aw so happy that you were kind/respectful/generous with the old hoarder man and gave him more than asking for those lights. that was the right thing to do.
They say they collect the cars and bits and bobs because they love them. Love them so much you destroy them through neglect? It takes a very strange mind to think that's love.
You see rot and chaos, they see the items through the eyes of the beholders and see past the rust. It's NOT a question of money and owning something nice and shiny. It's a question of having things you enjoy around you in your everyday life, but few and far between are the people who can understand that. Its all a testimony to what WAS and a great big finger to what IS.
Hopefully the 2nd hoarder has no children that are going to have to deal with that mess. What's the point of an "Investment hoarder" if you don't sell any of it?
Tite by name, tite by nature. Saw that one coming. My father has hoarded for decades and sadly has alzheimers. The one thing he remembers is he doesn't want to part with anything. It's a struggle.
Drews professionalism, integrity and business acumen override being rude or abrupt to any potential customer. A great reputation is everything in business and Drew obviously knows this and doesn't let the odd time waster get to him.
In Malaysia you can sell that for £2k or more as there's a craze here for vintage bikes and the clubs are big with thousands of members with same model.
Hoarders suffer from a form of mental sickness; they aren't interested in restoration work at all. Most of these pensioners, blighted by old age and bad judgement, will die amid piles of rust-covered refuse which had been denied opportunity to survive and provide a few more years of service. My guess is that surviving relatives will enlist the help of bull-dozers and swing-balls to rid these properties of the junk-litter that was considered 'treasure' by these misguided fools; fools who consider a rusting car body or wrought-iron gate as a national archive. Oh, the folly of man!
Hey who are you calling a misguided fool? I'm a hoarder and am making $1000s from all the things I find and collect. Stop passing bad judgement upon hoarders because you don't know their situation. Not all collect rusty junk. I know hoarders who have amassed tons of money and treasure hunting is a fun profitable hobby. I'm also a dump digger and it's unreal all the free stuff I find. It's the thrill of the hunt. Yesterday's trash is today's treasure.
Not all hoarders have a mental illness some like Mr Tite may have some sentimental attachment or possibly remind him of his childhood, if he was a true hoarder he wouldn't part with anything. His collection will die exactly where they should with the owner who has every right to do with them as he will. Some people like to have loved ones surrounding them when they die, and some like to go with their loved ones, and loved possessions around them too 😊

Once again, Drew prevailed with the hoarders. Yay for the folks that bought items. Great to see Enzo posing, what a star.
I like the fact that you came up on those lamps, it says alot about your character, much respect to you sir.
*random ominous creaking* "There's a werewolf next door." Haha! I come for the antiques and stay for the humor, every time
love watching you guys love seeing all the old stuff you guys find
The delivery bike reminds me of Open all Hours. The house with wall paintings amazing history.

It amazes me that people hoard all that stuff and won’t take good money for it! You can’t take it to the grave with you..
Salvage Hunters is the non obnoxious, superior and British version of what American Pickers but of course way better 😉
I agree! I find their civility to be a refreshing contrast!
Clive could probably get a grant from the National Trust for the restoration.
Funny that some people commenting don't realize this is a TV show.
Drew must pay his employees well to put up with him.
I think it's the other way around.
I suspect the hoarders know every single item they have.
Beautiful and very beautiful show. I wish you health, peace, success and progress in your wonderful work. Greetings to all .
Greetings from C.D. Taylor, of New Castle, Delaware, USA 🇺🇸

Why does Drew put up with this type of person. I feel they just want to be on TV.
Because, you don't talk bad in business
