Beating Prime/Consort Radahn with Sekiro Build (Elden Ring)

- Using a build based off Wolf to beat Promised Consort Radahn.
The build was:
Level 150 Scadutree level 16
Ronin's Armor, Dryleaf Armwraps, and Bullgoat Greaves
Heavy Uchigatana with Quickstep
Talismans were Dragoncrest Greatshield, Golden Braid, Two-Handed Sword Talisman, and Curved Sword Talisman
Consumable was Pickled Turtle neck for when greenburst ran out
Physick had Deflecting Hardtear and Greenburst Crystal tear for extra stamina regen
Nah he parried a nuke
Hilariously, it’s actually a consistent strategy thanks to that high pitched sound queue about a second before the explosion.

God I love the deflecting hardtear.
This video deserves way more views. Love the hair/armor to look like wolf, and the use of quickstep. Deflect on this fight is way more fun than dodge.
The armor does look kind of like Wolf’s outfit.
You know what could've made the cosplay even more fitting? Equip Rakshasa's Great Katana at the back when you two-handing Uchigatana. It's like Mortal Blade. Rivers of Blood is also good but great katana being bigger and longer just like Mortal Blade is to Kusabimaru.

All this time & I never realised that standing directly under Radahn is the safe zone against that holy pillars AOE attack.... Could've save me a lot of trouble on this guy...

for anyone curious, you unlock 'sekiro mode' by getting the deflect tear which is dropped by the first wickerman you see in the dlc

when deflecting all 3 hits of cross-slash, did you ever get knocked back at times? It seemed inconsistent for me where sometimes I got knocked back after deflecting and sometimes I was able to stay standing and Guard Counter.

You mean when you get sent into the roll animation after deflecting? Yeah that would happen to me, it seemed to happen when I slightly mistimed the parry.

I fully tested this. You get knocked back when you have some distance from him, after the 2 slashes, walk towards him almost to the point of touching, and deflect the last attack. You will NEVER be knocked back then

I recently beat him with an owl (owl, the boss from sekiro) cosplay, the deflecting hardtear is so much fun

@@spectre_9 When you two-hand it you get the 1.5x str multiplier... so even though he only has 66 in str, it's equivalent of 99. A lot more damage at level 150 than keen affinity @ 66 dex with same A scaling.

You get decent scaling on the weapon, plus the 1.5x modifier from two handing it: it's a viable strat even without the busted two-handed sword talisman/deflecting hardtear combo you pick up in the DLC.

Can I still do this without the bull-goat greaves? I accidentally killed patches this time and I’m not sure if poise has anything to do with deflecting hard tear or avoiding stance breakage

My buddy is playing the DLC right now. He is having trouble with Radahn.
He swears the guys making videos on how to fight him are doctoring the vids. He said it is impossible the way they fight him and dont get hit

Things that should be modified in a future From game. That the weapon you block with has 100% blocking, but that it degrades faster or breaks if it blocks a more powerful weapon.

Can someone please explain deflecting tear to me. Very confused with how it exactly works, u can’t just hold guard right?
Hit block right before the attack connects like a parry
it lasts 5mins, you time your blocks right before an attack hits by tapping guard and not holding, you will hear a sound que when done correctly. It also increases guard counter dmg up to 80%. You increase the dmg by deflecting more attacks before using guard counter. 1 deflect is +20%, some heavy attacks count as 2 deflects.
@@yeid44 gotcha, but that damage bonus doesn’t last right? Only a couple seconds?
@@steezy_33 it only affects guard counters so it should last the small window you get after deflecting to do a guard counter. Some strong attacks push you back and lock you in an animation, you still can do guard counters after the animation is finished. However, you get pushed back quite a bit so most weapons guard counters won't reach the attacker. Some weapons give forward momentum when you guard counter combined with good range it should reach consistently. I have a build in mind centered around this, I'll be trying it out soon.

What did you do at 1:10 did you hide under him or are you able to deflect it?
Surprisingly, the orbital laser doesn't deal too much damage if you block it. I've seen with the chicken leg colossal weapon and a shield deal about the same damage as in the video when blocking. He also parried the last nuke but it doesn't look like the first one was parried.

Hello!, I have tried this build, but something is wrong, it doesn't parry with the katana to counterattack, what could it be?
If you're using the deflect hardtear in your physick then the katana parries will work as long as you're deflecting the enemy's attacks at the right timing. The counterattack after is called a guard counter, it's done by pressing heavy attack immediately after a successful deflect .

Is this a mod? How does your katana have 100% physical damage negation and how do you have enough poise/shielding power with a katana to block like you're using moore's shield?
Deflecting hardtear, you need to kill the first furnace golem you encounter in the dlc(starting zone)

@@ardavila_it's 5min duration and yes the timing is pretty fogiving for the base parry but for the perfect parry the timing is tight but match fair with bosses animation

Use the Deflecting Hardtear in your Flask of Wondrous Physick. If you don't have it, just look up where to get it. First furnace golem in the DLC. Press block just before an attack and you can deflect with it
@OzzyBlazeGaming deflecting only?! I will search this item and other solution to reduce damage on blocking position.
