Here in the U.S., there is a popular TV show called American Pickers. After watching Salvage Hunters, I can no longer watch American Pickers. They pick junk. On the other hand, I watch each episode of Salvage Hunters/Restorers at least three time and take notes. I build reproduction Industrial Age Furniture so when Drew makes a casual observation about a draw pull, or a construction method, etc., I file the info and incorporate it in my pieces. I am now going to redesign a set rolling tool cabinets in order to conform with Drews vision for furniture of that period.
Hello 👋 I’m new to your channel and I have been binge watching you folks on my TV. I thought I would go ahead and subscribe if only to tell you all how much I enjoy your show. I am an old school sign painter from the U.S. I also do sign restoration and a history buff. I had to give a shout out even though I know how busy everyone is I am already a huge fan. Having retired from running the last actual store I can now focus on the art of my trade and my goodness what an inspiration this has been. Cheers to all Lori
Enjoyed this episode, first Seller was funny and creative. Cool that Drew and T dressed and played around. That Beatle was fab. I’ve had a Karman Gia , and Red Super Beatle, rooftop. So I can relate to Drew’s love of VW, s.
I'M SUPER EXCITED FOR YOU DREW! 🎈🎈🎈You deserve to have this dream come true. Living in California, I'm on my second VW...... & I love it! Enjoy....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fun episode! Loved the Seussical hat and the bowlers. Cars are not my thing but I did enjoy seeing the cows and sheep on the way. And that little leather chair was just so Juliet! It must be great to have both the eye and the superb restorers.
My father had a 1968 Beetle he purchased new after him and my mother divorced, after I came back to live with him and my stepmother I Loved that car, so much fun it was.
OMG why did Drew reject that room? Almost everything in the VW shop room of mid century style furniture would have sold easily in the USA. A lot of that is exactly what I am looking for especially the molded plywood.
Love this programme, always have, but the naff camera angles (Drew looking through a piece of glass) and the silly bits are gradually moving it towards a caricature itself. Why do the producers feel that this necessary?
Excuse the expression, but I think it applies here: cars look retarded when you lower them and fit smaller wheels. I’m guessing Drew is having the Beetle returned to its original state.
Lol. Taking advantage of the punters as usual. Taking lowball offers because thie customer is unaware of the value of the product seems to be Drew's specialty. If the client offers you a very low price because they have no clue how value it is, tell them it's too low and then offer them a fair price. Taking advantage of your customer because they are ignorant, is deceitful and unethical.
David this is a business Sir. Maybe the seller should have held up and checked on what the going price was. No need to be rude. It makes you look a little off your rocker Hon. I’m sure Drew has over paid along the way. Chin up.
Drew corrects offers upwards when he is dealing with homeowners, and gives them more than they ask. He doesn't do this with dealers who are supposed to know the value of what they have.

I agree with you Jerry. The English shows just have such character and charm about them.
Well done.....

A beautiful and very impressive presentation. I wish you success in your work and success. Accept my greetings.
I love the Cat in the Hat Hat. Too bad Drew is too posh to try it.
Let’s hope the cork castle is a model of a castle in Cork.
Oh, and it would of course be worth nothing without the case. Funny how that works.
The leather and studs chair looks like the one Queen Mary used.

V. W. Congratulations Ted U. S. A.
I can't believe how low that car is to the ground. Three inches or less! It must be scraping every time he drives it.

lol that's why I make so much money with my american clients. here in Europe this wouldn't sell
why did ya buy the bug, when they had a kharmann ghia?
Love to know where that cork castle went??

I am 58 & if there was ever a boxing match for charity I’d love to meet Drew in the ring. Mainly to pay back ripping people off.
How does he rip people off? Every business buys low and sells high - he runs a business that employs a bunch of people. It’s a business not a charity.

Sure whatever
I'd be circumspect in his vicinity.
