moved on, the gaming world is very different now and time allocation is directed differently now.
@@melancholic6457 still have a shrink wrapped copy of this that is unopened. I also had vice city and san andreas the same way but couldn't hold in the temptation to open them, ended up opening and playing them lol!
Time allocation? How much different are things in that regard? I swear people have always been oppressed and obligated to work a lot of hours, I think you just grew up haha It honestly just sounds like you don't want to play it anymore but its understandable why
This game was a huge step for Rockstar, and the gaming industry really deserves all this buzz, but sadly, Rockstar has aboundend it like all their games, but it is still one of the best games in my opinion ❤

IGN never could play games.
0:54 is this the road near the police station on Staunton island? I found the building on the left but the rest looks vastly different.
4:46 should of kept that damaged engine smoke style, it was similar to gta iv 😂
Looks like the car handling was good from the get go not much changed in the footage besides the beta models themselves. I still really like GTA3 driving physics they flow fast and are alot of fun.
All the 3d era games driving physics are super fun.
That's right, a lot better than gta 5 imo
The handling is very arcade like and that makes it super fun to drive. From what I’ve seen in BTS stuff for GTA 3, It looks like a lot of the content that was a pain to program and debug was Claude on foot. If you look around, you can find people playing with the dev kits on this game. Gives somewhat of an idea of what the development was like.
@@Norbert011 What?!
Wait, Claude first word's in 2001 " Get out the car! " Do you hear guys?
You didn't watch the trailer?
Fake, Rockstar admitted, that part is a clickbait.
@@Alpha_demon12 I watched a GTA III Theories and Answers video and this came on the video, the creator searched it up, and found and answer from Rockstar saying its fake.
@@dragosstoian5326
this clip is not fake.
I have the original teaser on CD from a german Gaming Magazine "Games Aktuell, Cynamite" and he said that BUT it's not claude... it's a Soundbit from GTA 2 from the red car thief. This trailer feating fake sounds over the footages... like John Bunnels "World Wildest Polices Chases" TV Series where they add sounds to put action into it!
Facts:
- That Rockstar Dude lies!
- The clip is from Rockstar with GTA sounds
- that "Get out the car!" is from the car thief with the green t shirt in GTA 2
- Rockstar had no plans that Claude would speak
Please don't use the source of the rockstar dude which says it's fake, because it's not true!
@@Dave_Albrightso its fake?
I wish i could get back to that era of video games.
GTA 3 was something magical and never before experience only those played it for first time can get the feelings, an open world 3D map with freedom to go anywhere and do anything ,it was something i could only dream off.
This set the foundation of MODERN open world genre.

Thx 4 sharing this bro.
GTA III is my favorite GTA game ever, and THE BEST GTA GAME EVER ❤
Change my mind.
22years later we still in Gta 5
According to the December 2000 design document, Claude was supposed to have a few speaking lines of dialogue in a few missions. The "Get out of the car!" line from the previous game in the February 2001 trailer was either:
a) in the game at some point
or b) was added in post (like in the German trailer)
tf did u get dis info from. it was literally the npc that said it, the entire soundbank was ported from GTA 2, it was placeholders before they got actors and licenses (or free) for stock sounds
@@AKASH_TN If you don't know, there's a video about the GTAIII design document on YT, and if memory serves, the early script had lines for Claude before he was made mute like we know him today. But you're right that the game temporarily used sound effects from GTA2.
That line was added in post
IIRC it's from GTA2
@@Flawcreek You are 100% correct, it was definitely added in post.
It´s sooo crazy where we are now 20 years later in game development. Now I gotta ask: Is this real or not?
Well you don’t have to take my word for it but yes all of these promotions of beta content are real. They were all passed around and the dates on each promo is accurate.
@@gameroftheyear1000 No bro🤣 That's not what I wanted to say. I meant that today's games are so realistic.
And sometimes I gotta ask myself: "How are such amazing graphics even possible?"

@ 12:20 Is it just the lighting or is the LCPD car colour already changed to be much darker pre-September?
there's a funny fact, in this minute you wrote there's a voice underneath that shouts "testa di minchia" with a Sicilian accent which means "d*ckhead" in 🇮🇹 and I had never noticed when playing it
thats the lighting, you can see the blue

Nope. The game was developed in UK, DMA Design aka Rockstar North.
no but they did the other games at Broadway, it was very close to OWTC

I recognize that IV ringtone
0:34 Wait.. Did Claude Talk?
Si, pero es un audio de gta 1 o 2.
It’s from gta 2 and no real voice Claude
it's an edited version of the trailer, for some reason it's more used than the actual trailer and Rockstar actually said themselves that they never planned to make Claude talk nor did they know how to make a voiced protagonist then
@@dra-dragonix1406 Its not edited! They have included this video in their E3 2001 Promotional Disc - it is made 100% by Rockstar Games. The DVD was distributed at E3 to people who requested. It's so easy to change your mind that I will not even attempt to.
nope the GOAT is GTA 4
@@grizzWasTaken GTA 4 is great but the pc port is shit
I just like the simplicity of the games of 2000s, now we have Red Dead Redemption 2 with 10 hours of dialogue and cutscenes. A videogame should be fun.
@@grizzWasTakenTHANK YOU!
I swear people have always been oppressed and obligated to work a lot of hours, I think you just grew up haha
It honestly just sounds like you don't want to play it anymore but its understandable why
Essa provavelmente é a versão Dreamcast...
