Yeah this price point is confusing to me. I guess GMC is just banking on people being so desperate to get something they'll make bad choices with their money.
An ICE version of this truck with no mid-gate, less HP, slower 0-60, no 4-wheel steering will set you back $80k. If you want a cheaper truck, you can get the Silverado EV or a lower spec Sierra EV. Hell, you can get a Cadillac Escalade for $80k to $150k. I guarantee most of the ones you see driving around the mall and in the suburbs are closer to $80k.

Awesome to hear the details. Would have loved to hear maybe a comparison to the Silverado EV, especially because traditionally the Sierra and Silverado have been nearly identical.
the sierra has always been a slightly nicer, more premium, more expensive silverado, and that seems like the case with the ev versions too. the sierra ev is just a silverado ev but with a more refined exterior and luxurious interior.
At this point, most EVs remind me of phone/computer reviews: review will say it's good or bad or whatever, but then using the product is a completely different thing altogether. I felt like the keyboard touch bar was terrible. Then I used it and I kinda like it!

The f150 lightning looks sleek but this looks even sexier! Very excited for the electric vehicle era, especially now that prices and range are starting to get really competitive with their gas counterparts
The midgate seems like it will bring the elements (that is rain, snow, et cetera) into the cab. Using to power a house is something that is important to keep your food cool and is a cool feature.
Pretty cool. Loving the way the GMC and the electric Silverado look. Would be amazing if they come out with a plug in/gas version that gets a decent EV miles.
My avalanche has the mid gate. Awesome feature. I don’t use it often but when I do, it’s amazing. Stretches the bed to 8ft without having the trunk gate opener.
I'm 6'4'' and drive a bolt. I'm dying for the Silverado to come out lol. I'm so excited for these vehicles and they recently announced that the Silverado will be able to power the house as well which for me is a big feature for where I live.
I am curious what the support for the truck will be when it breaks. I wonder what it will look like to get a tire change, collision support, battery replacement, parts in general, repair knowledge and etc.. Will GMC share repair info to non-dealer shops to work on their EVs?
Most GM dealerships at this point can service EVs, but for warranty work, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to go through a GM EV certified tech. In terms of parts, they are ramping up to a 600,000+ annual production rate for the Sierra EV + Silverado EV by 2025, so sourcing parts shouldn't be an issue at all.
@@newscoulomb3705 It’s hard at times to get the understanding on these things as there are a ton of people making videos fear mongering the horrible future of EVs. The way I see it, this is the price to pay for taking so long to get here. Over time it will likely get better.
@@Samus2564 Sure, a lot of people have fear of the unknown, but others are receiving financial benefits from spreading misinformation (e.g., referrals or stock investments). This truck looks really good. It also looks like a production version as opposed to the wild concept cars we often see. I'm guessing that it's so far out only because of tooling and production ramp up for such a different vehicle and sourcing the enormous batteries.
Wait till you check the price of insurance, then just go buy a low mileage gas truck, they don't mention that your mileage is cut in half in the winter running your heater.
Check out the Silverado ev. This gmc looks like a premium rebadge of the Silverado ev. The Silverado base line has most the same features, including 400 mile range, at just $40k
I find it interesting that GM has always made their gas/diesel trucks with the same interior and mostly identical body (i.e. the GMC and Chevy Trucks both owned by GM). So it's interesting that they have two separate ev's but branded under their two different companies that look so different from each other.
The Ultium EV platform makes this a lot easier to do than their ICE counterparts. Basically, you can spend on the time/money on interior and exterior design knowing the platform is just a matter of raiding the parts bin and some software tweaks. For ICE you had several engine/transmission combinations, emissions testing, plus you had to one up Ford and RAM in power, towing and efficiency. The reviewer talks about the lack of buttons, and it's done via software. What he doesn't realize is those buttons are just triggers for the software as well.

Cypto trading is one of the easiest way to get out of poverty if you know your way around it
I'm a newbie in Cypto and Btcoin and am holding some cyptocurrencies in my wallet but I'm scared of losing them due to the recent crash....
having professional mentor is also very important when it comes to trading, without proper mentorship, one tends to opt out of the market early enough. I do my investment with Mr Greg T. Martin fx...
My interest after hearing the specs and seeing the interior 📈
My interest after you said it has "crabwalk" rear wheel steering 📉
WOAH IM EARLY
WOAH THIS IS ACTUALLY GETTING LIKES

The Midgate existed a long time ago this is basically a modern day avalanche. Notice it's one solid piece from cab to bed like the Ridgeline
Nice work!
I just financed my first car back over the summer (‘22 Nissan Sentra) and now I can’t wait to sell it and buy this in a few years haha.
On the C pillar the little wing and the pass trough reminds me of my 2011 Escalade
Great reviews! Would love to see an electric bike/cargo-bike review on this channel 🚲🚲🚲
I want 27 inch wheels with super low pro tires please. Love the ride those thin sidewalls give!!!!
GM knocked it out of the park with this one. I love my sierra AT4 but definitely gonna need to get this when its time to move to full EV!
Kudos on your intro and recap. Very well delivered and communicated 👍🏽
I love a nice HUD. If they come out with a three-row SUV with most of the same feature set I might just be interested, I don't need a pickup truck but a big people carrier would be fantastic. I guess that would be the Yukon EV?
Looks pretty cool. Looking forward to its release.
Man is this channel thriving! At this rate Avg. views per video will be atleast 1m soon ! Congrats ! 👏🏻
The side view @1:06 has some Honda Ridgeline elements to it. Literally the first GMC vehicle I've actually liked the design.
I'm not a GM guy but I like this new upcoming EV. Well done GM
I love it! This thing is bad ass.
Damn, is that just a natural bokeh on the iPhone's main camera? That looks absolutely sick.
Yours reviews are always top notch!
But why is no one talking about the location 😂
I liked your idea with the phone, but this channel has potential and you are killing it doing it on the phone
It looks great honestly, I think the only thing that will severely hold it back is the price. It seems to have everything you'd want, but again at that price, you could get some other electric trucks or even some fantastic diesel or gas trucks if you want to actually have a work truck. I don't expect anyone to buy these to actually use them like a work truck, so would you spend $110k for a family hauler.
Ah yes it's me again watching cars I can't afford being reviewed at 3 a.m . Mmmm classic
So happy you called it as front trunk and not a frunk. My dream is that we just call it a trunk.
Great Camera!!!!!
My my my. This must be the most appealing truck to me. I love everything about this one EXCEPT, the roof. I'd rather have a sunroof.
Please, let us know which camera you shot this one.
You said you will user cellphones to shoot Auto Focus episodes.
Did you use a cellphone on this one?
