I just found your channel & subscribed half way through watching it. Absolutely brilliant video & content, loved every minute of it & really appreciate the work that went into it. Thanks again 🥰🥂🎉 PS: you guys are the best on YT for cruise videos!!!
I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing from the various RUclips channels showing actual cruises on here - my first impressions from photos of the press launch was that the ship didn't have a huge amount of character, and the inside cabins felt really small due to the dark colours. However, I do think I take it back - that room looks lovely, and the ship overall looks wonderful!
Yeah, we really like Anne. We've been on the others and this one is different, but in a good way. Many loyal Cunarders we spoke to had fallen in love with her too :) Get booking!
You find this with most large mainstream ships now. But there is enough of a gap so if you don’t want to be social you don’t need to be. We tend to find we get talking to the table next to us and if we get along, we look forward to speaking the next night. But totally optional - if you want to keep to yourselves that’s fine too.
@@CruiseMonkeysoh darling you guys are not carrying any extra cargo That would be a hellish squeeze for me not to mention embarrassing I would not be able to eat at that table
So nice to see the ship as you walking (or staggering) through it rather than just a camera Ponting at parts. We are warming to her now, but was shocked not to see Captain Inga as Captain.... hope she is on board when we are on Anne in October, she is such a lovely Lady and probably having a well earned break. Nice to see you back on form, Gavin looked absolutely blotto on the bed at the end. 🍷🍷🤣❤
Haha, we do like to keep it read. We were gutted she was not on the ship this time, but guess she’s got to have leave after being on it in the ship yard too 🤣
This looks great guys, I’m really up for trying Cunard. Also love when there is a usb on the phone. On an Indy cruise a few years ago I had some shoes with LEDs in and used to charge my shoes off the phone 😂😂
Looking forward to the rest of the series, we're just back from our 3 night taster and fascinated to see how your impressions compare with ours. We were very impressed with the quality of the food in the Britannia MDR, especially after the negative reviews from the maiden sailing. Still room for improvement when it comes to service, particularly on gala nights when the staff seemed overwhelmed with the numbers arriving at peak time.
Thanks both for this look at boarding Queen Anne, all looking great, plenty of space in inside cabin, did you have any proble.s with food in restaurants being cold ?.
Is anyone gonna tell them they waved the Swedish flag at sailaway? Also, I love when just when you think they're too sloshed to carry on, they end up partying for another couple of hours and then manage to stay awake for room service too - they're my effing heroes!
Oh dear ones major claustrophobia the room and your table in Britannia Room would not be good for me but the food looked lovely the cheese plate seems better than the QM 2 Interesting you and Gavin showed that there is a comfortable variance in dining attire Love you guys in your tuxedos but cool that jacket or dress shirt are equally acceptable ❤
Lads would you say it’s family friendly? We were about to book it after Ben & David’s superb review but then we noticed in the Facebook group the clientele were very posh/nasty.
Ohhh do ignore the Facebook groups, they do seem to attract a certain type of person. Onboard we’ve never experienced any of that. Regarding families - it won’t have as much going on as P&O, msc or royal but they do have a kids club. It probably wouldn’t be our first choice if taking our nieces and nephews on a cruise.
You don’t need to wear one when a casual dress code applies. Cunard have updated their dress code it’s not as formal as it used to be. Queen Anne is very much different to her fleet mates a lot more modern and a bit more relaxed in that sense.
I'm sorry, but interior staterooms are horrific! I booked one only once and can honestly say that it just about ruined the entire cruise for us. Awful experience! Never knowing what the weather was like, or seeing the sun when you woke up in the morning, or being able to open the door to fabulous sea air was so unappealing. There was no excitement or comfort to returning to your cabin. If someone offered me a free cruise in an interior room, I would decline.
We don’t mind them, would always prefer a balcony but we spend so little time in the room it’s doesn’t matter to us, but that’s just us. Know many people will only do balcony cabins, after all you have to enjoy your holiday so worth getting what you want.
@@garymiller9468 I agree and also find that entitled princess as annoying as you clearly do. I’ve had balconies and insides too and find the extra ‘grand’ (and sometimes more) to sit on a balcony pretty ridiculous. The crucial point of this cruise is that it’s June 23-30 and at that time of year most of Norway is in perpetual daylight so I would have booked an inside cabin and refused an upgrade even if one was forthcoming.
I feel exactly the same I wouldn’t cruise inside cabin. We are trying a clear view outside cabin on Queen Anne next year to cut costs a little. Got to try.
The restaurant looks clostephobic....low ceiling...people squashed in...mmmmm food looked good..not wow...old school...oldies in suits..plus a tinkley piano....plenty of bubbles needed to sleep in the cupboard...inside cabin...have fun
Ohhh never felt claustrophobic but our tip would be to check out your table on adding day afternoon and ask for an alternative if it not any good, they may be able to move you. Our cupboard was a third of the price of a balcony.

Great start to a new series. You're obviously getting recognised, they know what your favourites are now lol
Hahahaha - not sure if that’s good thing 😂
Ahh the lovely Blake on the piano in Commodore Club 🙂
Indeed it is! Had a lovely chat to him too.
If I was offered that dining table I would walk off. You are practically eating the next door neighbours dinner.
It’s no different than most other ships these days. Totally understand where you’re coming from though.

Glad you asked I wondered why Captain Inger wasn’t there
I've just arrived home today from visiting Norway onboard QM2. Miss it already.
hope you had a wonderful time!

Anne is a great ship! Haha, love it!
How do you eat so much food?????? lol Love the vid!
We’re on constant diets at home 🤣🤣 Glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Haha I can tell you were on the full Monty drinks package. Glad to see you getting your money’s worth 😂
🥂

Hope you enjoy it! We definitely think things have improved from what we’d heard at the start. 😀
Did you have noise issues from the deck above?. Thanks.
Yea, the night club above - didn’t bother us until we wanted an early night. Think we cover it in the cabin tour and the latest episode.
Thanks both for this look at boarding Queen Anne, all looking great, plenty of space in inside cabin, did you have any proble.s with food in restaurants being cold ?.
Fantastic cruise! No food hot, service good! Think they’ve ironed out the original issues now as it had been about 3 cruises before us
Love the intro music
Thank you!
seriously nice porcelain dinner plates
They were very nice!
Ceilings look low or maybe just as it’s shiny 😂
Great can you tell us where you can get the big yellow hand thanks
We’re looking to get some for our shop - think this was Amazon.
Are you leaving from Southampton?
Yes this cruise departed from Southampton.
Is anyone gonna tell them they waved the Swedish flag at sailaway? Also, I love when just when you think they're too sloshed to carry on, they end up partying for another couple of hours and then manage to stay awake for room service too - they're my effing heroes!
It’s a Pembrokeshire flag 😉😂
@@CruiseMonkeys I'm so embarrassed rn🤦♂️ Love from South Africa to Wales, have the best time!❤️

Ohhh it didn’t feel claustrophobic to be honest! We enjoy dressing up in our tuxedos 🥰

Did you send this out as a members only as if you did I didn't get it. ?
Hi, yes, it should have been on the ‘community’ tab about 4 days ago, the cover will be different but it’s an Ad free version
I’ll bet you didn’t get up very early the next day!😂
Watch next weeks to find out! We’re full of surprises!
Gavin where’s your jacket?
You don’t need to wear one when a casual dress code applies. Cunard have updated their dress code it’s not as formal as it used to be.
Queen Anne is very much different to her fleet mates a lot more modern and a bit more relaxed in that sense.
Thanks Dan! 👍

No issues with interior cabins at all. I do have issues with certain passengers thinking they're above others though.
