I used to think that the stripes were out of control expensive but now that he explains it I kind of get it. To pay someone who really knows their craft to paint a car, 10 grand isn't unheard of, and something like a long racing stripe is going to be a lot of layout and extra masking. It's almost like 2 paint jobs at that point. I still wouldn't pay for it myself, but that's mostly because I'm not super into stripes or flames or any kind of two tone designs on paint jobs. I like all one color with gray, silver or black wheels and vents.
With those amazing painted strips. I would drive it sparingly until those strips and the overall car is protected. It's amazing how many rock chips happen especially when driving on the interstate behind large trucks. After seeing the quality and considering the prep work required to install the strips. It's easier to understand the cost. They are a seem less part of the paint. It would be hard to spend an extra $10,000, but after seeing them on your actual car. I can understand the cost involved in adding them. Your CFTP Shelby GT500 is a truly rare and collectable Mustang.

As a painter I absolutely loath painted stripes lol. Not only the painstaking process of laying them out. But painting it, resanding and reclearing at least once if not more to level the lines. Its an insane amount of labor and extra materials
Nothing against the DCT transmission, its bad ass in its own right. But there's nothing like the drivers experience of standard Transmission. Even if its slower somehow a standard Trans makes seem so much more fun and faster from the drivers standpoint. 😊

Yep you need to get protective film on your car. My car being a high way daily driven 19 mustang gt, it has rock chips all on the hood 😢 😭. Too poor to shell out 4k for just a paint protection clear film lol. That’s half the price of a supercharger shoot.
See this whole video explains why even if I did have the money I wouldn't buy any exotic or expensive sports car. He's worried about every little thing and rightfully so. That car's worth a lot of money.

Ok.... so I have a question for you. I just bought a 2019 Gt350R because I’m sorry, sports cars should have three pedals.(IMO). Is the new GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack worth the extra $33,000?
I understand the authenticity component of the $10,000 strips BUT I personally would never do it. I have vinyl mat black stripes on my GT500 and could care less. I can change it up whenever I want and chip it without concern. It's a little inconvenient when detailing but 99.9999% of time I'm quick detailing so that's irrelevant. Long story short, I'd put the 10k into the drivetrain or save it for new cup tires after your first few track days.
hey @speedphenom I have seen you drag race your previous gt 500 and I have heard people saying that there is a 1 sec delay in launch control and many people get shitty darg tine but you manage to do it in the right time and got a record breaking time. How do you do it?
@@SpeedPhenom Just pick something you like or think will fit, up to your taste and licking. You can even pick some performance wheels so even if you don't have the CF you can still get a good feeling from them as they are still performance worthy and capable, light and easy and durable, much more comfortable with hitting a few bumps if it happens that is.
💥😞 Why does the right stripe from front of hood to hood vent look off centre...? It doesn't seem to line up with the bottom of the hood vent.. I've noticed it in 2 videos now..
I think you might be seeing things bro, i keep rewinding and rewatching, nothing wrong with it, even the guys in the video compliment how good it is, you just be watching it from a weird angle and getting a weird illusion of your vision to the angle of it, tends to happen. Overall seems fine to me 4:08 and onward as an example, it looks great.
I don’t believe ppf is a mod lol, get yourself a resonator delete and jlt cold air intake, just got it done on my dads 2020 gt500 made a huge difference

I recall Leno putting PPF or some clear protectant on a McLaren. Probably illegal here in Ca but I would probably do it or at least prefer to do it.
Yes, I think he did PPF it actually... Certainly wouldn't want any damage on a P1! Perfectly legal here in Cali, which is where this video was shot.
