- Drew and Tee are visiting Gilmerton House, which is owned by Sir David Kinloch who wants to give some of the antiques from the house a new home where they will be saved and have a new life.

Don't you just love the beauty and the history of English manor houses so glad they have been preserved as is buy the owners.
This house is Scottish, because its in Scotland. Scotland isn't in England. "Manor House" is an English term. Scotland doesn't have manors.

Well! First time I have seen Drew driving! I wasn’t sure he knew how. A chance for a Tee to rest.
Wish the clips were longer than 7 mins. And would have really liked to see the kitchen after Drew restored it

It’s crazy how much money these old bits of furniture bring. £1,800 for a kitchen table, once restored, is a lot of dang money for just one table.
I agree with I Dig Ohio in which I wish my family had stayed in Italy. What treasures there, right? along with a great aunt who was a Baroness,....did they live in a castle? Who knows?? Anyway, great finds, love Drew and his gorgeous treasures!
Drew is driving. Nice to see him in charge, he fits the part. T does a great job taking charge in general of course. Plus T has a cool job and gets to be on TV and see all these places in person. Both have a lot going for them. Nice to focus on the good things we get to see in their travels and work days. Thank you for sharing, excellent vids. Some of this stuff I've never seen the likes of in my life. So enriching to see the history and evolution of stuff people make & buy.

I've seen a number of episodes where Drew passes on paper posters, etc because the bottoms were frayed/damaged. As purely decorative items, it seems he could have the frayed bottoms trimmed off & have a fabric strip border (or another material) attached across the entire bottom to give the item a more clean look. He could also have the items mounted as is or with the damage trimmed, and placed within a frame with a surrounding mat that hides the damaged/trimmed bottom.
I wouldn't let him near my precious house however hard up i was. Hell only flog it abroad.

Not everything old is worth it, plenty of second rate things were also produced in the past. People today tend to overate anything old they own.

It is frustrating that Drew insists on complete originality of items, but has less worry about altering items himself for increased price. I have n problem at all with Drew’s buying prices because he has a business overhead as well as paying his fabulous restorers! But if the item was already restored . . .

Nope - he's paying fair prices, about a third to a half of what he can sell them for retail. And that difference goes to pay Tee's wages, and his staff's wages, rent, website etc. I love it how Wolshanze1944 and other envious people think that Drew's employees should work for nothing. Buy anything from your local Walmart or Tesco and I guarantee that what you pay is more than what they paid for it - are they cheats as well? That's a serious question. In this case, he's buying from a trader who knows what these items are worth, so how is that being a "con man"?
I absolutely hate these 9-minute videos they should be full length it's so stupid to only put 9 Minutes of the whole show I think I'm going to unsubscribe
